Checking in!

Made it to the airport! Our flight's not until 10am, but the kids were all up before 6am, bouncing through the halls. Had to do the final pack with each of them (backpacks, bed stuff/blankies/etc, toothbrushes) before I could shower. Left the house at 7:15, at the airport by 8am. Based on previous years, we wanted to give us 2 hours.

But there is no one here! The shuttle was empty, no line at the counter, no line at security, no line at McDonalds for breakfast. I think we did the whole check-in thing in 10 minutes, max.

Settled in at the gate now. Kids broke out their DS's & DW & I having coffee. Stop-over at BWI, then onto MCO!

Have a good day, guys!

Heard about this the other day on the radio. Maybe they should just make the speed limit heavy dust :cool1:

So did this state employee.

:thumbsup2 You guys have a great trip.

Not even close: North Carolina :worship:

Another interesting day at the school yard today. Kindergarten registration was today :scared1: Add to that, this was our last day before spring break. So glad to have a week to get some things done around the house and to maybe have some quiet time at school with no one knocking or waiting outside of my door. Hope that ya'll have a great weekend and that the impending east coast storms fizzle out on everyone.

ETA: Have a quick question. Our Norton antivirus is coming up for renewal in the next month or so. Do any of you have recommendations for something that will do the job that Norton has done but for a cheaper price or even a free download?? I feel like Norton totally bogs down our computer, especially when it is doing a scan. I downloaded AVG for the kids computers, mainly because we didn't do any kind of money dealings on their computers, and it seems to have worked very well, but I'm leery about doing AVG on our computer because we do a lot of financial stuff on it. Suggestions?? Would the AVG work for us as well?? All opinions are welcome.

We have used AVG without problems for several years.

Tomorrow is opening day for Little League...the rain is coming down heavy tonight and looks like it is going to rain all night long...hoping that we get to play and have our parade tomorrow!

Which state has better basketball?? :confused3:surfweb:popcorn:::rolleyes1

KY is the best. Not only do you have UK w/ 7 championships Rupp 4; Hall, Pitino, Smith 1 each, but you have UL w/ 2 under Crum. Now w/ Pitino at UL & Calipari at UK, it is just a matter of when, how many, & which school will bring home next NCAA Championship.

Indiana also provided Isiah Thomas & his leadership w/ New York Knicks. :rotfl:

Rupp had Pat Riley who later coached the Laker three-peat & 1 w/ Heat.

At least Nemesis theduck has a Gene Hackman movie.

im just kidding. a bunch of us managed to meet up this decemeber. there were more of us but thats was just one meet. i had a great time meeting up with all the dif. dads. its funny, you meet these guys for the first time and its like you have known them forever. all a bunch of great guys!!! :thumbsup2
Thank you! :thumbsup2

LOL I still love Juliana's face in this picture! :lmao:

After a week in Disney, a week of work travel, and reading all these insightful points of wisdom here ..... I did get my TR finished and while I still have about 30 pages to go here, I'll address ...

Really? Why doesn't KY slide into TN? That's right - Hoosier's suck. Or, do you need me to type s l o w e r so you Hoosier's can understand.

That is a real accomplishment. While I didn't have 20 years, I quit that same year as well.

Tim, you must be as smart as hoosier theduck. Really, a 1 point victory is "whipped". I figured as much as Calhoun paid for that officiating, he should have received a little more consideration. But, a win is a win. As for the BBQ, I mailed it to Tim in CN. Have you not received it yet? PM your info and I'll send you another order.
Interesting.... you spent a week in Disney and you come back here this bitter? :confused3 :rotfl2:

You know even though UCONN won by 1 with your hail mary 3 at the buzzer that went in and meant nothing, we held you to your season low point total and totally frustrated Calipari. Did you hear his pre-game speech? He said KU will hold UCONN to 56 points and destroy them. Who knew? :confused3

I don't know any Tim in Cincinnati? I live in CT! :rolleyes1

Ever wonder how The Dukes of Hazzard would be different if the General Lee's horn played IASW instead of Dixie? :confused3
As much as I love IASM, that would be horrible! :lmao:

That's ok, neither does Stopher. But he contributes vast Disney knowledge to the group that makes him invaluable. You, on the other hand... :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

GOOD ONE! :lmao:

When I was in high school I had a part time job at WalMart. At the end of the night, we to to clean up the store, make sure all the product was stocked, etc. One of my assigned areas was the pets department. I would spend 20 down the dog treat isle and come out hungry and looking for some beef to eat!

