alright dad's, I'm back, asking for more prayers. As some of you guys know, I've been looking for work for some time now. Well, a former co-worker (from 12 years ago) contacted me today to set up an interview with his firm. Here's where this particular crowd comes into play, the job is in Orlando!!!!!

I have some experience with theme park architecture, but that was a long time ago when I worked on IOA, however, this firm deals mostly in health care facilities.

Either way, I'm interviewing Wednesday at 1:00pm, so some good thoughts my way would be appreciated.

Wonder if my family will get mad if I stop at DTD for lunch?

Good Luck, Hope you get the job:goodvibes

BG was great, it is our park away from WDW:cool1: we go a few times a year:yay: If you like roller costers they have some really good ones, plus the shows are all top shelf:goodvibes

Don (Emma's Dad) lives close by, maybe you can meet up if he's not on his way to Florida by then:confused3 If you can meet up with Don make sure you bought NJ lottery tickets before you go:confused3 last 2 times I won on the day I was to meet Don, Last year was $1986 and $12 this year:lmao:

I hope the lottery is at $5,000,000.00 when we go!! :lmao: We've been there before, but my DS was 4 and he's not big on rides yet, he's 7 now so we'll see if we make it there!! Thanks!! :worship:

More than one person has said it, but yes, it will be crowded. Without a doubt, the most important thing is to do rope drop. Most folks stay out late and get up late on those weeks. I'll also go as far to say to do the park that has the Early Extra Magic Hour then, if you have park hopper tix, go somewhere else after a couple of hours. We did that last year over spring break at HS. We rode TSM, ToTx2, and RR, along with the GMR before 9:30, then hopped to another park for the rest of the day and did what we wanted to do there. Plan, plan, plan.

I need to go then now that I work on a school!! I'll just plan it and suprise here!! How's that saying go, it's better to do it and deal with the consequences then to not try at all?? Or something like that!!! :lmao:

Good morning dads! I had the opportunity to listen to the podcast this morning while having my cup of Joe and reading the latest news. Great job guys....as usual. Love the background music.

Today is shaping up to be yet another beautiful day...definitely more on the "hot" side. 85 and sunny!

It's kind of funny...I'm the Disney obsessed one of the family....and on more than one occasion my wife has said.."I just want it to be Tuesday!" tomorrow...the day we go to Disney. Everyone here is excited to be going tomorrow. And my daughters still don't know we're going!

Hope everyone has a great Monday! I know I'm going to!

I'm still trying to find time to listen to the pod cast, but I'm spending too much time reading all THIS!!! :rotfl: HAVE A MAGICAL TRIP!!! pixiedust:

Ownage? - Just because

Is there really any other reason??? :confused3

Attention Nemisis!!!

Please report to page 208...Please report to page 208.

NO WAY I'M GOING BACK THERE!!! :scared1:

For some reason I missed this post.

We cancelled Miracle League at noon on Saturday because we knew the storms were coming. We went to the store, got what we needed, then headed home. Where we live we saw the wind and rain but didn't feel the effects - one of the benefits of living in a new house, I suppose. Near our church there were houses that were totally destroyed - one had a 40' tree uprooted and tossed into it. There were downed powerlines and another house that was dragged 8' off of its foundation. One guy at my work took the day off to meet with insurance adjusters who are descending on our city enmasse because his roof is pretty mangled and he's lost some siding. He lives a few blocks from the trailer park in Raleigh where 3 people were killed.

We had no power at church on Sunday because power was out and, from my understanding, it still is in that area. We have some family and friends in Sanford that we're still waiting to hear from. Odds are that they're fine but still working to get power restored.

I know that there are some other DISDad's from NC and I'd like to hear from them.

It's good to know that in these situations that God is still in control, even in what we may see as a bad result, He will use for our good and His glory.

YES HE IS!! And the prayers will continue to go out and up for you all that are dealing with these horrors!!! :littleangel:

Happy Passover to any fathers out there that celebrate it... :)
and owned.

My best friend is Jewish, and I too wish you all a happy Passover season and a Happy Easter, or whatever you celebrate this time of year!!! :goodvibes

You want prayers for the job??? Or to keep your family for killing you for going to DTD without them??? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh darn, you get them for both!!! Good luck with the interview!! And if you have to move to Orlando for the job, get a BIG place with lots of rooms so we all have a place to stay when we come down!!!

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!!!

When we were in VA we ate dinner at Jungle Jims, cool looking place, food was OK (nothing to write home about) but they had something on the menu I've never seen or heard of, Hamburger with Peanut Butter:confused3, Is this just something crazy on the menu or is this common down south:confused3

Some time back, I was messing around with a date calculator and figured out exactly how old DW was on the day we got married. I then figured out on what day she would have been married to me as long as she was single. No, I don't know why... But I saved the date in Outlook for curiosity's sake.

That day rolled around today. I decided to buy DW some flowers in celebration of her spending half of her life with me. A friend of hers was over for Dinner tonight so I waited a bit to explain the reason for the flowers (it was fun listening to her and my DDs trying to figure it out though). After explaining it, I wondered what appreciation would come from my romantic gesture.

I got... "You're so Goofy!"

I'll take it! :goofy::rotfl:

Goofy, but cool.

I have some work to do with a calendar I think . . .

Not far now my little Smurfs.

Does anyone else remember that Smurfs episode from childhood - the Smurfs on a long trek, asking, "are we there yet?" and Papa Smurf answering, "Not far now my little Smurfs!"
