DD has always been a thrill seeker and we measured her growth by what attractions she could now ride. Splash Mountain and R&R were particular milestones. On about her third ride on R&R (all back to back) she was so excited that a CM thought she was scared. He came over to check and told her that if she did not want to ride, it was OK. She looked at him like he had three heads and answered, “Of course I want to ride."

As others pointed out, it all depends on the kid. While she would try it, our neighbors' kids (who were a year older) would not. Their mom would take DD on a ride while the girls stayed on the ground with their dad.

Okay, guys, my younger daughter just had her 4th birthday, and upon measuring her height for this milestone, we found out she was 40" tall. This means that the whole family is eligible to ride Tower of Terror. Mwahahaha. :scared1:

My question is: At what point did you subject your children to this ride? I have seen people go on with kids right at the height of the measuring stick, but I have no idea who those yahoos were. I know who you yahoos are. Any thoughts?

My oldest (then 6) rode ToT and loved it, but 4 yr old hated it. Last year at 8 & 6, both rode EE for 1st time & both hated it. They both rode Space Mountain & Thunder Mountain Railroad & loved it. So, I think it's like anything else for children - they like different things on different days. Good luck.

Hey guys. Just checking in. Work has been an absolute “Beverly” of an experience for the last couple of weeks :headache: and it won’t be letting up for at least another week while we waste our time rewriting every reporting process in the house to suit the current whims of the current execs. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to actually keep up and join in on the conversations in another week or two. :sad2:

Y’all keep ‘em straight out there and I’ll check back in later on. :thumbsup2

i will have to make sure to remember this!

MiJo: Congrats on the Navy Dads nomination. Very impressive.

ToT: I'll just say that my girls love thrill rides. When they were tall enough DD7 and DD6 both loved to go on ToT. Fortunately DD3 wasn't tall enough so I had someone to keep me company. :rotfl2: Next time we go I think I may do a single rider line on RnRC while everyone else does ToT.

Amazing Race: Thanks for the reminder. W hadn't setup the new season pass yet. I'm not sure if I'll join on Facebook tomorrow since we typically watch "delayed" via TiVo, but "Good Luck. We're all counting on you."

I'm an Amazing Race addict... I'll probably be watching it off DVR at a later time though.

Long time DisDad, have not posted in many many moons though. DS4 (an adrenaline junky) went on TOT last July, loved it but quote," That was fun, but I don't want to do it again for a while." We all laughed. We are currently going through big time WDW withdrawls, usually go twice a year, but econ/budget has slowwed us a little. We are set to arrive "home" at WDW in July and it will have been 12 months since last visit. First time that we have gone this long between trips in almost 10 years. Looking for any ideas to celebrate our return "home". It will be DW, DS5, and Dis Papa.
Thanks.
Enjoy the 500.

Goofy4Prez forgot to add that

MY ENTIRE FAMILY ENJOYED WATCHING THE PACKERS WIN!

My grampa talked to me about the great Lombardi as I was growing up and I became a PACKERS fan, also have a Dad who is a rabid PATS fan, so I am kin of split. I look at it as I have an AFC and NFC team, and yes I can do that, I am a football coach it is OK.
I had my wife, DS5 and myself decked out in Green and Gold. My great friend from college (born and raised in Pitt) was dressed to the hilt in Black and Gold, including a superbowl patched jersey. Sad to say but we exchanged over 50 texts during the game, but I came out on top.

Though Goofy4Prez would enjoy.;)

For TOT our last trip in Dec was his 1st time on it, he had no idea what it was, if you looked at him, he was scared:scared1:, after the ride I asked him how he liked it, being the brave little guy he is he said he liked it (my wife and I knew he was scared), so I said do you want to go on it again now, he responded, maybe tomorrow:lmao:

Don, we will be in VA at BG July 11-15:woohoo:

Woohoo! :woohoo: 4 days! I think we'll be able to meet up at some point during that time.

:lmao::lmao: Welcome back to the club! Been a while since we've seen any members with a number less than 100! Sorry to hear about the slowdown, but you'll be there soon enough!

Woohoo! :woohoo: 4 days! I think we'll be able to meet up at some point during that time.

It is really a 7 day trip, 1 day National Mall (uncle who works in DC as tour guide, guess I should let him in on ot soon:confused3), 2 days of KD, 3 days of BG, 1 day to hit something I think is in your backyard, Virginia Zoo in VB, and some kind of living museum with a Dino section, either in NN or VB:confused3

Hey, guess who's son is Sailor of the Week on Navy Dads? :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Not a big reality show fan, but if they ever do Amazing Race in WDW I would try to get on it (my wife would not be my partner on the show, would have to pick another Dad, just to show the Moms up:lmao:):confused3

My new Logitech headset arrived today. I finally got a chance to play with it for a few minutes after I got The Bug to bed. Looks like it's going to work great. While testing it, however, I did discover something else interesting - have you ever tried saying, "DISDads Podcast" out loud? It's much, much more of a tongue twister than I'd imagined. It took me three tries to say it without a mistake the first time (though subsequent tries were easier).

CONGRATS MIKE!!!:thumbsup2 (i still have a ba flag hanging in my garage waiting for the boss and his crew chief signature):cool2:

That could happen if you can make it to the Millville, NJ, airshow on Sunday, May 29th!
