ahh Halloween pranks.

I remember the days of tossing TP thru the air with just enough tail to catch a branch of a tree and fall in the splended glory of streamer. :rolleyes1

Apparently these day TP is too expensive...and Plastic Wrap it the new TP. :confused3

DS15 was feeling sick and did not work in the Corn Maze...about 10:30 he calls the farm and says someone was messing outside the house...so I leave to go check it out.

They wrapped our front porch...and between two small trees...also wrapped between two fence posts at our driveway blocking it. this was all good with me as I know how much fun pranks like this were when I was a teen.

However I did not appreciate the Maple Syrup they coated my front storm-door with...and the also coated our Mailbox and left the container inside.

Apparently syrup is cheaper than eggs these day...though I never egged anyones property...TP and Plastic are OK...but sticky messy foods is just mean.

Ah yes, the good old classic Halloween pranks. There are some things you'll never outgrow. There may be a toilet on a roof somewhere this morning that wasn't there 24 hours ago... :rolleyes1

Not to sound like the resident tree-hugger, but it is too bad they moved to saran wrap from TP, as the latter at least takes care of itself over time, rather than be something that isn't exactly planet-friendly.

Though of course it is the best thing to put on a toilet. Classic fraternity prank!

....and what about not so scary ting during Halloween is it really worth the money rember 8 kids:scared:...thank you for your help.....birdslight year

For us, MNSSHP was an event that I'm glad we got to attend once but not sure that I would do it again. The special Fireworks, Parade, and dance parties were a lot of fun, but since this is supposed to be a limited attendance party, we expected lighter crowds than during the day. I think that the park was more crowded. I've definitely got to tip my hat to the fireworks engineers. They really know how to put on a show!

DD's school handed out certificates for free Personal Pan Pizzas at Pizza Hut to all of the kids that met a certain reading goal, so we went today for lunch. The waitress was just about to the table with a refill on DW soda, when it slipped out of her hand and landed all over DW. Soaked her pants, shirt, and everything on the table. She offered a half-hearted apology and and got us a stack of napkins.
Now, I know it's not Disney World, but don't you think at least the manager would come over and say something? Nope.
When a situation like this comes up, I'm certainly not looking for a free meal or anything, but I think its just good customer service to at least walk over and apologize. So while I'm paying - and disputing the fact that they charged me $2 more for my pizza than what the menu said - I ask the guy if he can at least take off the cost of the soda that was spilled all over my wife. "Oh, yeah, I guess I can do that."
Guess who's never going back to Pizza Hut again.:headache:

 The last time that I picked up pizza from Pizza Hut, the crust had the consistency and taste of freezer burn. Not sure if it was a one time thing or not, but it has us turned off for now.

Customer service just seems to be slacking at a lot of places anymore. I have sent several complaints to different places lately. I'm starting to wonder if its just me. Every year I get a little closer to Grumpy Old Man status.

I have to agree that the syrup crosses the line. Much easier to get rid of the plastic wrap.

I need Barry to photoshop a picture of IASW with a nuclear mushroom cloud in the background....:lmao::lmao:

Anyway, our town (in their infinite wisdom) decided to hold Trick or Treating on Saturday (which competed with the Georgia Florida Football Game) right down the road...

Still had a bunch of kids (we do a whole set up--pics to follow) and had a good bit of fun!

DS is just beginning to figure it out, and got a lot of attention in his Imagination Movers costume. (he's Rich, but Dad confiscated the drum sticks:lmao:)

Anyway, life has been crazy in my house, and I have a mini TR (no time, really, for a complete thread) to do----

Chili...I still have the pic to post...:thumbsup2

ha ha, that reminds me of when we moved into our new house, a year ago. Some of the neighborhood kids rang the bell and ran, the day we moved in. Joke was on them as the yard was just graded and seeded...and it had rained earlier in the day....I saw the foot prints where whoever it was sank at least a foot into the mud whilst running to the empty lot next door to hide. :rotfl2:

Fast forward to the last weekend. I'm out back talking to my wife thru the back screen door (no deck...yet) when we hear the front door bell ring. I walk around the side of the house and see a kid crouching there....in my loudest voice I growl "Hey!!!" Never saw a kid jump so Beverly high in my life! :woohoo:

We did it last Nov. I think it has changed since then, when we went it was fairly new, everything was a package deal, now from what I read you get a package for makeup and everything else is ala-cart.

