And please remember… As you start playing with all those new toys today, if someone hollers out that universal phrase of impending doom: “Hay y’all, Watch this!”; Try to stop ‘em (or at least get them to set the beer down first).

Absolutely dumping the snow here in western NC. Loving me some Christmas day snow. The one day that everyone thinks about having snow and we've got it, or at least we do where I live. If I'm remembering correctly, I think this is the 4th time (in 44 years) that I've seen snow on December 25th. Hope that everyone is having a great day with families and friends.

Merry Christmas, dads! :santa: Presents all opened and now getting ready to eat some Christmas lunch. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your day is filled with joy & appreciation for the gifts we've been given (& not just the presents!)

I gotta ask, Who saw the parade:confused3, I thought it was put together nicely, a few of the musicial acts I would have done without (Idol,Glee,Little Girl that sounds like she's 46):confused3

A Merry Christmas to all on here. I know I'm late, got a little caught up in things. I need to get in here more often.

We settled in and watched the festivities. I’m pretty much in the same boat as you. The parades on both coasts were well done and loaded with some of the less common characters, but as for the “musical guests”… Meh. Basically they were commercials for Disney properties that they’d like to see more profits from.

We got a rather rare present for the holidays this year. Snow. Now I am very aware that the bulk of y’all see solid precipitation ad nauseum, but in South Carolina it’s rare and in December its practically the stuff of myths and legends. The last snow on Christmas day occurred in these parts in the early 1960s so we were rather excited to see sites like this:

Oh… By the way, that is a Mickey Mouse Snowman in the middle of our door wreath (here’s a little bit better view of him).
Happy Holidays!!!

I caught the live show at MK on 12/3- on accident. I knew they were doing the parade taping that day, but I guess it slipped my mind when I decided we needed to hit MK that day. What a traffic jam on Main Street. They had to re-route us and hundreds (thousands?) of other guests outside of the park and allowed us to re-enter in Tomorrowland to avoid all of the congestion.

I had envisioned my kids' first glimpse of the castle being a little more magical than that. Instead we were greeted by a director on a bullhorn: "OK, THAT WAS GREAT BUT LET'S TAKE IT FROM THE CHORUS. OK CAMERA READY- DANCERS READY- CUE MUSIC- CHEER EVERYBODY, CHEER- AAANNNDDDD ACTION!" Oh well. I passed it off as a rare opportunity to see the back side of a bunch of Disney buildings. Most guests never get to see those dumpsters.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Sitting in my apartment watching the snow fall and thinking how nice it is to no longer have to shovel snow and thinking about my next trip and trying to figure out if I can do a "quicky" trip earlier.

Cheers everyone