We'll be up there in Canton until Friday. Drive back on Friday... help a buddy put up a porch on Saturday... then it's 4 days of regular work until our trip to Florida! :cool1: So stoked... only 13 days until Tampa... 16 until the mouse!!! I'm soooo ready for a vacation!
Don, I hope you have the next DDC thread ready... this might not make the weekend. :surfweb:

We've got the local FOX channel on here at work for their 4 o'clock news. They just did a report about a cologne called bacon that smells like... well I don't think I need to explain the rest.
I posted this on the DDC facebook page last night... seriously funny!

So…just to update: Toilet talk yesterday to car talk this morning interspersed with travel/bacon talk and now to flatulence or is that one in the same with car talk? I think we came full circle gentlemen!
This thread comes full circle about 3 times a week! :hippie:

Finally done with first week of number crunching for walmart. There is a TON of money exchanging hands that make this new job quite stressfull. Enjoying weekends off for the first time ever, but makes for very little time to check in on here. Almost an entire board without me, so sad. Taking the family to the Arkansas Razorbacks Spring game tomorrow, watch for me on ESPN, will have to put the minnie ears on the DD3 to go with her cheerleading outfit.

Bitter, no. Just trying to state what really happened. UConn brought their football team, & Calhoun got to ref$ first. Who is KU? As for your little, unrecognizable state, why would I know abbreviation. There is nothing worthwhile of interest there.

Hey DisDr. My wife wanted me to ask if you related to any of the people with the same last name that hail from Kentucky. You have the same last name as her maiden name and her father believes that all of that name are related :rotfl2:

Nope. No relatives in KY that I know of. Paternal grandfather was from TN, moved to LA after WW2. Most all my family is in LA now.

Morning!

Hope you're all doing well! We had a wonderful evening, except for one small bump: my DW left her cell phone on the ME. Realized it minutes later, & called Mears but it was too late. Fortunately, after many calls from us & from Bell services, we got it back at about 1am this morning! Phew. I was very proud of myself for never once giving my DW a hard time about it. Was up at 5am to pick up the phone, but fortunately, my oldest DS was awake. So we got to spend a quiet hour together on the balcony, watching the view (of the pool, no MK view this year). Still precious.

Other than that, we've had a great time. Took the plunge for an AP with DVC discount (thanks for the advice guys!), then walked over to MK to do one ride & a dole whip before dinner. Kids chose Haunted Mansion. The new line is just like the photos, only complaint: people are so eager to get inside, that there is a lot if almost-pushing. Need to take time to appreciate the details!

Then dinner at Cali Grill & the much anticipated (by DD) Cheese Plate! Food was delicious & so was the view!

After dinner, I took the kids to the pool while DW talked to Mears, Bell Services, then Mears, etc. You get the picture...

Okay, Bacon needs attending to, gotta go! Have a nice day! Today's plan: Epcot, Aqua Tour (for DD & me), then boardwalk for dinner

If you are argument is based on totals alone you just made a serious mistake:

John Wooden - product of Indiana 10 championships (7 in a row)
Larry Bird - 3 NBA championships
Bob Knight - 3 NCAA championships and the last team to run the table

And let us not forget Oscar Robertson :thumbsup2

Your argument is squashed, null and void.

Game over thank you for playing :lmao:

Wow. That is something that could have turned out ugly. Glad that you got the phone back. Hope that is the worst thing that happens for you this week.

Regardless, all of our states have some of the real blue bloods of the sport, and in NC, there are two of them within 8 miles of each other and if you throw in NC State who is within 30 miles of the other two (who hasn't done anything in years, but does own 2 national championships) it always makes for some interesting talk here in NC.

Just to make things fair, I'll throw out the NC numbers:

UNC - 5 titles
Dook - 4 titles
NC State - 2 titles

Michael Jordan - 6 NBA titles and the best to ever lace them up, and an NCAA title
James Worthy - I think 3 NBA titles and an NCAA title

Among others.......:thumbsup2

I guess that we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I would like to call a truce.

There are more than 10 UK players that won NBA championships, the most recent being Rondo. Not sure if UL has reached that # yet, but they had Wes Unseld, NBA champ, finals MVP, & initial inauguration of 50 greatest players in NBA history.
