Kind of looking like a big Wierd Al fan here:lmao:

So ok - yeah, maybe so, I'll admit that... so in honor of Wierd Al and as a throwback to 55 pages or so ago with our bus discussion and resulting Man Law - here's a little classic Al for you...

Ridin' in a bus down the boulevard,
And the place was pretty packed.
Couldn't find a seat, so I had to stand,
With the perverts in the back.
It was smellin' like a locker room.
There was junk all over the floor.
We're already packed in like sardines,
But we're stoppin' to pick up more.
Look out!

Another one rides the bus-ah.
Another one rides the bus-ah.
And another comes on,
And another comes on.
Another one rides the bus-ah.
Hey!
He's gonna sit by you.
Another one rides the bus.

Another one rides the bus.
Another one rides the bus--ow!
Another one rides the bus--hey, hey!
Another one rides the bus--hey-y-y-y!

The window doesn't open, and the fan is broke,
And my face is turnin' blue.
I haven't been in a crowd like this
Since I went to see The Who.
Well, I should'a got off a couple miles ago,
But I couldn't get to the door.
There isn't any room for me to breathe.
Now we're gonna pick up more, yeah!

Another one rides the bus-ah.
Another one rides the bus-ah.
And another comes on,
And another comes on.
Another one rides the bus-ah.
Hey!
He's gonna sit by you.
Another one rides the bus.

I work downtown Chicago, but home is right next to Schaumburg so if anyone is staying overnight in the Schaumburg area, let me know and we can meet up. Or if your free during the day downtown Chicago maybe we can meet for lunch, etc.

:thumbsup2 I'm gonna have to start remembering where everybody is at when I'm on the road so I know who I can buy a beer for!

That could start a vicious cycle, you buy a round, I buy a round, next thing you know... BAM... We're at Barry's house.

No calls to the Poly Concierges today - I spent the day deposing a guy who was the on-site supervisor on a worksite when and where his brother was killed in a workplace accident, then I got to drive four hours home (but at least I got home in time to watch my Jayhawks opening round NCAA tournament game).

I'm going to enjoy dipping my toe in the Magic tomorrow, checking in with the Concierge folks and maybe even getting a PTR posted.

(but at least I got home in time to watch my Jayhawks opening round NCAA tournament game).
Go Mizzou! *(not that they'll win it all, but the Tigers will win in the Mizzou/Clemson game! :rotfl:)

As far as dipping toes into magic, I changed my ressie tonight.:woohoo: We removed water park fun & more for our december trip in favor of Delux Dining. I'm looking forward to a trip as a "foodie". We also wanted to do the Poly dinner show, a character breakfast (thinking Chef Mickey), and some sort of Grand Gathering special safari dinner a CM talked to me about, all which are 2TS meals. Delux dining seemed more economical with that many special meals. :confused3

then I got to drive four hours home (but at least I got home in time to watch my Jayhawks opening round NCAA tournament game).

Lehigh U is in Bethlehem, PA, about 10 miles from here. Nice to see they put up a good fight!

ok guys I have been busy as heck lately and it s only going to get busier for me with baseball coming up.(five kids playng all over the place).I have been trying to catch up and reading TR's.I want to thank all you guys cause I have learned one major lesson. That would be --when doing a Tr have all info reading to go at once!! copy an post as fast as you can,get all info in.Do not advertise your Tr until your are at least halfway done(but be ready to go with the other half). This will hopefully keep all of the readers happy and not leave the door open to long for HIJ####.Oh I can even say the work it scares me.

Cool! We ate at Roaring Fork a couple of times in November, and I never even looked up and noticed the ceiling fans. :confused3

I assume you've already covered Al Gore, Mummies, Skeletons, and Vampires...amongst the other undead...if you are working on Zombies.

Chainsaws and Holy Water works pretty good too. :thumbsup2

:lmao: I always thought it was head-shots.

Ah, it's not that big of a deal. I think you get a grace period between updates. It's only when the time between updates starts to stretch on that the natives get restless...:stir: Well, maybe except for Barry's TR. We kind of jumped the gun there, but he's a good sport. :thumbsup2

Anyway, the constant posting does keep your TR on the first page, driving more traffic to it. So think of it as a benefit! ;)

Hey dads, been a long time since I've checked in, trying hard to stay grounded in reality between trips. That's not going to well, the more reality I experience the more Disney fantasy I want. In the interim, we bought into HGVC (chose this over DVC because we didn't want our destinations to be limited to Orlando, even though 90% of our trips will be there anyway, and we figure we can trade into DVC as needed, besides, we got a killer deal). We have two Orlando trips planned for this year so far, bringing the total to 3 (did a weekend in January, stayed @ Parc Soleil and had free passes for Universal). Spending 4 days in mid-May with family coming in from NY @ HGVC SeaWorld, doing Magic Kingdom & SeaWorld this time, then again in December (week between xmas & new years), haven't planned which parks we're doing then, but MK is always a must, and SeaWorld is offering a Florida Residents 'Fun Pass', which is only a dollar more than a daily pass and covers admission until 12/31/10, so we'll probably end up there again.

