Emma's Dad & AJRitz - I have a non-working hard drive that I have kept for 8 years. I think a bearing went out in it. It has pictures on it that I desperately would like to have back. :headache: I keep it in hopes that one day, I'll have enough money to send it someone to have the pictures recovered. If you've never looked into it, the prices are un-godly. So yes, AJRitz be glad it wasn't a physical failure. Glad to hear you got some of your stuff back, at least.

Kind of like Ted Williams being cryogenicly frozen, just in case they find a cure for whatever killed him? :rotfl2:

I don't McKnow why women McLove that McShow.:lmao:

When the McWife start watching, I take a McNap on the McCouch.

Nope, you're not a veteran until we all get to paddle you at least once!

"Thank you sir! May I have another?" :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao: Remember the paddles with the holes in them?? Wowzzers!

My DW is asleep right now, and I'm cruising DIS on the netbook, and it's used primarily for DIS and Facebook. It was supposed to be for her teaching, but piracy isn't limited to TR's I guess!pirate:

Very nice example of TRUE pirating pirate: :rotfl2:

My wife has had a notebook for a while now, actually bought it before our 2008 trip to take with us... I am a big gamer and have a nice desktop, but I like DIS'ing while I am laying in bed... My wife bought me a new laptop a few weeks ago so we can dual DIS together... She is huge into reading TR's and i like cruising the photography section... It works out great for both of us to have one...

Ahhh... so romantic... dual DIS'ing... :lovestruc Really... I'm jealous!

I had to jump back in without catching up. Sorry, I don't have the time to catch up on the past 200 pages. Wow! This has to be some kind of record. :confused3

I'm all for a Dad's sub forum. That would be awesome!

Yeah... you pretty much need to send a mortgage payment (or two) to the people who are going to recover that data. And even then they can't guarantee the data will be recovered.

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Park hours for October just came out.

I planned our entire trip around a Tuesday Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

But according to the new park hours, the Tuesday MNSSHP won't start until the week after our trip. And, of course, now the TGM historical crowds information for our entire trip is off. So now I'm less than two weeks away from my ADR date, and almost all of the planning that I've done so far needs to be redone. Blargh.

This has NOT been my week.

Ouch! Here's to hoping that you will have even better plans this time around! :drinking1

Is it just me... or do we need to come up with a Dave translator?? :lmao::lmao: Sometimes I feel I'm reading Greek! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I've been droping hints to my wife, that I would like a notebook, now my B-day is next week, will she take the bait:confused3 Only problem with the plan is I always get mad if she spends a lot on me, I'd rather see her spend the money on our son, put it towards a Dis trip or pay a bill. So with that I won't be disappointed if I don't get one.

I was saving up for a laptop this year until our main computer went on its kamikaze run. Bye bye laptop... :sad1:

Hey Jeff, where have you been for 200 pages? You're not doing work or something, are you? :lmao:

When the McWife start watching, I take a McNap on the McCouch.

Suddenly, I have a craving for a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. (Royale w/ cheese for our buddy Lawson).

:lmao::lmao: Remember the paddles with the holes in them?? Wowzzers!

That takes me back to my Catholic school days. I wonder if kids still get paddled? If not I wonder who was the last student to be paddled, and is there some Vatican museum with a plaque or recreation of the last paddling?

I guess since I am officially #444, I should introduce myself to the club.

My Name is Phillip (Phil) and I am 36. DW37 and DS2. My first trip to Disneyland was when I was 3 months old, living in Phoenix meant frequent trips over the years. When I was 12 my family moved to Atlanta and the Disney trips all but disappeared. My grandparents went to D-Land for their honeymoon they year it opened in '55 so in '05 the whole family (20+) went back to celebrate their 50th. This opened the flood gates for myself and my DW. Since '07 we have been WDW at least once a year, often twice, and have become DVC members and owners at BLT.

I am happy to found a place where other men can come together and chat.

Take a deep breath and start again, this just gives you some justification of why you are on the Dis so much.:thumbsup2

I love my couch and my couch loves me.

Okay, thankfully the keyboard I just spit coffee all over is not mine!

Glad to have you with us! How fun that you got to go to DL as a kid. Growing up in So. Cal, naturally I'm a bit biased towards the west coast original, but am equally thrilled going to the east coast mega resort. And what a great way to celebrate your grandparents 50th! I like!! :thumbsup2

Settle in, read back a few pages if you want, or just pic a topic and dive right in. We're a pretty laid back, zany, chatty bunch - don't mind the teasing and taunting that's bound to come your way and have fun. :)

I'm sure there's a priceless painting called "The Last Paddling" hanging right next to Da Vinci's "The Last Supper".

Welcome to the Club,

A man with an older lady, good job. ;)

(figured I'd get the ball rolling)

That is way cool that you spent their 50th in DL... Do they have any pictures of DL in 1955 you might be able to scan and upload for us to see... i would love to see it back then...

I am jealous of the DVC thing... I want to own so bad, but I just can't do it quite yet... I plan to start buying into it in about 2 years though... BLT is amazing!

i would love to do DVC but i really dont think it pays when you come from the uk.the cost of my points added to the flights and every thing else that goes with it means i would still be out of pocket till around 2033.and with the free DDP that we get every time we book its just no good....a shame though

I'm sure there's a priceless painting called "The Last Paddling" hanging right next to Da Vinci's "The Last Supper".

Dan Brown will have a novel out about it soon. Probably something about the paddle actually being made from wood from Noah's ark that has a secret passage written on it that will end all of humanity if it ever recited aloud. Tom Hanks to the rescue!

no no no no no no no no no..........thats france.......we call it what it is in the uk. bring on the quarter pounders.

I say caved in but that's only for show. It only took my wife to say, what about Disney soon? Already booked the flight! See everyone June 4!
