Wow. less, all of our states have some of the real blue bloods of the sport, and in NC, there are two of them within 8 miles of each other and if you throw in NC State who is within 30 miles of the other two (who hasn't done anything in years, but does own 2 national championships) it always makes for some interesting talk here in NC.

Just to make things fair, I'll throw out the NC numbers:

UNC - 5 titles
Dook - 4 titles
NC State - 2 titles

Michael Jordan - 6 NBA titles and the best to ever lace them up, and an NCAA title
James Worthy - I think 3 NBA titles and an NCAA title

Among others.......:thumbsup2

I guess that we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I would like to call a truce.

I'll go w/ cease fire. I enjoy watching Kobe and Lebron play, but I agree that Jordan was the best ever.

Good Mornin' Dads...

It's been raining all night and I am sure it will continue all day here in Toronto.

ETA: Have a quick question. Our Norton antivirus is coming up for renewal in the next month or so. Do any of you have recommendations for something that will do the job that Norton has done but for a cheaper price or even a free download?? I feel like Norton totally bogs down our computer, especially when it is doing a scan. I downloaded AVG for the kids computers, mainly because we didn't do any kind of money dealings on their computers, and it seems to have worked very well, but I'm leery about doing AVG on our computer because we do a lot of financial stuff on it. Suggestions?? Would
the AVG work for us as well?? All opinions are welcome.

AVG works fine. I have also used a PC Tools AV product and ClamWin on Windows machines. I have found Norton to be horribly resource-intensive on even good hardware, and never recommend it.

Calrlnix30: I think you found the Facebook group as I see your post this morning with usernames.

For those of you looking to join us on Facebook here is the link to the group:

This is where we post the monthly photo blitz pics.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We got the call today that soccer is off due to rain / field conditions. Given that its still in the 40s today here, I'm not complaining. Still got to take Mary to a b-day party and get the final things for her party tomorrow.

Dis Dads Podcast Episode 4 is live at the Disdads.com site. It should show up in iTunes sometime tomorrow.

Amazing turnaround time from prattpak and BiL Josh!
Wow that is amazing how fast you got it done and posted. Listened to it last night and enjoyed it.

Did you use a service to rent points Eric?

Morning!

Hope you're all doing well! We had a wonderful evening, except for one small bump: my DW left her cell phone on the ME. Realized it minutes later, & called Mears but it was too late. Fortunately, after many calls from us & from Bell services, we got it back at about 1am this morning! Phew. I was very proud of myself for never once giving my DW a hard time about it. Was up at 5am to pick up the phone, but fortunately, my oldest DS was awake. So we got to spend a quiet hour together on the balcony, watching the view (of the pool, no MK view this year). Still precious.

Other than that, we've had a great time. Took the plunge for an AP with DVC discount (thanks for the advice guys!), then walked over to MK to do one ride & a dole whip before dinner. Kids chose Haunted Mansion. The new line is just like the photos, only complaint: people are so eager to get inside, that there is a lot if almost-pushing. Need to take time to appreciate the details!

Then dinner at Cali Grill & the much anticipated (by DD) Cheese Plate! Food was delicious & so was the view!

After dinner, I took the kids to the pool while DW talked to Mears, Bell Services, then Mears, etc. You get the picture...

Okay, Bacon needs attending to, gotta go! Have a nice day! Today's plan: Epcot, Aqua Tour (for DD & me), then boardwalk for dinner

Glad your wife got her phone back and that the trip is going well. Looks like you've got beautiful weather down there today. Thanks for periodically posting so that we can live vicariously (and slightly enviously) through you.

It is really confusing.. I see two dis dads groups on Facebook and neither one seems to have recent posts.. Am I missing something? Someone pleas send an invite to carlnix30 on Facebook. :thumbsup2

As an NC transplant I've got to agree with you here. Unfortunately when you move to the state you are required by law to affiliate your family with a team and I chose NC State...

I'm an AVG user here too. Many moons ago I was a support engineer troubleshooting a problem with some software we had sold McAfee... Turns out the root cause was they were running Norton on their servers and it was causing issues.

Sorry I've not been here in a while. Busy month. I had a ton of stuff going on from work to trip to Smoky Mountains. It's good to be back and checking out the boards. I have a lot of catching up to do. The new podcast is great, and it seems like there is more people checking out the disdad.com site. Kudos!
