Plan on ten days of relaxing, sitting down and enjoying a few family sit down dinners. We are doing the food plan. Trying a few different places that we have never ate at. Plus hitting a few stand byes like the Crystal Palace. We have visited WDW a lot as a family. Real Disney Nuts here.

Sounds like you have a plan, My DW & DS are going Sat with my inlaws, I hope it cools down a little for them. July & August can be brutal there:scared1: Next time I'll be there is Dec. already planning 2011 trip for a possible Halloween day into Nov trip again:woohoo: (that was a blast)

We were down last October and did the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. Was a blast. We are going down again this year beginning of October and will do the party again. Have to say you will enjoy WDW around Christmas time. I have been there at that time a few times in the past. Beautiful and wonderful to see. They make it snow on main street. Check out the Osmond Family light event at Hollywood Studios. Millions of lights all over the city buildings and Christmas music galore. Its a must see at Christmas time.

That should have been Osborne family lights rather than Osmond lol

Sounds like our trips may overlap - we'll by at WDW October 2nd - 9th - planning on doing MNSSHP on the 8th (at least some of us).

In other news, I took a bunch of pictures during the 4th of July pool party/cookout today. I think this is my favorite shot - Squeaker jumping into the pool:

Get picture :) Looks like he was have a blast. Not sure yet what day we will do the MNSSHP yet. the DW does the planning lol. We might overlap indeed and maybe walk past each other while there lol. My wife is planning on running the marathon. As for me why run when you can get there faster in a car. :rotfl:

I have to learn how to use all the tools here. Will be a hit and miss time for a little while. Looking forward to getting my member number from Emma's Dad.

Unbelievable, that's the exact dates of our trip too!!! However, we're planning on MNNSHP on the 3rd.

There's a small chance that we'll shift our plans and to the MNSSHP on the 3rd instead. We're really struggling with how to handle Squeaker at WDW, given that it's now pretty clear that he hates just about all rides and won't go near characters. I'm leaning toward not taking him to MNSSHP, so either DW or I would stay with him and find something special to do with him while the other takes The Bug to the party. The downside of doing the party on the 3rd is that it is currently scheduled to be our first day at the Magic Kingdom. I'm not sure that nighttime during the party is the best first exposure to the MK for the kids.

Yeah, the MNSSHP is great. We did it the first time last year and are going again this year. As for the number, relax, we are on dad's time here. Just don't ask how that Trip Report (TR) is going.

Great action shot. I bought DW a Nikon digital camera last year for her birthday, but it is nowhere near able to capture action shots like this. What camera do you have? I like the Nikon and have considered buying another, but I am cheap (except for anything Disney oriented). I found a 1000 gallon pool (10' by 2.5') for $40.00 at Toys R Us and bought that. It was an upgrade over the kiddie pool we had in the back yard.

welcome to the club!!:thumbsup2

THANK YOU Dvczerfs :) Much appreciated. I was amazed at your totals 48 trips to WDW and three more planned. I like that. DW has been talking to me about DVC for sometime. I think we need to make that move as well.

Thank you for the welcome. Much appreciated. Okay....I have to remember... We are on Dad's time.... Repeat to myself... WE are on Dad's Time...WE are on Dad's time...lol :)

It's a Nikon D50 dSLR with a Tamron 70-300mm lens.
I bought the camera and lens (along with the original kit lens and another Tamron lens) for $500 from a friend who was upgrading to a pro level Canon rig.

Hello All... I am brand spanking new to DISboards. Just joined a few moments ago. Wanted to start things off right by joining the Dad's Club.

Let me join in here and toss out a big ol’ Howdy and welcome to our little hollow. Glad to have you along on the journey.:thumbsup2

That… is one fine photograph. Looks like y’all were having a mighty fine Fourth.

We had a very similar problem with our boy for a while. Anything loud, bumpy or otherwise disorienting was something he just didn’t want any part of (and characters were a big problem as well). Funny thing was, he just loved to roughhouse with me and being turned upside down and/or hauled around on my shoulders like a “sack-o-tatters” would generally elicit more giggles then you could normally pump out of your Laughing Palace. :confused3 When I pointed this out to the boy (about thirty times or so, mind you ), he reluctantly agreed to try out some very tame “riding-devices”. We actually have a small but decent little amusement park almost literally in our backyard, (“Carowinds” specifically) so we were able to give the boy a number of opportunities to get accustomed to the various contraptions. Over time he got to be the ranking daredevil of the house and now we can’t keep him off of even the most stomach churning rides we encounter. As for dealing with the MNSSHP, that one’s hard to council you on as every youngin’ reacts differently. If your son is really into Disney animation (and I assume that it true), he may recognize the characters as folks he trusts and will at least tolerate their presence (if not outright going up to and huggin’ on ‘em). Seeing His sister’s reaction might help as well, but again, you can’t predict these things. I just wanted to throw out our experience on the same issue. I wish you lots of luck on this either way.

Only 7 days until our next disney trip can't wait. Got to go see Captain Hook on a fireworks cruise, should be pretty cool.(Captain hooks my hero)pirate: Also this is the first time I've done any of these forums, I'm new to your little community.
