... I stopped what i was doing and solved the problem for her. Lucky me. (of course, as a husband and father, that’s just what you’re supposed to do as far as i’m concerned… but still… lucky me.)

I'm looking for a second here. I feel pretty strong about this. A few months ago I had to leave work to go get my DD, her car broke down and her husband (not DH) was too busy at work and couldn't leave to help her. He knows better now! :upsidedow But to me family always comes first before anything else!

I'll second that for MAN LAW :thumbsup2

Grrrrr... Nothing like going through 15 pages and clicking the multi-quote button and then have the browser crash! I was going to reply to everyone's posts, but I just don't have the energy to go back and select them again :lmao:

For the shirts, I believe I have enough dads interested to get the ball rolling on an order. So.... this is what I plan on doing:

- Create an order form for interested dads to fill out
- Set deadline for order submissions
- Create and send out PayPal invoices to each dad for their order
- Send order to local print shop. They require 50% down when order is placed which I will take care of.
- When the shirts arrive, I will ship out the orders using USPS flat rate shipping once payment is made by PayPal. $4.95 to anywhere sounds good to me. I may have to charge more for shipping for more than 2 shirts. Currently, the medium box is $10.95 flat rate. I need to get to USPS and see the sizes I'm working with. If anyone has some shipping tips, send me a PM please! :)

Since there are a few dads that would like to have the shirt ASAP, I'd like to set the deadline as this Friday, April 1st (and no, this isn't an April Fool's joke :lmao:). This is just to get the shirt order placed. Payment can be made at a later date (TBD).

I'm not looking to make any money doing this... just want the dads to get a good deal and be able to proudly display our logo! Keep in mind, this shirt will include the "colorized" version. Again, here is what the shirt would look like in white:

Ok gentlemen, time for the weekly update of the NASCAR fantasy league. A few weeks ago, Mater's Racers appeared to be running away from the pack, but things are starting to tighten up. birdslightyear has pulled within 11 points after another strong performance this week. Currently, 1st place and seventh are separated by only 75 points and the entire field is within 191 points.

Auto Club 400 - Week 5 high score $6 Disney Racers 298 points
  • Kyle Busch
  • Martin Truex Jr.
  • Ryan Newman
  • Trevor Bayne
Finally, someone had the highest weekly score without using Bobby Labonte in their lineup. I'm guessing that might have something to do with the fact that he drove about half a lap on both front rims and then the car didn't seem to want to stop burning after it stopped.

The league standings after 5 races are as follows:
  1. Mater's Racers - 1070
  2. birdslightyear - 1059
  3. $6 Disney Racers - 1043
  4. Jungle Cruisers - 1009
  5. Duck Martin - 1008
  6. Pride Rock Motorsports - 997
  7. Test Track Dummies - 995
  8. Taxidermy Tech - 931
  9. DF Racing - 908
  10. Rolling Thunder Racing - 879

Thanks Don, I just ordered mine. I will definitley wear it proudly in May

Morning guys:

So I'm checking FB this morning, scrolling through a bunch of recent posts, and see this status update that my co-worker Chris put up last night as he and his wife were driving back home from Missisauga, Canada from a customer's Grand Opening Celebration yesterday morning. My DW told me about it last night before I went to bed, but I'd already shut down my computer, so I figured I'd wait and see it this morning. I was rolling, tears streaming down my cheeks.

Christy: "OMG, what's that smell?"
Chris: "That's the smell of excellence."
Christy: "Gross, roll down your window!"

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I love having that little window lock button in my van. It locks them all - even DW's window. That way, we all get to bask in my excellence just a little bit longer. :woohoo:

On the cake issue - we got one for DD at CRT with princesses on it. It tasted fine, but probably was not worth the extra cost. Especially if you don't finish it and have to either throw the rest out or try to carry it around with you the rest of the day. We also tied to get a Winnie the Pooh cake for DS's birthday at Crystal Palace. We called the bakery, but they said they couldn't do a Pooh cake because of licensing issues. So you can have the character walking around the restaurant, greeting kids and taking pictures, but you can't put him on a cake? :confused3:confused3 (This was over 3 years ago, so maybe things have changed, but found it very odd at the time)

Thank you Don, I ordered.

Funny thing happen this weekend. I was all done packing for Disneyland, and the DW asked if I needed anything from the laundry, I told her no, I'm all done packing, (I was feeling quite proud of myself for being done early). DW says, "Oh, so you're not taking your new DisDads shirt?" All it takes is one "Ah, Shoot!" to wipe out all of the "Atta Boys". :rotfl:

Cool! I actually said something meaningful. Thanks Randall!

In my family we have a phrase specifically for this idea. Any time someone in my house attempts to toss compliments or accolades toward me just for doing the right thing or wonder why I immediately put family and true friends ahead of my wants, I just simply say: “That’s what you do”. As devoted fathers and proud DisDads I know y’all can immediately relate to this creed simply because as a “Dad”… That’s what you do.

I hate when that happens. I’ve taken to copying all the quotes out of the advanced page and working on them in a separate editor so that I don’t loose all the work when the browser crashes or the site simply loges me out for taking too long to get finished.

Not a bad week, especially after I forgot about it until about 10 minutes before the race started. Slowly but steadily moving my way up the list.

I follow the "I am third" rule as a Dad:

First - God
Second - Family and everyone else
Third - me

So, I agree that is what "we" as Dads do.

Thanks Don - just placed my order! Probably won't be done in time for my April 16th trip - but no big deal. I'll be sure to wear it my next trip - who knows when!?

Hmmmm... They are saying 7-10 days from the shop.... and another 2 to ship USPS... would be close, but might be able to make it!

Might have to try this next time :thumbsup2

Don, grey isn't available for a shirt color? I would go with blue but I'm not sure what the logo would look like on a blue shirt...:confused3

I already am gonna order a white one. :thumbsup2
