Anyone else catch themselves noticing the thread title "Women's comfy low-cut . . ." and then feel a sense of disappointment when it finishes "socks." :confused3

This has been an interesting week. Thought that I was going to get my TR started last Monday, but after getting on here last Sunday morning, I haven't sniffed this site since until now. Unbelievably busy week with unknown games and extra practices (soccer, baseball, and dance) and the kids at school in some sort of post spring break funk that has caused their behavior to really stink. Did have an accomplishment this weekend, though. Did my first triathlon yesterday. It was a bigger rush than the 2 marathons that I did a few years back. Finished alive, which was the goal, and a little bit ahead of the time that I had set as my goal time. It was only a sprint (250 Y swim, 9 miles bike, 5K run), but it was tons of fun. May look at an Olympic distance job later this year or next spring just to check out the longer distances. I'll never do an Ironman (I have a life and a job...), but I can't tell you how much fun this was. Those of you interested in a new challenge may want to look into this. Yeah you have to train, but these distances aren't enough to take you away from the family for hours at a time, which is why it really appealed to me.

Wow! Congrats on finishing the triathlon. I think that's an achievement at any distance! Not sure if I could have the discipline to train for that, but I admire those who do.

Looking forward to the trip report!

It looks like Disney is stealing our thunder. http://disneydads.go.com/

Congrats on the new addition!!!!

Funny story...Yesterday my oldest son had something that the 3 year old wanted. The oldest says to him "I'll give it to you if you say the magic word". In true Disney fashion the 3 yo says "Misca musca Mickey Mouse". Ya gotta love what comes out of kids mouths.
thats good!!:thumbsup2

Shamefully, yeah. Maybe that's another Man Law rule?

We are up to $850.00 for GKTW! Great job guys! We have 11 days left in the Dis Dad's 1st Annual April Fund Raiser For Give Kids The World. We are asking for $5.00 donations but any amount is welcome!!! Thanks Guys!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

My thoughts exactly, can we sue for a lifetime of trips?:thumbsup2

Or we could just demand royalties on the use of Dis Dads. :thumbsup2 I think that Dis Dads is a million dollar phrase, what do you all think? $1M everytime they use it into the Dis Dad's common fund?

A round of golf, a game of darts and 10 frames of bowling. Triathlon! No training needed.

Before everyone goes on the deep end about this, I'm looking at it a different way. This could be our Gateway into the system. If we befreind the Disney Dads who work for Disney and know higher ups. For PR sake they might actually want to help us out to make things happen:confused3

So before getting hastey we should give them a chance, after all they are Dad's too, if they wanted to join our club we would let them, maybe some of them already are:confused3

I'm thinking if we introduce ourselfs to them in a positive way, maybe with the GTKTW fundraiser, I'm sure they would be happy that a bunch of regular guys are doing this that maybe they could match it with the help of Disney:confused3

I think maybe with a little teamwork maybe we could become a affiliate and have inside connections and recognition:confused3:woohoo:

This is what I love about the Dis Dads. There is always a voice of reason willing to stand up and tell us there is another way to game the system. :rotfl2:

"Reason." It's a good thing to have in a group. Especially a group so dynamic and, um, "passionate" as the DISdads...:rotfl:

WTH!!??
I go to the Disney World site to make a big payment on our October trip, and when I submit the payment, instead of getting a confirmation number, I get a message that my session has expired.
I tried twice, because the first time I had to head upstairs to grab my credit card partway though, so the session ending was a real possibility. But the second time, there was no delay.

Of course, now I'm paranoid that the payment DID get submitted twice, despite no confirmation. That, of course, would trigger an over-the-limit fee on my credit card.

Argh!

How can a company whose entire business is consumer sales have such a crappy payment processing system?

I think that Disney has the worst website I've ever seen.. (well close to it anyways) Are you an AP holder? The AP site is the worst. UGH.

Hopefully it didn't go through and you can just call in the payment tomorrow. :surfweb:

I totally agree with you. I've seen high school kids put together better stuff! It just doesn't make any sense :confused3
