Tomorrow will be an awesome day, you just wait. But, of course, the End of Days is Saturday, so...![]()
But in which time zone? In Korea, I'm 14 hours ahead of Central time...making it 1:37am Friday here, while it's only 11:37am Thursday in Wisconsin...
Would that mean my "End of Days" is before yours?
Got meet up with Didsdaddoc yesterday and enjoyed a good lunch and some excellent conversation. Thanks for the meet up Chris!

Mild excavation? I have a killer slice & wicked hook. Problem is, I never know when they will occur.

According to the cnn article, yes.
If, for any reason, there was someone who was slightly concerned by this, as the current residing DDC theologian, this guy is a hack.

Saw the pic on FB last night (I'll assume that this [X] is that same pic) and while I was impressed that you wore your DIS Dad's shirt, I was just glad to see you were at least wearing a shirt the right way!![]()
Kind of a peanut buttery day today. I've been out of work for just over a month now (budget cuts at my middle school, so instead of renewing my contract, they hired someone cheaper), and I've had four interviews so far, and a few other promising leads...but so far...nothing. It's getting a bit discouraging. I was hoping to have a new job by the beginning of this month. Hopefully, I'll hear something soon.
On top of that, I went to the dentist today for the umpteenth time since October (pretty much been averaging about once a week due to negligence when I was younger)...however, I should be done with that in a few weeks.
Finally, at about 10:30 tonight, I'm sitting at home (DW runs a whiskey bar, so I've usually got the house to myself at night) and I hear a pop and a slight crash. Turns out a jar of gochujang (red pepper paste that's used in many dishes/meals here in Korea) somehow exploded underneath some freshly done laundry. Took me about a half hour to 45 minutes to clean up (I'll do a better job tomorrow, when I have more light). Fortunately, only a little bit of the stuff only got on one pair of DW's pants (unfortunately, they're white pants) and that's it.
Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
What is it with Asian foods exploding this week?

Wait...what?
And before any of you wise guys say anything, no, it does not have anything to do with the subject matter of last night's South Park.

Google "Chinese Watermelons".
Gallagher says he's innocent.

Fair warning, I am unexplicably grouchy this morning. Short fuse=overly snarky comments. I apologize in advance. I have no idea why, it's just a "Stare Daggers at Everybody" sort of day.

My concern is what people will think of Christians. Granted, we've had this happen before. Most notably in 1844 with William Miller, in the 1970's through many popular Christian writers, and again in '94 when Camping's last prediction failed. Funny thing about that - someone who claims to be an oracle of God, biblically, has to live by some pretty strict standards. For instance, every prophecy HAS to come true, exactly as it was prophecied, or they were immediately dragged out of the city and stoned to death. Why? Because, by proclaiming themselves to be the mouthpiece fo God, they are assigning themselves, and their character, to that of God - literally saying "as I am, so is God". So Camping, having proven himself to be a false prophet, is condemned already and no one should take what he says at face value. While I think all end of days talk is beverly, I do commend the people in that article for their faith. I'm just wondering what they will do when the "End of Days" doesn't happen...
No, but I roll with a bunch of seminiarians. Two friends have M.Div's, most of my friends are pastors, and those who aren't are lay pastors. As a result we're all pretty well read. I'm also a lay preacher who witnesses to anyone who will sit still for 5 minutes with me. That, added to the priesthood of all believers I'm in pretty good company. Are you ordain?
