Has anyone been to this resort? We are seriously contemplating renting points to visit for a few days in October. Will it feel like Disney without the parks and dining plan? We have a wedding to go to GA and want to tie our vacation in with the trip down there. And we can not go to WDW again this year. :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Any information is greatly appreciated!

sorry jason, never been there. im not a big beach person. i would be willing to bet its as nice as any disney resort you would find at there parks.

And the winner of the Dole Whip Cup is....

Jasmine's Necklace!!!

Congratulations to Freezin' Rafiki's team on their impressive victory over the Mouse of Pain. You can pick up your Dole Whip Cup in Adventureland in Disney World. Just send me the bill and I'll be sure not to pay it.

Jasmine's Necklace was probably the most consistent team all year, as well as the sparkliest. They certainly had the best logo, which some owners complained of as being too distracting. On a related note, those owners who complained are not allowed in the league next year. On a still related note, we need more owners with pictures of hot Disney Princesses as their logo.

In the other games, the Test Track Dummies beat the Passamaquoddy Dragons for 3rd Place. The Small World Singers beat Le Cellier Dwellers for 5th Place. The Duckburg Ducks beat the Matterhorn Yodelers for 7th Place.

Congrats to all the teams on a great and fun year with lots of good trash talking and some intense rivalries. Look forward to doing it again next year.

I will be doing a Fantasy Baseball league in the spring and will be posting about it as soon as they open the leagues up for sign-up.

Oh, man. I didn't even know you were sick. I'm so sorry. How long do you have? :rotfl2: (Seriously - nice watch!)

That's OK - mine were itching to get going as well!

Wow, all this talk about cruising must be contagious. We're thisclose to booking 4 nights on the Dream sailing on Oct 30.
:boat:

Barry I still think all the Dads should go with me and Shari on the Fantasy June 2012!:cool1:

I made the decision and got a Windows smartphone. They were buy 1 get 1 free. It is really frickin cool! I can't type as fast, but it can travel. Still have to sync up some things.

So, my neighbor called around lunch time today asking if I wanted to go for a run. Sure, great idea today; temps around 50, a little overcast, perfect for a run, except for the few splotches of mushy snow/ice that we would have to navigate. So, off we went around 3. Now, I'm miserable; my allergies are killing me. This is the first time in months that I've been yucky with allergies, and of all times in the middle of winter after a big snow. So, I figure that I'll make up for it in the morning by getting up at 5:30 and heading off to my second ever spin class at the Y. Then, it will be tearing down and putting up the remainder of the Christmas stuff. We're also 1 day closer to our trip, which we worked on a little today as well. Trying to figure out a way to make 22 days go a little quicker.............

Hope that everyone has had a great day

A plow came down the road today (if thats what it would be called:scared1:) It was the one of the biggest front end loaders I've ever seen:eek: I have no idea where they got it from but it was not the town's. They did the roads (ours didn't come out that great since all the guys on block tried getting out for days packed the snow into solid ice (still will be a adventure getting down the street tomorrow) Across the street we do have a new mountian that will probably still be there in June:lmao:

We will be on the June 3rd sailing. Maybe I can get that altered, after all we have a year and a half to go. :)

I think the main factor for the lack of plows in the area is that for like 15yrs we had mild winters, over the years they kept downsizing the number of staff and trucks, in the 80's all this snow was common, and had the trucks and manpower to remove it quickly (we had 1 day off from school tops), now the cycle has returned and everyone is understaffed and don't have the truck power to do the job, Welcome to today's age, everyone is Tech savvy but lack physical labor skills :scared1: Some day it will even out:confused3

Holy Beverly:scared1: Another factor on why everything is still a mess, just because they are driving a front end loader or tow truck doesn't mean they REALLY know HOW to USE IT:rolleyes1 Got to get the kids out of the trucks that make the least pay and get the OLD SCHOOL guys that know how to handle these machines. Don't get CHEAP it doesn't pay in the long run:confused3

I am still trying to figure out why there wasn't chains on that thing? I love how the tow truck just keeps pulling the payloader into the truck. Just when you think they are going to stop there is another pull. :lmao:
