Man I need to get a day job with a desk, you guys roll during the day lord help me if I go on a week long trip. Captain great pics, need I say more they speak for themselves. And yes 3:30 is beer thirty somewhere! I'm just getting started down here in the south(better late than never) And as long as were buying rounds, anyone who makes it down to New Orleans A.K.A The Big Easy home of the Superbowl Champions Saints. Beers on me. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Funny Story - yesterday morning my wife see's a mouse run across the kitchen, OK you know what happened next the one day I can sleep till 7am, the frantic wife comes in yelling about a mouse at 5:30, I try to roll over and play it off but that tactic didn't work. Now it's war, I get up BB gun in hand, wife says are you crazy ( I nailed one a couple of years ago in the basement this way, took hours) I said you woke me up now I'm going Caddyshack on it.

When I went to work at 9:30 I hade 20 glue traps set up in a 10 x 12 kitchen:lmao:

I get home from work wife has 10 of those sonic pest chasers plugged in all over the house. I went to bed last night around midnite. At 1:37 am cat is wigging out all over the house, get up notice a glue trap gone, cat comes flying by with a glue trap on her paw with the mouse on it, son & wife wakeup start freaking out,now I got a 3 ring circus (glad I had a few before bed:lmao:) Seems like I was the only one that thought it was funny! Must be a guy thing:goodvibes:confused3

cats do the craziest things.I had one one time that was playing with a fishing rod that still had the hook on it and yep guess what? you guess it right in the upper lip!!!now that was fun to try and remove.

Mark - nice pictures!

nice pics mark!:thumbsup2

Mark,

Your pictures are great!! What kind of camera are you using and what sort of settings???

Thanks guys!

Steve, it's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5. It's actually a 5 MP point-and-shoot. These were on full automatic, just using the various settings like "Portrait" or "Scenery". Good camera, as long as there is plenty of light. It breaks down pretty quickly in low light.

We actually just upgraded to a DSLR--a Canon Rebel XSi. My wife and I are both trying to learn more about photography and we're looking forward to fooling around with the settings! She tends to have a better eye for portraits and people, and I do the landscapes and scenery. Maybe I'll put up a couple good ones she took of the kids later.

I believe the only time shares that can trade into Disney is RCI.I could be wrong but I do think its it.

ps asking Chris will not help he is not our information officer,Mark is:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I forgot about Mark's title I did not mean to break the chain of command!:rotfl2:

HGVC can trade with RCI so would that allow us to trade into DVC?

:cool2:

Oh yeah? Well tough - I'll respond if I choose to...title or not:cool2:

I'm pretty sure Stopher is and has always been the Information Officer--that title has to go to the guy who actually worked at DL! :wizard:

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever got assigned a title. Do we still need a Village Idiot? :lmao:

Anything you want to know - just ask. I sometimes feel like Gopher or *gasp* even Julie on the Love Boat. I'm just here to help - and happy to pass on a little bit of my Disney knowledge anytime. I didn't teach in the Disney University for nothing! And I've only helped numerous different friends and several family members plan their excursions to the both the World and the Land through they years. Information Officer is great, but I don't mind being your Yoeman Purser or Cruise Director - you just won't find me in a skirt if you call me the cruise director :rotfl: though I do have a clipboard... used one tonight while administering pre-camp swim tests for the Scouts I'm taking to Summer Camp this June. I'm the Camp Director for our Boy Scout Troop, and so far we've got 73 Scouts and 24 Adult leaders signed up...with 4 wks left to go in the sign-up period. Last year we took 82 and 24. So we might meet last year...could even surpass it. I'm not sure yet. This year both my boys are in the Troop - so that will be cool to get to go and spend a week with both of them at the same time in the great outdoors with about 450 other Scouts and Adults. It's a great time. :cool1:

We have the Canon XTi, which is the previous version of the XSi. I love it. I spent some time reading about apertures, shudder speed, ISO, etc and then just messed with all of it. Eventually you get over the learning curve and some of that stuff becomes second nature. But even on "fully auto" mode, it takes some darn nice pictures.:thumbsup2
Of course, now I'm looking a new lenses, fancy flashes, etc, etc, $$$:sad2:

I have a Nikkon D40X that I got about 3 years ago. It takes good pictures...I have not set down to read the instruction book yet so I have not realized what it's full potential is. I guess I need to do that so I can take pictures as nice as everyone elses!
