Mario Kart Tourney?

Is it happening? Details?

Count me in!

My gamer tag # and another # were on pages 168. I put a discussion board thread on Dis Dad FB group that includes my gamer tag. You would be #3. I raced just one other person and is still fun. Once those interested add on, we can figure out what time works best and link everyone.

Speaking of online gaming. I use a pc gaming platform called Steam. http://store.steampowered.com/ which is free. I play Day of Defeat Source, which cost $9.95. Its a game like Call of Duty but set in WWII. Allies vs Axis of Evil!! Tons of customized maps and a ton a online people. Let me know if you get it or have it. My screen name is....wait for it.......prattpak1 (original I know) :rotfl:

Sigh... I have been putting this off for weeks now, but I.T. finally caught up with me. I just gave an interview over Skype. Ugh. One of those annoying little "Getting to Know You" kind of jobs that they like to post on our intranet. I hate those annoying little things, but put my best foot forward and did it. At least I got it over with, I guess, even though I've been avoiding their request for the past 10 weeks! :rotfl: Instead of the tax man cometh, mine was the IT guy cometh... :lmao:

Hummm… Glad you got it over with, but I’m curious as to what the interview consisted of. I’ve never heard of an employer showing any interest in their staff beyond merely seeing them as a resource to be exploited and discarded.

BTW… It appears that my keepers have inadvertently lifted the ban on accessing this site (which was put in place a little while back). Very interesting and unexpected development, but I suspect that I’ll need to be fairly judicious about accessing the boards on site so as not to arouse the ire of the guard dogs too often.

Here's the one I bought from Amazon.com that I'm using with my Macs:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0007SXHP0/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

It retails for over $40, but they are available as refurb or used for substantially less. An Amazon marketplace vendor who does their fulfillment through Amazon is about as "safe" a third party vendor as there is.

One other possibility - if you have Rock Band or Guitar Hero with a microphone for a video game system, you might plug that mic into your Mac and see if it works. I've seen reports of those mics working surprisingly well.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

I don't have Rock Band or Guitar Hero. I tried it at a friend's house once. For some reason, all the neighborhood dogs started howling like crazy. :confused3

Please tell me you gave serious answers while picking your nose, digging for gold the whole time! :rotfl2:

We won't tell them you're here. :tiptoe:

Norm, depending on whether I have scouts tonight, I'm in. Otherwise, I could do Thursday night instead

Tonight works, as long as I can get DW off the TV ;) I have soccer tomorrow, but can go after that if not too late. I need my beauty sleep.

Yo Doc...there's a DisDoctor Request on the page...:lmao::lmao:

You mean I need to read all these posts?! I didn't see it...

Norm, just found out that despite the snow here, I have an evening scout committee meeting, so I can't do tonight. Sorry!

I'd like to nominate a song for the Dis Dad's Club, but I guess it would be a song for all the Dis Dads with a daughter. I never heard of Steven Curtis Chapman or this song "Cinderella" until I heard this song in my daughters' dance performance this weekend.

I stopped playing Mario Kart to look it up on YouTube and play it again. Sorry for the link, I don't know how to get the commercial off of it.

:thumbsup2 steven cutis chapman nar. the candle light proc. during the holidays over at epcot. if you ever get a chance to see this guy, hes amazing! :lmao: our dd is in her senior year and 15th year of dance, she has 2 more comps. and the recital to go. this year, she does her senior solo at the recital. ive been driving around with a copy of the solo song in my work car so i hear it a million times so when i have to watch her do her final dance,i dont start blubbering like a baby in front of 1100 people.:lmao: great song!:thumbsup2

OK - I have DisDadDoc and Disney Commando booked for Podcast Episode 3, to be recorded on March 31. I could use two more volunteers. Opening roundtable will be about Magic Kingdom touring approaches. Anyone?

I'll go on there if we can't get enough people to fill the peanut gallery. I was on the first two and don't want to hog up a guest seat if someone else wants to be involved. :thumbsup2

I registered the gamer tag. So, just let me know when.

I think I have one that is headed that way. She is 9 and this is her 6th year of dance. She loves it. She has tried basketball, tennis, swim, soccer and her favorites are dance and basketball. Here, they have an "apprentice company" and "junior apprentice company" that they pay to be a student helper for the younger children. This year, they did not have enough in the companies and she is too young to join, but they asked her to be the student helper. So, I guess she is really good. Plus, they pay her more for 1 hour class than her allowance for an entire week.

I will be in as long as I can get a headset before then. I would probably need some more info, because I have never done one before
