It's the left lane hawks that get me...DO NOT CRUISE IN THE LEFT HAND LANE...especially if you're going 10 mph UNDER the speed limit:mad::mad::mad: And even more so if you're "matching" the speed of the other vehicles to your right and blocking the entire interstate....

Tar Guards (and fomer Tar Guards like me;)) are usually less than amused than some of the stuff that occurs on the highways...

dont have to worry about me blockin traffic in the left lane.:lmao: sorry officer, the big blue and red sign said 95 south on it.so i fiqure that means go 95 and i am heading south.:lmao:

Speaking of roadways, who else pays tolls, I know from MD. every state inbetween to CT. & PA has them. When driving down to WDW after the one in Baltimore was a free ride down to Orlando, (might have changed it's been awhile since we drove all the way down):confused3
St. L to Disneyworld I drive interstate to interstate to interstate to interstate to the Florida Turnpike... Toll Roads? What are those?

Oh don't even get me started on the misinterpretation rate........I'm willing to bet it's well over 75%

This made me laugh. :thumbsup2

Gooooood Morning Dads....:surfweb:

Headed out to join up with my convoy....

Goodbye Kuait, hello Iraq....popcorn::

I'll check in as soon as I get settled (which I'm hoping is sometime tonight!)

GO ROVERS! Yep, EAHS, Class of '68!QUOTE]

Did you go to school with the "Easton Assassin"?
Larry is a coupla years older than me and he only made it through the 8th grade or so. I did play LL Baseball against him, though. He was a tough kid but not a bad kid. We spent many hours at his training facility here in Easton watching him train for fights. We also saw some other fighters down there: Arguello, Duran, Pryor, etc. Larry still lives in Easton and has a restaurant downtown.

We can't help it you people can't drive in an interstate construction zone...

Guess How many wrecks I worked in Construction zone that were caused by vehicles North of say......Virginia...:confused3

:lmao::lmao::lmao:
Construction zones! In PA, kids take their driver's ed training in construction zones! That's all we have here!:rotfl: And, we probably have more potholes than any bombed out road in the Middle East, and it's getting worse!

Just wanted to add a comment on the cheeseballs. My personal favorite were the Planter's, but sadly they were discontinued. What brand does everybody else buy?
Sam's Club carries 35oz tubs of Utz. That's a lot of cheese balls!

Only tolls we hit are in Illinois and Florida. IL does it right - the toll plazas are about 12 lanes wide, with 5 or 6 being Open Road Tolling. You can blow past the sensors at 70 if you want and it will still read your electronic windshield do-hicky.
Between my in-law's place in Lakeland and WDW, we go through 3 toll booths. One is on the entrance ramp to 570, so it's not a big deal. The next one has dedicated lanes for electronic tolling, but you have to slow down to 25 for it to work. The last one really ticks me off. They only ever have one lane open, so even if you have their SunPass, you're sittin' in line behind 4 people digging around their ash tray for coins!:mad:

They put some in my hometown in Mount Pleasant---unfortunately, they neglected to tell the Fire Department they "were online" when they were finished. Buddy of mine's brother in law is a fireman and was driving Code 3 enroute to an emergency call when he realized the circles were open and he wasn't gonna' make it....:eek::eek: He just drove right on over the thing:lmao:

On the way back, they found out they made it too sharp to get the trucks through.....I'm thinking it was loong day for them:rotfl:
They did the same thing up here. But in a roundabout 3 block from a fire station and made it too sharp for the big ladder truck to get around. They had to go back and smooth out the curbs and take down what was left of the shrubbery so the firefighters could cut over the middle without too much damage to the truck.

Safe travels, Fed.

Oh yeah, and the running joke is that Wisconsin has two seasons - winter and road construction.

Hey Barry...I want an invite to DD's wedding so I can visit that Cake Buffet.

I may have jumped a bit ahead of myself on the planning, considering she's only 5. But I'll probably have an open invitation for any member of the DDC. :thumbsup2

Hmmm...a Bucket-o-Cake, huh? That's got some possibility as well...:scratchin

Last trip down we got stuck between two semi's side by side, doing 55, for at least 20 miles in SC. The only plus was once we got past all the people doing 85 to make up time flushed out all the troopers for the rest of us:cool1:

You've got plenty of time, but while you're planning; work on talking her out of the chocolate fountain and go for a Dole Whip machine instead.

This was starting to sound like Man V. Food: Racine. For some reason, your DW didn't seem to appreciate me encouraging you. :confused3

Bucket-o-Dole Whip!!!

I usually don't cry at weddings...but...sniff sniff.

I've been called a lot of things in my life, sir. But classy is not one of them. :confused3

There's room in my heart for both. Well, there's room in my stomach, anyway.

There is this place about 10 blocks from my house called Chubby's. (Not to be confused with the Cubby's over by Wisconsin Dells. I'll let your imagination fill in what their establishment is all about) Anyway, this restaurant serves their burgers in two sizes - junior size and Chubby size. The Junior size is about 8" diameter, Chubby size is close to 12". And you get a full plate of fries to go with it.
A friend of my went there, ordered a salad and mentioned that even that was greasy. mmmmm....

For some reason, your DW didn't seem to appreciate me encouraging you. :confused3
Evidently, I come up with enough of these "crazy" ideas on my own and I don't need anyone adding fuel to the fire.
I say bring on the fuel!:thumbsup2

I think everyone realized if they actually worked this morning they could say they had nothing let to do and leave. Of course all my people are hourly so I'm stuck here.

I was all set and on my way to working a completely normal day.

Then, there was a fire alarm in our building at about 11:00 a.m. I decided that, whether it was a drill or an actual fire, it was a sign. I logged out of my computer before heading to my "door monitor" post. As soon as we were all out of the building and I'd checked in which our emergency response person, I let them know I was leaving.

Nice job, Aaron. I'm still here. It's like a ghost town. So I'm being very, very productive. :rolleyes1

Ok, I'm here...

Will have nice digs once I'm in my permanent room....only in "temp" housing at the moment:lmao::lmao:

But I have the internetz.....you guys have a safe Holiday Weekend..
