Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if an entire country would stand and cheer at the same time. I don't need to wonder anymore.

What a game!!!!

Not to sound like a sore loser, but at least we do not make our police wear funny pants and hats.

What a great game. As the clock ticked down in the 3rd, I kept saying, I believe, I believe. Then wham, it is tied. Really thought the US would pull it out in overtime but alas it was not to be. Felt bad for Miller because he was great the whole tournament. Luongo was a Florida Panther and they regret letting him getting away but he was not nearly as good as Miller was. The US was simply out skated pretty much the entire game.

Today I downloaded a live Be Our Guest podcast which was during the first US/Canada game. There were a few references of it during the broadcast. Near the end, they announced that the US won. A Canadian listener called in and he sounded so depressed and commented the next day at work no one would be talking to each other. Sure he was part of the collective scream after the gold medal game.

Congrats to our friends up north on the win and the staging of a great Olympics.

Hey nate what do you do for Siemens? I am looking at there site now and may have a use for some of theirs products.

We Design some of the PLC's (Programable Logic Controllers) products.

I particularly work on the Analog I/O Devices....test them out make sure they will meet the Spec. and pass all the UL and CE test...and figure out how to fix them when they don't.

Found some interesting news regarding the parks and the upcoming Tron movie. Seems they may do a promotion by turning one of the monorails into a "TRON-o-rail". Perhaps by converting it to look like one of the light cycles from the movie?

2nd item listed in this article

Sounds like it could be pretty cool.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vmfc8aVW-U how many remember this one? no tickets, its free!!!!! :lmao: for you guys that didnt have the pleasure of riding, this is now the buzz light year ride in the mk. i remember riding this in the 70s. wow, great memories!! this and mission to mars. mission to mars was the coolest thing to a 9 year old kid in the early 70s.:lmao:

I knew she would cave if I just gave it enough time :rotfl2:

Nothing set yet, but most of us are getting there around the 5th, so if Steve stays for about 7 more days or so, he's bound to hit it! :thumbsup2

I think I would be pushing my luck to stay longer :cool1:

Congrats you are going the week I was looking to go originally.
See you shold have gone with your first instinct!

Cool! :thumbsup2

Now you can plan this trip during your cruise! :rotfl2:

Shari accuses me of having a trip in the works someplace before we take one...I actually now have three trips in the works counting this one 4 if you count the cruise!

Some idea's  for the dad's leaving this week for WDW

- since 3 0r 4 Dad's will be there, if you can plan a morning to do The Barnstormer post #154 Dis Dads Dec Trip thread. You guys might be the only ones that get to do this (don't know when they are starting the refurb, would be nice if some of the Dad's were able to get in on it)

- ask Bus,Boat & Monorail CM's if they have any Tranportation Cards, not all CM,s have them, so don't give up. Found the best Monorail location to find them was at Epcot at night, Bus drivers are hit and miss.

- when you go to the Tiki Room ask a CM if your child can wake Jose. When we were there I asked and my son did get to start the show:goodvibes

- try to get the pressdimes in tommorowland arcade, since it just came out, not too many have one.

- try to stay left, most people are right handed and tend to vere to the right:confused3

- most of all have a great time:thumbsup2

I hope something I posted is usefull on your trip:woohoo:

Hey Ron...good tip with the left line instead of the right one...we always do that and you would be surprised how many people actually do go right just as a habit.

We wont be going to a park this time ...we are staying at all star sports the night before the cruise and then off to the port....BUT....I DO get to go back in December LOL

I don't remember off hand the line format for POTC, the left line on alot of rides would look like it takes forever to get there since it usally loads on the oppisite side. But if you hit left when the park opens, most people go to Fantasy or Tommorrowland 1st, Adventureland is usally pretty clear for the 1st couple hours.:yay:

Steve, I'm thinking (yeah thats what you smell burning:lmao:), since a number of Dad's will be there a week before now, I move that we make this a 2 week event, or even all of Dec. Make it a 4 phase event. Since it is The Dis Dad's In Dec, I would hate to see anyone going in this period to be excluded in the Thunder!:cool1:

It would be more input into planning + they will now who we are:woohoo: If we work together as a TEAM like we did in the bus thread, I feel we can make great accomplishments:thumbsup2

T - Together
E - Everybody
A - Achieves
M - More

Do I hear a 2nd:confused3
