Hope everyone had a great Christmas....

My youngest DD welcomed me home from work Thursday night throwing up only to get better by Friday morning to find my Oldest DD throwing up! Christmas day everyone was fine until by youngest DD woke up from her nap covered in her own doo doo (pardon the professional term). She then was nice enough to give it to me!

The kicker is...my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, 3 nephews, sister, grandmother, father, and wife's grandmother all come down with the same illness on Sunday.

I'm all about sharing with family during the holidays....

Yikes. Our family of 4 went through that a few weeks ago. All 4 of us got it within 12 hours of each other. Man was it bad. But you are correct about one thing; the holiday season is for sharing

hay its ray!!! gorshgoofy!!! as with everyone else who i met, rays a heck of a nice guy. we were able to meet up at the christmas party and may see each other again in october. it was a pleasure to meet you ray!!

I'm slowly digging through my vacation pictures, but I though I would pull out the DisDads meet shots that I have.
Aside from the Ghiridelli and Wishes meet pics that have been posted, I met up with Ray (GorshGoofy) briefly during a hectic opening at Magic Kingdom:

well, we just got back from philly this morning.took dw back to the brain surg. to read the mri she had done in philly the day before we left for florida. if you remember, she had a tumor the size of a quarter on her optic nerve. she completely lose the sight in her left eye. they did sterotactic readiation.(a one time heavy dose of radiation. very dangerous next to the brain and the other optic nerve.) THEY HIT THE TUMOR!!! the tumor is about half the size of a dime with holes in it. the doc was suprised they got that much shrinkage. hes very happy, were very happy. shes cleared!!! we are going back in 6 months for another mri just to keep an eye on the entire area. she will probley be doing that the rest of her life but we can handle that.its the best christmas present we could ever hope for!!! thanks for all the prayers and well wishes through this 10 month ordeal she has gone through. (and thanks to all the people at wills eye and jefferson univ. hosp. they saved her life with a little help.)

Must apologize for taking so long to get back to the boards after the trip. I spent the week afterward recovering and catching up with everything. Christmas week was next (great visit with mom -- without my computer). Finally have time to settle in and ... okay I'm ready to plan the next trip!!!

im with mijo, bareley got 4 inches. most of it blew around. very,very windy. i left for work at 4:30am monday and drove by the house and at the end of the block in my rear mirror there was a bright green glow and fireworks. wishes? no. fantasmic? no. it was a power line flying around in the wind. we lost power for about 2 hours and they got it fixed. the house only lost about 3 degrees. there talking almost 50 degrees on sunday around here, almost florida in early december.

We lost power for about 5 hours on Christmas Eve. Luckily, we weren't at home for the majority of it as our Christmas Eve travels took us to my wife's grandmother's house. Needless to say, that could have made for an, um, interesting Santa experience.

Finally have time to settle in and ... okay I'm ready to plan the next trip!!!

Has anyone been to this resort? We are seriously contemplating renting points to visit for a few days in October. Will it feel like Disney without the parks and dining plan? We have a wedding to go to GA and want to tie our vacation in with the trip down there. And we can not go to WDW again this year.

I BUSTED MY WIFE!!!!! I walked into the bedroom last night and she quickly slams the laptop closed. Hmmmmmm very suspicious. So she fesses up to looking into a trip for October!! 3 day Disney cruise followed by 4-5 days at CBR! Under $1800??? Can this be correct.
So after grilling her for more info, she wants to leave the kids at home and go for her Birthday with a few of our couple friends. Then she tells me "we cant afford to go again this year"....ggggggrrrrrrrrrrrr
I do the crunching of the numbers and if we put the $200 down now....we only would pay $170 a month to pay it off in time. Cant afford $170 a month? ARE YOU NUTS!?!?! Ill work OT for the next 10 months if I have to. WE'RE GOING WOMAN!!!!!

Hey!! DW and I are going on the Disney Dream on October 20-22, Thursday -- Sunday. It's only 3 days but for a lady who's afraid of deep water and elevators it's quite a leap. I've booked it but am wondering if she'll back out. I still hope to get to the parks Monday -- Wednesday before the cruise. That's what I still want to plan. Depends on $$!

I need at least one trip on the books or I start to feel anxious!! I need that somewhere in my future!!

Wow, all this talk about cruising must be contagious. We're thisclose to booking 4 nights on the Dream sailing on Oct 30.
