So I was just surprised! my wife bought me a zagg case with blue tooth keyboard for my Ipad!! with a DISDADS skin! check out the pic!!

That's really awesome. If you're carrying that around in an airport you'll be easily identifiable as a disdad.

IT geeks assemble...got a IE8 question...

OK since my IT has moved us to IE8 for our browser standard...being we were stuck on IE6 for years...until finally...just before IE9 is released...we get moved to IE8.

Well now everytime I try to look at the Walt Disney World web site all I get is a bunch of text on the left...some overlaps and you cannot even read it.

I've played with the compatability mode stuff...made sure my flash player is up to date...but still I get garbage.

The Disney Parks site is good...Disneyland...Paris...Japan...Hong Kong...Aulani...all good...

WDW site is jumbled text/links. Any ideas?

Have you tried deleting the browser cache? A simple re-start of the browser or the computer won't do that.

The DDC shirt order has been finally given the go-ahead this morning Just waiting on receiving the proofs... so once they are finalized they will print them out. Invoices are going to be sent out today.. so check your emails for those who ordered. Hopefully the shirts will be ready on the 15th, but that's a tight deadline. I'll ship them to you ASAP once received.

can you post a screen shot of what you see? Have you tried deleting your browser cache? Is any of the backround loading. If your just seeing garbled text can you copy and paste the last little bit of the text.

Update I just played around with one of the PC's here that has IE8 on it. The page seems to load fine on it. It was IE 8.0.6. This doesn't eliminate browser incompatibility as the problem, but it makes me think it's something specific to your setup.

Weird... I have IE8 here at work, too. All sites are coming up fine for me. There is quite a bit of javascript on the page... I would recommend you update your java JRE and try again...

Catching up on the day's events...

Last time we landed there, they decelerated hard and then pulled into the terminal. As we were getting off, we overheard the flight attendant say to the pilot, "Landed kinda hard, didn't you?"

The pilot just looked at her and said, "I hate landing here."

I'd say "landing" beats the alternative.

You could do what my wife's father (a NYC cop) did with his kids, took them out to a shooting range and scared the **** out of them when they were little to make sure none of them ever touched a weapon until they were old enough to handle it. May have scarred her temporarily, but she recovered enough to still join ROTC in college.

I grew up in a house with a lot of guns... and not a lot of safety equipment. Looking back on it, I suppose I got a pretty good introduction to how to shoot, but not so much on how to responsibly lock up guns when kids are in the house.

On a side note...I will be leaving the office in a few to head to Daytona...

I'm doing the Ultimate Driving Experience with the Richard Petty folks down at Daytona International Speedway....Oh man, have I been looking forward to this since I booked it last year...

I had my choice to do it there or Disney, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to drive that fast on Daytona International Speedway!!!

Instead of deleting all browser history you should only need to delete "Temporary Internet Files". You can keep your cookies and your saved passwords. If you do that, it should save your passwords for all your sites.

If you click on those site nave links down the left does the page that loads, load correctly or is the CSS messed up on them too?

I think that would be perfect. Big enough for us to spot if we are driving and see a fellow Dis Dad driving through our area.
