Tailspin! Now there's a blast from the past. Have you rechristened you car the "Sea Duck" for the trip?:thumbsup2

Have fun in Paradise Falls!

I could put Higher for Hire on the back window but it might be misunderstood.
When I found the box set online there were hundreds of reviews that said it is one of the few cartoons from that era that are still as fun to watch now as they were then, I am really looking forward to this drive!

Thanks for all the great compliments on the Family, I am quite proud of our little group!:thumbsup2

The link to the planning thread is in my siggy. You know, if you want to check it out!:thumbsup2

I have been there and begun to formulate a plan.

Hey when did you come to my house and borrow my watch? Now if I can just get one of those shirts shipped to Japan.

Unfortunately these shirts are very hard to get, its kind of like winning the lottery.:lmao:

I just realized that today is my 1 year anniversary of joining the DIS. And I'm up to 989 posts. Which means I have 16 1/2 hours to say 11 things so I can reach that magical 1000th post.

Happy anniversary! I am sure you will have no trouble hitting 1,000.:lmao:

Sure,

I was very busy one early afternoon (running radar while reading Bassmaster Magazine:lmao::lmao:).....when a minivan (yes I said it....) blew by me running somewhere north of 80 in my 65 zone..

So, naturally, I zipped out and pulled the offending vehicle over to the right:lmao: When I got up to him, I realized he had "Disney or Bust" type slogans in those window paints pretty much all over the van....

I walked up to the vehicle which was occupied by the driver, his wife and a 3 or 4 year old girl in a child seat directly behind them.....I got up to the window (which he had opened) introduced myself, and before the poor guy could say anything, out of the corner of my eye I see the little girl pointing her finger with one hand on her waist---and then out it comes...

"Daddy, Mommy told you like 5 times to slow down, and you didn't listen, and now you're in trouble and he's going to give you a TICKET, and you deserve it...." and she really was cutting into him as only a little girl can do to her dad (Thank God I only have a boy:lmao:)...she was going on and on, the whole time shaking that finger at him.

I mean, I never got another word out of my mouth, I couldn't help but just stand there and listen to this poor guy get a lecture from his 4 year old. The dude's wife wouldn't even LOOK at me...she had her head down with her hand over her mouth desperately trying not to laugh, and he had the most helpless look on his face.....

Finally, I couldn't take anymore and just busted out laughing, at which time the wife lost it too---the driver was white as a sheet:lmao::lmao: Then the little girl turned on me "It's not funny you know, he could hurt somebody"...which caused me to lose it again....

So I took a look at his license and handed back, told him...."I think you've been punished enough already"...he managed a meek "Thank you sir" while his wife went into convulsions and the little girl finally gave up the ghost....

I'm willing to bet that poor guy went 5 under the rest of the trip:lmao::lmao:

Man, I laughed for about two hours.....:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Much better than the NYPD guy who just showed me his badge and then pulled off without even saying a word---that encounter had a MUCH different ending....
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Happy anniversary, I was guessing you were married in 2000 because yesterday was one of my partners 10th anniversary and we were giving him a hard time about being married on tax day. Unfortunately for him he is now divorced so not only is it tax day it is also a reminder of alimony day. :lmao::lmao:

But anyways, it's about an hour before I become scarce at the office and the trip begins, loaded the van before I left this morning and have a fresh stack of videos for the boy to watch and me to listen to (I'm introducing the boy to the first season of Tailspin!!!!!!), so in the words of my hero Carl Fredricksen......

So Long Boys!

Have a great time!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hey guys. :wave2:

This has been a heck of a day already.

First, I can't find my glasses and am almost late getting the Bug to school and me to work. (Still haven't found them).

Get into work, and DisneyFed makes me spit coffee all over my keyboard.

I may have to leave the office early and work from home this afternoon - being at my desk without my glasses drives me batty. :maleficen
(I always thought that Maleficent icon looked a lot like a bat).

Well how do you like that? One day after taxes are due we get the shocking revelation that a government employee doesn't put in a solid 8 hour work day!

Mark - can you believe this? Please tell me (on your lunch break, of course) that I can still have faith in State employees to keep the nose to the grindstone until 5:00pm.

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Ah yes, but it's always 5:00 somewhere!:cool1:

Nate, Where did you end up staying in DC ?

A Days Inn just a "tad" closer than your suggestion...probably get on the Metro at Pentagon City and Ride in from there...as the less time my DW has to spend on the Metro...the better for me...and everyone around. :lmao:

She's really uncomfortable about the whole trip...being she hasn't EVER been to DC...and I haven't been since I was maybe 10...or less...and the person who has most knowledge about the place is a 15 Year-Old who doesn't talk much...and when he does...mumbles allot. :confused3 :lmao:

She would much rather go to the 1] Beach or 2] Disney. (that's her order of preference...not mine.)

Thank you for your help. :thumbsup2

You can come to Iraq with me in a month and see how it fits your definition of work:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

And don't get me started Barry...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nate...you'll be fine, I take it your staying in Crystal City...not familiar with that hotel, but most of that area is fine!!
Have Fun, it's really a nice place to..................visit....................:headache::rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Please note, I am posting this at 12:30 p.m. EST. Naturally, we dedicated State employees are working hard and looking to deliver the best and most efficient service for the taxpayer's dollars, even on Fridays! :thumbsup2

Actually, the rest of my group is out golfing today, since it's sunny and in the high 70's. They invited me, but I passed on it because I just got the credit card bill for my vacation.

Ah yes, but it's always 5:00 somewhere!:cool1:

DW mentioned to me last night that they were starting to talk a little smack about us - about how they must be busier and don't have as much time to spend on the DIS.

:confused3 Oh well, back to ignoring work and seeing what's going on over at the boards. :rotfl2:

Man I need to catch up on tr's.This baseball six nights a week is running me ragged. The good news is my wife is starting to feel much better and is allowed to drive this week so that will cut my work load in half:thumbsup2
Ron let me know when youare hitting SP !
Do any other Dads from the tri state area or any where else for that matter go to Sesame Place? Ron has season passes and I live 5 minutes from it so if any Dads are in the area let me know
