@freezinrafiki (or anyone, really) Is there some vacation spot known as the Wisconson Dells? My sister-in-law mentioned her friends from college vacationed there, and said it's a good "beach vacation"? :confused3
Yes, "The Dells" (as the locals call it) does exist. They have a ton of stuff. Lots of water parks (Noah's Ark calls itself "America's Largest Waterpark"), go cart tracks, mini golf, shows, amusement parks, and other typical touristy stuff. Huge hotels, many with their own indoor water parks that are open all winter. Scenery wise, it's awesome. There are a lot of tours that take you out along the Wisconsin River and the natural cliffs and bluffs along it. I think the Travel Channel even did a special on Wisconsin Dells last summer. It really is a great place - just ask anyone from Illinois. All summer, that's all you see - Illinois license plates up and down the streets!:rotfl2:

Just got a call from our Navy son........
He passed his Review Board and he will receive his Blue Angels crest at a ceremony tomorrow afternoon!!! He is now officially a Blue Angel!!!:cool1::woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

That calls for a picture!

Of course, it'd be even cooler if we could get a picture of him with his crest. :thumbsup2

Congrations!

Yesterday was national Peanut Butter day. :stir:

Thanks! Good to know that us KY boys are in good Disney company!

As for KY basketball, there is a collection of UL fans who live in Louisville. Most all the rest of the state and many in Louisville cheer for UK. Now, UK still has a ways to go in football. But, since UK plays in the SEC, the BEST football conference in the USA, that is a difficult task. I still cheer for all our KY teams - UL, WKU, EKU, etc. - except for when they play each other.

Have you seen the new UK limited T-shirts? They say, "I still hate Laetner".

MiJo: Congrats to your son and the parents that raised him. Great Job! :dancer::dancer:party:party::dancer::dancer:

"The Dells": We are from Illinois, and as Barry mentioned, this means we've been there a couple of times. It's cheesy (and not just the Green Bay kind) but a lot of fun for the kids (both young and old).

DisneyDadC: Carl, sorry to pin that title on you, it was the first C name that came to mind for some reason. :confused3

I haven't seen those shirts, but I need one! THat games still haunts me to this day.

Most of the state is BLUE. Football will hoepfully turn the corner and at least become more competitive. They taken a coupld of babysteps, but still have a ways to go.

AWESOME!!!! Congrats to him and the proud parents!!!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Thanks, Guys! We don't usually hear our son very excited, but he was last night! If anyone gets to an air show this year, he will be a crew chief for the #1 jet. He doesn't have his schedule yet so we don't know which shows will be his.

If you can look past the insane driving, they're OK. The unofficial Wisconsin Tourism slogan: "Illinios: Come, spend your money, get out." :rotfl2:

Barry I found a great shirt for you to wear on Superbowl Sunday. I can't post the pics so click at your own risk. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That must be a hard job. Working on an upside down plane day in and day out. :rotfl:

Congratulations to him and the proud father! I'd be pretty excited to get to work around those planes too.

Not sure what is more scary... the fact that people from Illinois flock to Wisconsin for vacation, or the fact that Wisconsin's economy depends on cheese and tourists from Illinois.:rotfl2:

MiJo's son - Day 1: Tighten cup holders to keep soda cans from hitting canopy...

...and beer. Our economy is also heavily dependent on beer. :drinking1

Wisconsin: Illinois' playground.

Since we have a lot of new dads I thought I'd take a minute to plug the Caption Contest Thread. It is hosted by our very own trennr with assistance by FreezinRafiki and GoHerd1028

This may come as a shocker but one of the unwritten rules of membership seems to be being a bit of a smartass:scared1: so put it to good use. The contest is open to all DisBoard members but we have strong DisDad participation and it would be great to get some new contributors.

That being said, I'm pretty sure Barry has it locked up this week:rotfl2::worship::lmao:

Snowing AGAIN:scared1: they said 1-3inches here this time (we already have that, and it only started 5hrs ago) Waiting to see if they will have a early out in school (funny if it might snow, they call it quick, but when it is actually snowing they take their time:confused3)

It looks like Tim is going to get about a foot this time (it's coming Tim, I turned on the fans and it's heading your way:lmao:)
