What is Ice Wine, is it like a wine cooler?

Not like a wine cooler. More like a somewhat lighter, crisper, but still very sweet port. It's usually a dessert wine. Good ones are VERY, VERY tasty (and seems expensive for the size of the bottle, but you drink it in small doses).

I just became a member of this forum and saw this thread and just had to get in on the action! I checked the criteria for becoming a member of the Dis Dad's Club III and didn't even have to read past #1 to know that I found a group that I belong to!

Just a little about me...I am from Bradenton Florida and have a beautiful wife and a great son. We go to Disney every chance we get and this year purchased the waterpark pass. We camp at Fort Wilderness at least once per year and then the other times we come we stay at various resorts. Our next trip is planned for April. We will be going to the water parks (if it warms up by then) and to WDW. I look forward to contributing to this site and making the Dis Dad's Club proud! Now all I need is a Dis Dad's t-shirt

Welcome! We did have a shirt manufacturer but it temporarily shut down before anyone could order one. It's supposed to open again but we don't know when. Someone else was looking into another shirt place.

In Mid-Nov I came up with a plan to pay for the trip, and have no dents in the wallet. This is what I came up with.

I call it 12,000 Quarters = 3 Grand should be enough to cover it.
No quarters are to be spent,must be thrown into the bucket, if something comes to say $2.10, I'll give them $3 to get the quarters (even if I had the change on me)

I end up throwing in few bucks worth almost everyday.
Sounds crazy but they add up fast.

I sorta do the same thing except I use our quarters for the newspaper box on the way to work each morning. I save all of the other coins instead.

I watched it. That was getting very painfull. The 500 falls around my dads birthday so we end up spending the day watching the race and celebrating his birthday. A house full of screaming boys (8 altogether between me and my siblings) and red flags to fix potholes made for a looooooong day. The ending was awesome so it was worth it in the end. That and 5 of the 10 10 were Chevy's.

Icewine is something that is created using frozen grapes that have frozen naturally on the vine. They have to be at a certain temperature to be hand picked. Each grape produces about one drop of Icewine. It is very labour intensive and that is why it is so expensive. I have had Icewine a few times and it is very sweet, it would not be something you would drink by the large glass, at least not for my taste. We use it more as a dessert drink, something you have in a small glass.

I watched the last 3 Restarts. When I turned it on ...they were getting ready to go...so I didn't know about the hole in the track...I figured either the gas pedals got stuck or the brakes failed on those Toyota cars and caused allot of wrecks.

I contacted Dave's nephew at work today and he doesn't seem to know of anything that could be wrong with him. They live in the same town so, in a way, I guess that's good news! Maybe he is just having PC problems. I noticed his last post was about a week ago on an OKW thread. If anyone hears from him, let us all know!

I'll wave out of the plane window. I couldn't do the drive... 20 hours with my DW and DD.... I'll fly thx! It is probably close to being a wash flying. Maybe cost little more because we need a rental car when we fly.

We start the drive in 30 days, but it will be 31 by the time we get to southern Georgia. Of course we'll be coming down 75, so when I get almost to the FL state line, I'll stick my arm out the window and give you wave as I'm duckin' the Georgia State Patrol!

If you're referring to the age old "press vs hang" debate...I prefer to hang. While one can't argue with the shock value of pressed full moon, you can't beat the wind whipping by at 70 mph while your derrière (or since I'm from Wisconsin, your "dairy air") is displayed in it's full three dimensional glory. I'll just have to make sure DW is driving at the time. Maybe I'll unbuckle the kids and use it as a family bonding experience!
