ok, when i was a kid we would go to the nazareth pool. its a shame, if there 30 people there anymore your lucky. today, eveyone has a pool in there back yard. i remember going to bushkill park but never willow park. heck dorney park was free to get in, but you needed tickets for everything. hershey park was just about wdw, choc. world ride is like wdw rides.![]()
I've never been to the Nazareth pool. We went to Willow Park, Heil Park Pool and sometimes to the Bushkill Park pool. The last time I went to Dorney was when our DD was about 3 or 4 (she's 33 now). There was an incident on the merry-go-round and I swore I would never return, and I haven't! It didn't even involve us directly but I can really hold a grudge!I've never been to Hershey Park except for the chocolate factory and the gardens. I'm hoping to finally make it to Knoebel's with the grandkids but haven't ever been there yet, either. We have been to Dutch Wonderland (where we met Chief Halftown!), Wild West City in NJ, Land of Make Believe (NJ), the Turtle Back Zoo (NJ, don't know if it exists anymore), Great Adventure and King's Dominion in VA (all trips with the kids when they were young). My DW and I went to Bush Gardens Williamsburg once and it was closed! The off season had just started and it wasn't open weekdays.
Oh nice! When I was a kid, an aunt and uncle took my brother and I to a place called Freedomland, which I think was somewhere in NY. I also made it to the 1964 World's Fair with them and remember the Carousel of Progress and an attraction by Monsanto, I think, where you ended up being under a microscope. The Wonders of Flight might have also been there but I'm not sure. I made my first Disney trip to Disneyland while I was stationed in San Diego in '72.
marvali...what part of upstate SC?
I was a police officer up there.
.............after the bus thread, does that make me the official MAN LAW enforcer as well?
we have taken dd when she was small to dutch and we had a camper near knoebels so we spent some time there. thats a nice park. i wasnt born yet to go to the worlds fair.![]()
No, you have to work to get incarcerated AFTER you get elected. Try to put yourself in charge of collecting DIS Dad club dues or something. That should help.![]()
THIS JUST IN FROM YOUR ROVING INTERNATIONAL REPORTER LAWSONSONTOUR...... as of yet i have nothing of any importance to report....i will keep you informed of any developments as they arise....

It's the little things like reporting on nothing to report that probably makes you over qualified for the postion of International Reporter but that being said "Keep up the great work"
.
hey i got a question for the NJ guys......is it true your not allowed to pump your own petrol and if it is do you have any idea why?
We are also one of the only states that you can not buy beer & wine in a supermarket or a 7/11 etc. You have to buy it at a bar or licquor store![]()
The greatest invention - the drive through liquor store. In KY, you can purchase beer & wine at grocery and other stores. We even still a few people making their own moonshine. It's not quite like you see on the Dukes of Hazzard, but it makes for a better story.
WHEW!!! I read through the list at the beginning of this thread, and I fit quite a few, but not as many as some of you!!
I am addicted to the DCL, and although we will be in WDW for the first time this MAy with our DS and DD I have already planned our next DCL trip!! AND... last year on our DCL we bought into the DVC, I want my kids to grow up with LOTS of Disney Magic Memories!!!
So if you would please, count me in!!! My wife thinks I'm CRAZY being on the Dis so much, but she sees all the great things I've found!! So while she sits with her laptop in the other room doing her scrappbooking STUFF, I'm in here learning and sharing the Magic!!!
Thanks MEN!!!!
PS. Can ANYONE help me find a place to fulfill #35 on the list?? Besides making my own!!!!
You didn't go there did you? What you trying to start another rioti don't think you should look at it as a issue.this is a site on which people discuss things. now sometimes this can be things like what's the best use of unwanted fanny packs or the best way to eat a mickey ears ice cream. sometimes we can get to discuss grownup things and as long as people don't get nasty or rude then anyones input shouldn't really be knocked.
just don't talk about giving your seat up on a bus thats all![]()
Welcome to the club Don will be around shortly to issue you your DDC number![]()
