did you ever eat something, than look at the expiration date on the jar???? i just ate mayo that expired 6 months ago! cant wait to see the result of this one.

I have eaten mayo with a sell-by date that was nearly a year prior with no ill effects. Maybe keeping it refrigerated helps?

Me too.

"Sell-by" and "Expires" are two completely different things really. We had a discussion just like this at dinner the other night. Some things truly do "expire" and need to go by the date printed - others that are "sell by" are generally guidelines... kind of like the pirate code.

My co-worker (who is also my BIL) is known as ThunderButt and has this thing where he'll plant his butt flush on the hollow door to my office and rattle one off....It's quite loud and obnoxious.

It is not fun in a tent for 2.5 months!! I was the aquatic director for weeblos at Goshen scout reservation one year.. Good experience lousy sleeping conditions. Our highlight of each week was taking a road trip to good ole Wal Mart! I still remember some words to our hawaiian punch skit! Ahhhhh noooooo. Those buddy tags!!! No no nooooooo! I just realized I have PSRSD
Post scout reservation stress syndrome!!

Not fun either:3 months in a tent in the middle of a bare base in the country of Jordan during the summer. We enjoyed the days when a cool front came in and only got up to 115F. But I digress... that was NOT in the scouts. I only mean to say: I totally understand where you are coming from.

(And I was in the Air Force, so we had air-conditioned tents - so it wasn't 'Army bad' or 'Marines bad'.)
