Start making ADRs tomorrow for summer trip. Now it is starting to feel real finally!

Welcome back stopher! I've been enjoying the TR. Especially now that it includes the WL! :thumbsup2

Speaking of Disney resorts, I don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but Disney has a new website for their Hawaiian resort, currently under construction:

Disney's Aulani Resort

Check out the various artist renderings, and see if you can keep from drooling...

For a guy named Capt. Oblivious...you sure do catch allot of stuff.

Not sure why, but the NFL and the networks are referring to it as "South Florida" instead of Miami. Maybe more of a regional marketing thing where they're trying to help draw people to other cities such as Fl Lauderdale, etc?

The stadium property actually straddles the Dade/Broward county lines. It is actually quite a bit northwest of the city of Miami. But I am sure that you are right, there has to be some marketing reason in there somewhere. Not to mention the fact that we change the name of that stadium like every year!

Maybe so, but when people show up at the gates to the Everglades expecting to see Peyton Manning, they're gonna be ticked. :rotfl2:

Hey guys thought I would stop by and say hi. It has been a long few days, but it looks like our lives are getting back to normal. My wife came home last night from the hospital and is feeling better. Still sore from the c-section but better. Gabe is still in the hospital in NICU but is doing much better. The lab results came back over the weekend showing a staph infection in his blood. The Doctors were pretty concerned about it to the point where they felt it might be a result of meningitis. They did a lumbar punture (spinal tap) to test for meningitis. The test came back negative. They took a second blood culture to comfirm the first reading and the second test came back negative. They then had to take a third test and that also came back negative :banana:. That was a huge sigh of relief. The doctors are convined that it was a cross contamination issue in the laboratory. They were able to identify the type from the first test and it is something that is commonly found on skin. They did say though that he had some type of infection based on the initial blood results (high counts of red and white blood cells) and the low grade fever. The good thing was, when they put him in NICU Thursday night after his birth they immediatly put him on a general antibiotic which cured the infection.

With all that being said, he should be able to come home on Friday!:banana: It is a heck of a start for the little man but he is strong. Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. I gotta tell you guys, sitting in the hospital and reading through these posts and having something to laugh at was great.

Again, thank you.

That's great news! Too bad that poor baby had to go through a spinal tap for nothing... but at least there is no further concern. I'm sure you guys have had enough of the hospital... and are ready to have Gabe in your own home! :woohoo::woohoo:

You can count on this Goofy team to provide SOME sort of entertainment... even if it's just a random wedgie or something.... :cool2:

That's great news! My DS had a bit of a rough few first days and had to have the lumbar puncture done as well, not the kind of thing you want them to have to go through but at least he won't remember it (I've had two done in my life and still vividly remember them both). Hopefully it's full steam ahead from here, I have this theory that all the IV's DS had in the first week gave him some sort of super charged immune system; he didn't get his first ear infection until he was 4 and never seems to catch and colds or flu's DW and I bring home. Hopefully Gabe will further prove my theory.