We got the best package offered it was $125 included makeup, outfit (head to toe), sword, hat, wig, pics, rings & bling, pirate name with keepsake, plus they did a parade for everyone who had it done that day. It was really cool, but check into it since now that it took off alittle I think it is alot more $$.

Check and see if they still do The Pirate Firework Cruise (This was cool:woohoo:) You have a pre cruise party at the Contemp, Cpt. Hook and Mr Smeed are there for pics (snacks and refreashments are searved) Then you get on a boat to go see the fireworks with a pirate as your host (does all kind of entertainment and trivia, gives out prizes etc) you see the fireworks on the lagoon, when you get back to dock, Peter Pan is there with Tink in lantern, then you can take pics with Peter Pan ( does not have lantern for pics)

IMO depending on what she wanted to get done at Pirates League, it might be a better value to do the firework cruise, that everyone would enjoy (depending on how many in party):confused3. I think it was like $59 per person.

Sweet! Thank you for this great information. I'll talk it over with her.

Howdy all and I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween festivities.

Let me start this little missive off by tossing a medium size CRUD out there. I’m only just now getting a chance to even check in and see what all’s been goin’ on ‘round here. October is a seriously busy month in our house and the last two weeks have been completely dominated by our son’s school activities. Mid-terms showed up (and both “could have” and “bloody should have” been better), the final ball game of the year ended up as a gut wrenching loss to the cross town rivals (a missed PAT in the last 20 seconds - Aaaarrrrrrrggggggg!); and a whole lot of band rehearsals leading up to their appearance at the state finals (which I’ll talk more about later on this evening, so consider this your warning). We were so exhausted by the time we hit the racks early (very early) Sunday morning that we weren’t even worth shooting the next day. With the passing of All Hollows Eve combined with the end of the football and marching seasons, things slow down suddenly and mightily around here. Honestly, all three of us are going through some pretty serious withdrawal symptoms down this way. If we didn’t have our up coming December trip to the WDW to focus on I do believe I’d be blue beyond all reason. All that being said, at least now I’ll be able to keep up with what’s going on here and that’s going to help my mood a gracious plenty. I think I’ll go back a dozen pages or so and see if I can’t get reacclimated, then I’ll check back in. I’m glad this thread exists and very glad to be a part of it. :goodvibes

(Page 242 Ownage; Bonus!!)

:thumbsup2 the big thing back in 1985 when we went was we got our park tickets before we got there.:woohoo: there was no internet. you could make a dining reservation for epcot at the end of spaceship earth were the photos pop up now. ...back then you could eat anywere in world showcase without a resi when ever you wanted. it wasnt busy at all.

I've heard about some of those and for the most part, I am happy with progress. The only thing I am disappointed in is making dining reservations 6 months ahead of time. I really enjoy the planning part and having vacations to look forward to; however, credit card holds and even pre-paying for some of them seems a bit ridiculous.

We do MNSSHP in the 1st or 2nd week of October and it is definitely worth it. We never had a wait for any of the rides. I think Peter Pan ride was a 5 minute wait. We have done it now for 2 years in a row, and next Fall Break, I would even skip MK during the day for MNSSHP tickets. As for the customer service, I think it was on par with previous trips. We encountered more rude customers this go around.

We used to go to the dumpsters at the banks and get the bags of shredded paper, You could spread this fast in someones yard. I just couldn't see doing anything that caused permanent damage.

That was like my hometown. My sister got a speeding ticket 90 miles away and My mom knew before DS was home. And this was long before cell phones.