Well my ETSU Bucs did better against Kentucky than I thought they would.

They had a 10-9 lead for about a second...and scored 71 points.

So what if Kentucky had 100 points. :confused3

Go (insert underdog team name here)!!!! :lmao:

:confused3 I don't know Don, there were a few things I wouldn't have minded picking up while were there but one thing led to another and I never did. But honestly, I'm thinking you probably just need to throw in the towel at this point and start focusing on getting ready for the next go around...

THROW IN THE TOWEL?? :scared1::scared1::scared1: A DIS Dad would never do that! I'm going down fighting... even if "The End" is the day before we leave for our next trip :lmao::lmao:

Well it couldn't have been Don - he has been all tied up with his report...

I thought Don was still trying to finish writing the Handbook. :surfweb:

We need to put together a map of some sort for the v 4.0. We can just add that to Don's to do list :rotfl2:

Ummm... let's see... the handbook WAS over here on the desk next to this bottle of SoCo... Hey! Who got orange cheesy fingers all over it?!? Great... gonna have to start over now... :surfweb:

has anyone seen chuck lately?????:confused3 i hope he didnt get hurt staging another stunt!

CHUCK! CHUCK! CHUCK!! Where are youuuuuuuu????

I wanted to share this little beauty that I got while we were in ROARING FORK over at the Wilderness Lodge last week. Not sure how many of you have ever stayed there, but the RF is the counter service location at the WL. We had gone in to check out the menu options for dinner one night, and I saw these. For those of you who've been around awhile, you will just know that I had to snap a picture simply because I am BIG on details, and can regale you with all kinds of tidbits of out there anal Disney trivia. But honestly these were just plain AWESOME. There were 3 of them. I definitely thought of several of my DDC friends when I saw them!

Wow... that's pretty cool! Looks like something a tinker would have made.

Hmmmm... what possible advice could I have for writing a TR :hourglass :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Life is certainly going to get busy as spring/summer rolls along. Hope to see you once in a while!

Oscar! Welcome back, buddy! Reality isn't all what it's cracked up to be, so I can understand the need to slip away. Haven't checked into HGVC before... can you point me to a resource to check it out?

Here are a few more pics from our recent stay at the Wilderness Lodge. If you haven't made it over there yet, or stayed there, it's definitely worth a visit at the very least. It is an absolutely beautiful resort.

This is the bubbling brook that begins in the lobby, and then heads outside, down a stream, cascading over a waterfall, and then appears to continue on into the feature pool, and then out into Bay Lake. Pretty neat stuff.

We were in 3506,

so this was our view - the covered walkway leading from the main lodge to the DVC villas building, and out to the bus stop area

And here's a reverse view up to our room

Thanks for clarifying that part about my grace period exemption. I was about to let Carl know that you can expect a "grace period" of about 37 seconds. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
And since I just posted another update, I would expect that thread to be re-hijacked in 3...2....

And a few more from Wilderness Lodge

I absolutely love the overlook - it's just like real overlooks out west in the mountains and national parks - especially Yosemite (my DW's favorite destination)

Like the other resorts found on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon, there is a white sandy beach that you can enjoy...you just can't go in the water

Here are just a few more from the Wilderness Lodge (I keep finding more I want to share :rotfl: )

We were in a studio villa, which for our non-DVC friends out there, includes a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator, sink, toaster & coffee maker) - and has both a queen size bed and double sleeper sofa. The lodge has recently upgraded all of their tvs to the nice new flat panel LG 32 or 37" models.

Here are a couple of glimpes of the room

2010-0310-28.jpg

We both really liked this light fixture over the table & chairs
2010-0310-26.jpg

And the carving in the headboard was nice too
2010-0310-21.jpg

Because it was our anniversary we indulged in a little sweet something from the bakery
2010-0312-11.jpg

The poolslide was closed for repairs while we were there (behind tarps). Off to the right, and beyond where the slide is, is the "deep end" which has an edge of rocks with water tumbling down from underneath a bridge flowing into the pool. The bridge separates the waterfall/pond area and the pool.
