I have fallen arches in both feet and plantar fasciitis. I generally find that a pair of Addidas sandals with the gel top is quite comfortable for walking through the parks. As mentioned before they are also ideal for water rides as the dry incredibly quick and do not produce that SQUISHEE SQUISHEE SQUISHEE sound while walking past the group of incredibly hot Swedish Bikini Team-esque college students you're pretending not to notice because DW is right next to you..... watching..... hand pre-positioned and ready to slap the back of your head. (It happens quite a bit)

I also second the nomination for ASICS. Very comfy, long lasting and great arch support.

Which brings up another very important park accessory - dark sunglasses.:cool2:

The correct response is "Did you see what she was wearing? What was she thinking?" :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Don’t leave home without ‘em.

You know… As often as this gets said around here (and with just cause), I wonder if this should become an official DDC Motto (or hold some similar position of esteem). I’m just sayin’...

The correct response is "Did you see what she was wearing? What was she thinking?" :goodvibes

Sunglasses are with me wherever I go and usually riding shotgun on top of the dome when inside or when it's dark. :cool2:

The pictures in my minds eye may not be suitable for younger audiences.... :3dglasses

I've tried that tactic before...... It never turns out well. :rolleyes1

Speaking of Christmas.... DW just bought another tree for the house which brings us up to FIVE Christmas trees inside the house. There's the formal tree in the living room, the one that color coordinates with the Master Bedroom, The Pink Princess Tree in DD7's room, the Sports themed tree in DS4's room and brand new for this year The DISNEY Tree in the Man Cave. :santa:

Well, with all this Christmas talk around here, I went and bought some LED lights to hang outside during lunch. I'm not sure if this is just a local thing or not, but might be worth checking on if you're interested. Lowes had strings of color LED lights, 100 lights/25 ft for $11.47 and it was buy 2 get 1 free throught 11/15. They were cheaper than Wally-world...

Howdy, fellow dads.

I am one of the newest members and look forward to plenty of fun banter with all of you.

A little about me:
I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I am a long-time Texas Rangers fan (we actually made it to the World Series this year! I was so stoked!) I am a Dallas Cowboy fan also, so I hope you have a little sympathy for me.

I grew up an Air Force brat, then joined the Air Force myself when I was 'of age'. I did that for 6 years, then got a decent paying job when I got out. Now I am a server administrator in the IT field.

I am the proud parent of a great 10 year old son who loves the standard boy stuff: video games, TV, baseball, and guitars. My princess is 3 going on 30 and is spoiled rotten, thanks to daddy. She is all about Disney Princesses and the color pink - definitely not a TomBoy-type. :lmao:

We all got hooked on Disney a few years ago and now try to visit The World at least once a year. Our next trip is at the end of January - yes, we are taking the kids out of school for a week. Also, we are going on our first ever cruise in June - and it will be aboard the new Disney Dream.

I am the Designated Disney Trip Planner in our family. I have to always either be planning a trip to WDW, or be ON a trip to WDW. Otherwise, I am a lost soul.

Now my Rangers need to sign Cliff Lee this off-season and Jerry Jones needs to fire the GM of the Cowboys and I will be happy. :yay:

Welcome! As an honorary Texan (me), I salute you!

Unless you're a Raiders fan... or an Aggie, or a TCU fan... :lmao:

In OTHER news!!! This last 70 minutes of work is KILLING ME! BAH!

Psst... PAGE 19 OWNAGE! I'm just racking them up today!

Welcome to the club! As far as the Rangers go, as a Reds fan let me say thanks for Edinson Volquez and I hope you're enjoying Josh Hamilton.:thumbsup2

As far as your football team goes... well, in the words of Jimmy Johnson, "How 'bout them Cowboys?":rolleyes1

53 minutes to go... not that I'm counting.

My wife is an Aggie. I like all Texas-based colleges but I root for the Longhorns when they play the Aggies on Thansgiving. Makes for a fun day in my house. :lmao:

That was a good trade for both sides. Volquez looked really great that year, as did Hamilton. With the numbers Josh put up this year (MVP) vs Volquez, I am thinking the Rangers made out a little better in that deal.

Peanut Butter!

If Jerry Jones could ever step down from the GM spot to hire a real Head Coach/GM, they could be a great team. But I have NEVER liked Jerry Jones - starting with the way he handled the Landry firing when he first bought the team. He thinks he knows football, but he doesn't - and that is what is hindering the 'Boys from becoming a great team.

I was born and raised in Denver but I never got into Colorado college teams. Lots of friends in Austin so we were adopted into the Longhorn family. \m/

Of course, we don't talk about the 'Horns much lately. This is the worst season in Mack Brown's history at Texas.

He's welcome to hire AJ Smith and Norv Turner...Lord know us Charger fans would love to see both go. :thumbsup2

Howdy and welcome…
I believe that you’ll fit in well around here. Emma’s Dad will be along in a while to make it official and hand out that coveted DDC number.

Guitars are a major weakness of mine as well. What kind of picking is your DS into?

BTW: We’re also booked on the Dream in this coming June. :sail:
Which week are you folks scheduled to be aboard?
