Ok Guys I need a little help here.I have a decision to make here.
Looking at trip in Dec 2010.Would like to go Nov 24 through Dec 4th, this would allow us the most time with taking the kids out of school the least. The problem is I know it gets mobbed Thanksgiving and that weekend. So if its that crowded would the kids enjoy it? ( is it worse then Aug crowds). We have been there before the same time frame but stayed away from the parks until the Monday following Thanksgiving, but this time we would like to do the parks as soon as we get there.
The other option is to go Dec 3 through Dec 11th this would involve taking kids out of school one more day ( Kids are good students in elementary school one in jr high(she is straight A) ).Would it really hurt to take them out that one extra day?.
With both options I have to take them out of school which I dont really like to do ,but have change my thinking to allow it.
Option one gives me a little more time there but does not put me there with the rest of the Dis Dads.
I think both options have a chance of being there when the parade taping is going on.( which with the 5 kids I am not sure the crowd will go over to well with them)
I think I am leaning to the 3rd - 11th
oh what to do??![]()
We went the weekend after Thanksgiving a few years ago. It was busy, but not unbearable (not nearly as bad as what I hear week between Christmas and New Years is). I judge crowd levels by the Florida resident seasonal pass blackout dates: dates that are blacked out are extremely busy. Thanksgiving weekend is not blacked out. Just my two cents - if the extra day out of school isn't a big deal, it would probably be more enjoyable going in Dec...

Hope you like the place... I tried to keep the old look/feel but add a little dimension to it
it was good!! we have been married for 25 years, we dont fight about anything anymore, life is to short, we just have fun. she had to go into new york city for the day for work so she text me about dinner. so we met at the rest. our conversation was how we both were tired and wanted to take a shower and go to bed. in our house, who ever gets out of the shower last has to wipe the walls down. so, that led to the race home.

Can not wait to meet this one. So far I have two that are huge Disney fans, and I am looking forward to introducing the new one to Disney. Tonight we finished the babys room and the 3 yo found a goofy stuffed animal in the crib. He got pretty upset that we were wasting Goofy on him. His response "Thats my Goofy, not Gabes Goofy"! The baby isn't even here yet and the fighting is starting. Good times!
