My grandmother has taken several positive steps in the recovery direction! My aunt & uncle have moved her in to a Board & Care facility, where she's in a much smaller patient to staff ratio... they told me it's 1 to 2... way down from the Assisted Living place, and the rehab center she was most recently at

Great news, Christopher! :thumbsup2

OH, I'm so in with this. I will admit that I might not meet each and every criteria...the one that fits me best is that DW thinks I'm a big kid. :thumbsup2

So who am I? Disneyzell (AKA Drew), but DW also posts on this name, so don't let her fool you! :thumbsup2 I'm 40...from New Hampshire. I have two boys, 12 and 8 in addition to my lovely bride.

We have a trip to the World planned for July followed by a 5 day cruise on the new Dream...woohoo!

I am in the middle of a trip report for our Cruise on the Wonder.

Ok dads... I finally received a quote from a local shop willing to print out a bunch of the DIS Dads Club shirts. I'd like to gauge the interest in the dads who would be interested in purchasing a shirt. I still have a couple outstanding questions with the vendor, but as it stands, I can get shirts up to size XXL for $11 a shirt. The text in the front will be modified with your member name and number.

Still need to find out if shirt color will change the price. Also, I'd be willing to ship these out at cost. Not sure how much shipping would be for various dad's locations, but I would think this is still cheaper than through other shops.

Don, I'm in for 1 maybe 2! ::yes::

My uncle showed up yesterday and she recognized him and was able to speak fairly lucidly. Her hair had been done, along with her nails, and she told him she felt beautiful. :)

She still has a ways to go, but she is feeling better. Her cracked rib still needs to be dealt with properly, but she has a new wheelchair and apparently said she likes her new room. So we rejoice in those things.

Have a great Saturday all!
Christopher... great news!!! Glad to hear she is making strides in the right direction! :goodvibes

NCAA Update

Guys, My conference has no Internet access (thank goodness for my iPhone!), so I won't be able to post the ranks until tomorrow night. Sorry! Since I had Ohio St winning it all, personally I should be dropping rapidly in the standings...

Oh, and Don, I'd be in for another shirt!

I'd definitely be in for one. I'd also be willing to pay a premium - say $3 - $5 - for a black option (and might get one in white and one in black, in that case).

I am definitely interested. I was hoping to get one before our trip in May.

Hey guys - just wanted to share a bit of happy news. I got off the phone with my uncle a few moments ago, and since it's been a little bit since I mentioned it, thought I would now while I'm waiting for the call to go pick my son up from his Scout activity this morning - one of those "we'll call when we're done" kind of things.

Welcome Drew! Its a good place to be sir. You can also find us at www.disdads.com and on Itunes now too!!! do a search for podcast, disdads

Stopher: Thanks for the good news update. I realize there's still a long way to go, but that's fantastic that she seems to be comfortable and happy with her new surroundings. Sometimes that can make all the difference in the world.

Drew: Welcome to the DIS Dads club. You don't have to meet all the criteria, but I'd say if you found us, you probably are addicted enough to qualify!:thumbsup2

My bracket has officially crashed and burned with the Buckeyes exit last night.
Mine already crashed and burned last week. At least the left half of my Final Four is still intact. I have UNC and UConn. We're not going to talk about the right side though.:rolleyes1

I might gain some ground if UConn and UNC make the Final Four, but since I had Pitt winning it all, I don't think you have much to worry about from me.

I’d love to have a couple of these as well. If it’s an option, I’d also toss in the extra to have it done in black (it's my favorite color, or at least it is until we come up with something darker), but I’m cool with what ever deal you can work out. Nice job.

I still wish I’d acted quicker and joined in on the DDC pool, but my brackets are a mess as well. I'm still in the hunt in the office pool though so long as Kansas keeps winning.

=============
I went and got myself a bit behind around here. If you miss a day or two, there’s a lot of reading to do, but I like it!

I had a rather long day yesterday. No sooner then I get to work then DW calls and says that her car’s Check-Engine light had kicked on. So I took the rest of the day off, headed down to pick it up and headed back up to town to get it checked. I figured It’d be a false alarm or a minor sensor, but better safe then sorry. I was sort’a right. It was a sensor, but it was one on the camshaft that drives the fuel injection and ignition firing patterns and timing. The thing was running rough and stalled on me on the way up there so it’s good that I jumped on it so quickly. Of course the 500 bucks that the repair cost were not helpful, but at least the car is paid for. Odd thing is that yesterday was my DW’s birthday and although you’d think shed have been upset about having the car squat on her BD, rather instead she was thrilled because I stopped what I was doing and solved the problem for her. Lucky me. (Of course, as a husband and father, that’s just what you’re supposed to do as far as I’m concerned… but still… Lucky me.)

BTW: Three months until we sail on the Dream!!!!! :woohoo:
