I've been droping hints to my wife, that I would like a notebook, now my B-day is next week, will she take the bait:confused3 Only problem with the plan is I always get mad if she spends a lot on me, I'd rather see her spend the money on our son, put it towards a Dis trip or pay a bill. So with that I won't be disappointed if I don't get one.

They sure are nice. We put the kids to bed and typically retire to the couch for the night. As soon as DW starts watching some girly touchy feely show, out comes that laptop and I read the DIS!

:rotfl::rotfl: For me it's whenever DW jumps on Facebook to play games! Of course that doesn't explain the time I spend on here during the day... :rotfl:

I have also been hinting about a notebook! But the DW keeps reminding me about the 60 inch TV I bought and said I deserved!popcorn::

That's my problem too:lmao: When i go to the Dis board, she gets alittle attitude, if I wasn't on the PC she would be on facebook playing Farmville, some fish tank game or Mobwars, I can't win even though in the long run being on the Dad's or the Board benifits her when it comes down to a trip to WDW, go figure:confused3

My DW is asleep right now, and I'm cruising DIS on the netbook, and it's used primarily for DIS and Facebook. It was supposed to be for her teaching, but piracy isn't limited to TR's I guess!pirate:

My wife has had a notebook for a while now, actually bought it before our 2008 trip to take with us... I am a big gamer and have a nice desktop, but I like DIS'ing while I am laying in bed... My wife bought me a new laptop a few weeks ago so we can dual DIS together... She is huge into reading TR's and i like cruising the photography section... It works out great for both of us to have one...

It's a great idea! But... I posed this question to the moderators of this board twice in the last year and my requests went unanswered. :confused3

MAC... meet PC... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Glad you were able to start the low-level recovery process. It's always a crap-shoot when it comes to drive failures. Thank your stars it wasn't a complete physical failure! :yay:

I had to jump back in without catching up. Sorry, I don't have the time to catch up on the past 200 pages. Wow! This has to be some kind of record. :confused3

I'm all for a Dad's sub forum. That would be awesome!

Emma's Dad & AJRitz - I have a non-working hard drive that I have kept for 8 years. I think a bearing went out in it. It has pictures on it that I desperately would like to have back. :headache: I keep it in hopes that one day, I'll have enough money to send it someone to have the pictures recovered. If you've never looked into it, the prices are un-godly. So yes, AJRitz be glad it wasn't a physical failure. Glad to hear you got some of your stuff back, at least.

Arent we a chatty bunch....:lmao:

We may have to request a sub forum somewhere if we keep growing in numbers and posts. I mean it is getting a little cramped in this small 1 bedroom basement apartment, don't you think?:rotfl:

Yea, I keep tripping over people on my way to the restroom! :crazy2:

A sub forum would be nice!

I thought DIS Mom's was everywhere but here?:confused3
I needed a good laugh today. Thanks, tutter! :rotfl2:

I would like to Join the Disney Dad's Club...

party::welcome:

I'm 2 from the bottom now! I've got tenure!

Woohoo... i am no longer the newest member... Does that make me a veteran?

I thought the same thing after you got your number! :woohoo:

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Park hours for October just came out.

I planned our entire trip around a Tuesday Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

But according to the new park hours, the Tuesday MNSSHP won't start until the week after our trip. And, of course, now the TGM historical crowds information for our entire trip is off. So now I'm less than two weeks away from my ADR date, and almost all of the planning that I've done so far needs to be redone. Blargh.

This has NOT been my week.

I'm sure if my son gets this assignment, he'd like to meet him!

I don't think so, even if he does get the assignment. He's not a pilot; he's an Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class (E-5). If he gets it, he'll be part of the flight support crew. I hope he gets a flight, though!

at least on fat albert on a jato!!! would he go to air shows mike?

Went last night and got my Soft serve machine out from the cabinets.Put the bowl in the freezer to get it ready. Was going to order me up a bag of the Dole whip and try it out but got real busy and was unable to order it today.I will try to get my order in tomorrow.I am curious to see how this will work out. From what I read on the web site all you do is add water.I want to see how the machine does freezing it:confused3So I figure it should be a few days to get the mix then I will be good to go.I will take pics and show the outcome for all Dads thinking of buying.

ill be down!!!:lmao: im going to lancaster this weekend, dd has a dance comp. they are leaving tonight, ill go down sunday morning. ill me ktme area. what town are you in dadc? my oldest brother lived in royersford but has since moved to nc.

I came across that last night and clicked on it - espionage. They seemed to be running on empty.

Not sure if you are going to get this bunch to agree on a logo. I think we tried in DDII but without much success. Perhaps someone should just select or create one, without any copyright issues, and go with that. I think the shirt/ hat that reads Dis Dads Club would be great, regardless of the logo. I'll defer to the senior dad leadership on this.
Maybe we should use one of these guys as our logo: :dancer:! We would certainly all recognize him! :lmao:

I would like to Join the Disney Dad's Club...
Welcome!

Let me and Dave know when it's ready and we'll be down! What town are you in again? :thumbsup2

He doesn't have all the details yet but he thinks the crews alternate for the shows. The Blue Angels will be at Andrews AFB in May. We went down there a couple years ago to see the show. Our son has security duty that weekend and will probably be "guarding" one of the show hangars or on roving patrol. I don't think we're going down again this year but you just never know. It will really be great for him if he gets this assignment.
