Strange how my little one is starting to really get into some of the cartoons that were on when I was a kid. She's been a Scooby Doo fan for a while but lately has been enjoying Tom and Jerry, Wacky Races, and the Smurfs (OK, not all winners). I agree with Mipatn on the Wonderful World of Disney. I wish they would bring that back and the Muppet Show.

The Wonderful World of Disney was our family's Sunday night tradition growing up. I miss that. I also wish they had made more episodes of Amazing Stories. "The Mission" (the episode with the landing gear) has always stood out in my mind. We introduced our kids to the Brady Bunch on this last trip.

I wish that my kids could have grown up watching the Wonderful World of Disney.

Tell me about that. Always looked forward to 7:00 on Sunday (that's when it came on here in our area).

Well, my son beat me in the bracket contest. I think that the only FF team that I had was UConn, that is if I actually had them there in this bracket. But, I would be willing to bet that no one in our group had all 4 FF teams :lmao: Hated to see my Heels fall this afternoon, but the better team won today (as a former basketball coach, it's easy for me to say that regardless of team affiliation). Speaking of DS, gotta brag for a second; 4 goals yesterday (Saturday) in his challenge league soccer match in a 6-4 win. His team got to play on the great turf fields at one of the local soccer complex sites. He said "it was like playing on a real pitch, dad." Well, it's much better than the converted pasture that is our home site :rotfl2:

Anxiously waiting to see what the weather will bring us tonight. The weather has been really weird around here for the past three days...........

That's awesome on the goals.:thumbsup2

Are they calling for snow in your neck of the woods tomorrow?

Good stuff all. :thumbsup2

Animation for the kiddies…
Explosions for the teens…
Jokes and social satire for the grownups…

Combinations that are hard to beat.
That’s the way animation used to be done.
That’s old school…
And I resemble that remark. :lmao:

Hey, Hey, Hey.. There is no age limit on explosion enjoyment

Wonderful World of Disney was great! I loved it when it was a cartoon or some great adventure story. If it was something that wasn't any good you could always watch Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.popcorn:: Way to bring up that memory...we always had Sunday evening Church so we played sick a lot, I think or Mom was on to it though because she would watch it along with us too.

Ok dads... I finally received a quote from a local shop willing to print out a bunch of the DIS Dads Club shirts. I'd like to gauge the interest in the dads who would be interested in purchasing a shirt. I still have a couple outstanding questions with the vendor, but as it stands, I can get shirts up to size XXL for $11 a shirt. The text in the front will be modified with your member name and number.

Still need to find out if shirt color will change the price. Also, I'd be willing to ship these out at cost. Not sure how much shipping would be for various dad's locations, but I would think this is still cheaper than through other shops.

Looks good... I would order one. Thanks.

We did it, but compared to some, we weren't very creative.

There is this thread (it has an index for the photo gallery in the second post):

"Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas."

I know that they sell them at the contemporary store. You might be able to find it on-line as well, but in my brief google search for you, I could not.

I found one on clearance at Disney outlet close to me. I'll post up a pic when I can...

That's awesome on the goals.:thumbsup2

Yeah, in the mountains they are. But, we're on a regular school schedule today, so we didn't get anything as of yet, and doubt that we will.

I got lucky and actually beat my son. I figured as much ESPN that he watches he would have beat me.

That is great with your sons goals! I'm gonna brag a little too. My son had a similar day yesterday with flag football. He caught three TD passes, he threw for a TD, he got a sack for a safety and got a 1 pt conversion. That is great when they have days like that. He was still talking about it this morning.

Morning guys:

So I'm checking FB this morning, scrolling through a bunch of recent posts, and see this status update that my co-worker Chris put up last night as he and his wife were driving back home from Missisauga, Canada from a customer's Grand Opening Celebration yesterday morning. My DW told me about it last night before I went to bed, but I'd already shut down my computer, so I figured I'd wait and see it this morning. I was rolling, tears streaming down my cheeks.

Christy: "OMG, what's that smell?"
Chris: "That's the smell of excellence."
Christy: "Gross, roll down your window!"

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

‘Morning all… Hopefully none of you got anything too sloppy from this late winter assault.
For us it’s nothing more then a cold rain.

Hey, Hey, Hey.. There is no age limit on explosion enjoyment

Ahhhh yes, but you’re assuming that the esteemed members of this board may have actually grown up…

This group? Grow up? Like… Actually leaving their youth?

I know that you’re not going to go with that one. :lmao:

Now there you go… It’s not even 9:00 and I already have to call down to Tech-Support for a new monitor (they’re starting to get real suspicious about all these spilt coffee stories). :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So that's what I should call it. That'll get the wife going. :lmao:

Has anyone ordered a custom cake for any of their kids b-days? I was thinking of having one for our first dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

We had a cake at Chef Mickeys on our last trip, and they did a great job with it. We also had 2 the year before, one at Ohana and another at the castle. All were designed very well. My kids and wife all loved them. And people around us loved when we passed it out to them as well. If you are in a resort without a fridge, you may want to rethink it...

AJ,

On the podcast the other night one of the Dad's mentioned he has the "Please stand clear of the doors" has a ringtone and a shirt. Who was that? My wife went nuts, she wants a shirt. It has always been the phrase we love hearing and let's us know we are there.

My new ringtone is the opening to the podcast thanks to prattpack. I will hopefully get one of the DisDads shirts soon, but got a few more pounds to go before fitting into a 2xl comfortably. And the DW is already saying no to a white one.

That's why Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie. He's always had the right idea. Growing up is SOOOOO overrated.

My wife wants me to get a black one as well, but I am happy with white. How did you do the ringtone. I am not all that tech savvy :confused3

Ok, if I missed anything very important fill me in, but not going back all those pages for the last 3 days... unless it is a slow day here :goodvibes

Looks good... I would order one. Thanks.

I love that! my wife and I played dutch oven last night... well not her as much as I set the traps and then waited for her to come to bed. . .. I hit the edge of the night stand with my head after being forceably removed from the bed... but it was worth it! !
