Speaking of weather, I pulled a long-range forecast for Orlando off of the Farmer's Almanac website today. I'm now so pleased with the long-term look at the end of our trip. It confirms my decision to wait to purchase tickets for the 10/8
MNSSHP until we get there and have a more reliable forecast on which to base the decision.
September/October 2010:

OCTOBER 2010: temperature 74° (1° below avg.); precipitation 9" (5" above avg.);
Oct 1-5: Sunny, warm; Oct 6-10: Heavy t-storms, then sunny, seasonable; Oct 11-15: Scattered t-storms, seasonable; Oct 16-22: Sunny, cool; Oct 23-27: Heavy rain, then sunny, seasonable; Oct 28-31: Scattered showers, seasonable.
