i have a reservation for the spirit of aloha show. do you guy think he'd enjoy seeing the scantly clad women? or should i change that to Ohana?

Did the show in 2009. My DS's were 9 and 14 then...they both liked it...

DS9 really like the "Fire" guy.

I liked the Ribs and Bread and Dessert and Fresh Pinapple and ...

It was worth doing it one time.

Canabils-a-rama has a really good teriyaki 9yo old but I can never finish a whole one myself............wait that not what you meant was it?

If you get the "to-go" stroller you can take your leftovers home and have some nice sandwiches for lunch the next day.

What is a good place to eat, for a 9 year old boy?

great place for any kid or picky eater I would say crystal palace. They have adult buffet as wel as a kid buffet. Chicken nuggets hot dogs and fries. Really great dessert bar as well

I have been to the spirit three times.. Haven't really found a reason why I went back two more times.. My girls like it well enough.. But my son would rather chew his arm off than go again. It is in my opinion and the rest of the family CHEESY!

2000... Year 2K... The year when we all thought the digital world would come to an end because we weren't smart enough to think what would happen when the date rolled over. The year George W. Bush became president. It was a leap year. And it was also the last year of the 20th century. For a lot of us this was a year that we thought many things would change... or when we thought we would make significant changes. Alas, thinking back, it was just another year. And now here were are staring into the face of year 2011. Remember when you thought anything over the year 2000 felt so... futuristic??

I'm not sure that the 2000th post on this board deserves much pomp and circumstance. But I am kindly reminded that my journey on the DIS started just over 3 years ago... the same year I gave up cigarette smoking after nearly 20 years of using it. The year when we decided as a family to take our first journey back to WDW. And I came to this wonderful source of information to figure out where to stay, what to do, where to eat, and the tricks to making an enjoying vacation. Never did I think I'd find a place in a online forum to share my "unpopular" passion with a group of men. But I did! And I am proud to say that you guys have become more than just a bunch of usernames to me... more like a bunch of friends all over the world... who have similar values and an awesome desire to make our families into FAMILIES.

I pray for each of you when I get up in the morning that God would give you the strength, wisdom, and love you need to get through the day doing His work. Thanks for allowing me the honor and privilege to keep the thread going. I know we have many, many , many more to go!

FYI, you can get a smaller scale "fire guy" experience for free every Tuesday - Saturday at 6 p.m. in front of the Great Ceremonial House at the Poly. A drummer and a fire dancer do a torch lighting ceremony.

Following up on a suggestion from theduck619, I've posted the recording schedule for DIS Dads Podcasts through episode 10, which coincidentally also takes us through the end of June, on the DIS Dads Calendar. We're still recording roughly every two weeks, on Thursday nights beginning at 9:00 p.m. Central Time. But due to my work travel schedule, Episode 5 is set for a Tuesday night (in case some of you who wanted to participate had a problem with Thursday nights).

I'm going to begin editing those calendar events with more detailed information on planned topics, so if you're interested in participating, you can look ahead for topics that you'd like to talk about. The easiest way for me to keep track of people who want to participate is for them to send Email to my screen name @disdads.com. It's just too difficult to keep track of people expressing interest here in the thread - it moves way too fast. If you're interested in a particular topic or date, please mention that in the Email.

My dad used to have an old '79 Chevy truck. He kept it around because they wouldn't give him anything for a trade in so he'd use it from time to time. Anytime he took it into town, he always left the keys in and the windows down... sometimes even with the motor running, but it was always there when he came back out.

I have an '88 Chevy Truck that is similar to your dads. Its not worth anything for a trade, but I own it and do not have a car payment. We live near the City of Reading which is high in crime and drugs. They mostly stay in the City but once in a while venture out to break into vehicles looking for money or electronics that they can sell. My truck has been "broken into" (i don't lock the doors, mainly because they don't lock) and no one has taken any of my cassette's? I would love to have a picture of the dsiappoint on someones face breaking into my truck and finding nothing but cassettes.
