CRUD.
There, I said it. I'll say it again...CRUD. I believe I'm allowed to as an official member of the DDC (#535...said so right in the posting!). I'm not sure I'll be able to contribute anything worthwhile to any of the conversations, except to maybe contribute to any sorta lack of conversation! :lmao:

By skimming over the posts, one thing I'm certain I'm allowed to do here is vent...
<VENT ON> Being a new parent of a 2 week old disney princess princess: is the best thing in the world! That said...it sucks....I'm referring to the lack of sleep and the current constant state of zone out I feel as a result of said lack of sleep. There, out of the way. Need never be mentioned again outside of the DDC, LOL!</VENT OFF> However, I (we) am (are) slowly getting used to it as it's going to be a constant thing for the next, oh, 18 years or so!

BTW, I can contribute...regarding cleaning steel pennies, I found this article:
http://www.ehow.com/how_4844269_clean-steel-pennies.html
Something else to try?

Don't worry...there's a year or 2 in there when you might get some sleep...then she will start wanting to Date. :scared1:

Has anyone done this? How long does it take? If I call, what am I getting myself into?

Thanks in advance if anyone knows. :goodvibes
I've never done a phone presentation, but there is one thing I can tell you about DVC - I've never felt pressured to do anything. I sat through a presentation from another timeshare place. Talk about over the top. You've got to buy today! As soon as you leave, this offer expires! Now! Now! Now! DVC was nothing like that.

ii have enough for about 12 hours of viewing if i get bored.:lmao: forgot, also have the christmass dvc and vhs. :lmao: (i know, im not well!!)
Nah, you seem fine to me. :confused3

Yup, as a member in good standing with the club you are entitled to any and all catch phrases and running bits ("crud", "peanut butter", Don's lack of trip reports, etc, etc)
Oh, and don't worry about not being "able to contribute anything worthwhile to any of the conversations". None of us do either. :rotfl:

I remember the days of the 2 week old. And the nights. Boy, I saw a lot of nights. Its amazing, after a few weeks of practice, you'll be able to heat up a bottle, change a diaper, feed her and put her back to bed, all without technically waking yourself up. :thumbsup2

We have sat through a timeshare presentation in FL... Those $#%^$%%. AWWWWWW forget it- you know what happened.

I guess I should just give them a call. For $25 and the luxury of just hanging up if I don't want to hear anymore doesn't seem like a bad deal. :goodvibes

If you dont like it and they ask for a call back number, give them Barry's! :rotfl:

That wouldn't be a problem... I still have his number in my phone. Or was it his wife's? :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

With my new phone, he is lucky I haven't called him by accident on a daily basis! :rotfl2:

Going to try something totally different this trip. My DS likes to collect the press pennies, so I'm going to make a book that will always get a 2nd look. I'm going to use 1943 steel pennies, now if I can figure out how to bring them to new looking condition again:confused3, I shoud have a DeLorian edition of pressed pennies:goodvibes:cool1:

Anyone one have any idea's on cleaning them, want to use a liquid since they are small and detailed. Thinking vineger might work:confused3

We have a copper sink in our kitchen so my wife is always asking if I can clean it. There are lots of good choices at Ace hardware or Home Depot etc. I've noticed though that when my sons dump their dirty dishes in the sink the blobs of Ketchup always leave a nice shiny spot. worth a try.

I guess before I posted I should have asked if I could join the club. I posted here a couple of years ago before our last trip in 2009. I'm back now planning a trip for 2011. Anyone mind if hang around?

i dont know why i didnt think of this before. as most know, i can barely turn the computer on much less anything else. this up coming trip to okw, there are 3 laptops going and from what i can remember, theres are only two jacks in a two bedroom. is there a "splitter" type of thing like a phone jack that i can plug into one jack and be able to plug in two lap tops? (stop laughing, i have no idea.):lmao: ive been looking around but who plugs there computer into the wall anymore?:confused3 okw doesnt have wifi and i couldnt hook up a router if you gave me 3 million dollars to do it. any ideas????

sorry to ask but I just can't help myself. I'm having trouble picturing three of you on laptops all at the same time. Can't you just take turns?

Yeah, I've got to think that just taking turns on the internet access would be the easiest way to go. I guess they could all be on the computer at the same time saving pics and doing other things, but just take turns on internet.

I'm pretty sure you can't just use a splitter like a phone jack, but I'll leave technical terms, explanations, etc to somebody who knows what they're actually talking about.
