Stopher has been relatively quiet this morning... must be resting up the typing fingers for the stretch run!

Actually, getting ready for a stressful morning tomorrow when I begin the process of registering all 90 Scouts I'm taking to Summer Camp for all of their Merit Badge classes. Going through making sure I have everything in order, blah, blah, blah. As of last night I'm up to 90 Scouts, 27 Adults for the entire week, and 6 adults for part of the week - with another 5 full week possibilities, and another 2-4 partial week possibilities. We certainly are the largest contingent in camp the week we are there. Most Troops bring between 12-24 boys and 3-5 Adults. It's a big job getting ready each year.

Hmmm...I might need to arrange for a stop this summer...
It is a few miles and several stoplights from I-65... but if you're interested I wonder if I can find a way to get up there for a DIS Dads meet. I haven't been on campus since last fall... I miss that place!

I have a friend who is having his 30th Birthday Party at Harry's Chocolate Shop next month, I just hope that I can make it up there for it. Kind of ironic, the main bar on campus is called Harry's Chocolate Shop and the family restaurant on the edge of campus is called Triple XXX...:confused3

WOW! That does sound like a lot of work. Good luck!

Son is geared up for Peaceful Valley this year!!! Shooting ranges should be complete! Guns and Merit Badges.

Well, it looks like we will be canceling the trip to WDW this summer - it appears the budget belt would have to be tightened a few notches to allow for a proper trip and that would be hard on us for 3 months. I am a bit bummed out. What really sucks is the fees we will have to pay to change the flights to next year (or whenever we can go.)

Looks like we will just go to San Antonio and take the kids to Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. I guess that is better than no vacation.

And hopefully next year will be a bigger, badder version than I had planned for this summer.

You'll have your own CLIA by then and so you'll be able to GO BIG!!! for cheap!! Sorry to hear this friend.
Its like losing your dog! You know eventually you'll get a new one, but losing the one you currently have sucks!! :lmao::lmao:

1) I'd like 3 stickers (is there going to be an order form?)
2) I'm wicked tired
3) Just restating the obvious, Portal2 rocks

My wife is doing her training now - I may start on mine tonight though I doubt it. Flight of Honor tonight and then we head home around 2130 or 2200. Fun anniversary? Yes. The way I wanted to spend it? No, but we both agree that this is better.

Sorry you had to cancel WDW, but on the positive side of things, it looks like you should have a good time in San Antonio anyway. As long as you're able to get away and have some fun with the family, that's what matters most! :thumbsup2

I used to love games like that... I rarely ever play video games anymore though. I was addicted to games when I was in college. My favorite games back then were Deus EX and the original Counter Strike. It was awesome in the dorm when I was a freshman. Half our floor would be playing Counter Strike with doors open shouting at each other down the hallway. We'd never cheat and spy for each other.:rolleyes1

I haven't played any Valve games since Halflife2 and Counter Strike Condition Zero, but I'm half tempted to give Portal2 a try sometime... It looks like fun, but I just don't have time anymore to play games. I've barely gotten a good start on Epic Mickey and I've had it since Christmas.:lmao:

There are a few dads on here that have Day of Defeat, we need to get a DOD night! BLOWIN' CRAP UP!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

FreeinRafiki NPR did a story on "Portal" this morning. They mentioned a children's choir in Rancine WI that sang Still Alive in one of their performances? Were you involved?
I wasn't involved, no. But it did make quite a splash last year when it happened. A local blog had a nice write up about it if you wanted to read more:

I know that place well... it was just a couple of blocks away from the apartment I lived in for 3 years while I was in school. It has some of the worst, greasiest food you can imagine... but it tastes so good!
Sounds like my kind of place. :thumbsup2

Total bummer! San Antonio sounds fun, and like the others have said - spending time with the family is what matters most. Dole Whips are secondary.

Sorry to hear that BigTex. San Antonio is nice, though, and the kids will love it. Hope you're still able to have a magical time with your family.

Don't tempt me to go home and clear off my desk so I can put my laptop and mouse up there to play some games. Just thinking about those old games has me half tempted to go home and find the old CounterStrike disc and load it into my laptop. I doubt they even support it or even have anyone playing it online anymore though... game's gotta be 10-12 years old now.
