Great ideal! How about a t-shirt. Like I'm Dis Dad #---------, with a graphic that everyone gets to vote on. When you wear it to a WDW park ant run into another Dis Dad take a pic & post it on the board. If everyone wore a official t-shirts at the parks CM's and other onlooking Dad's would eventully recognize and maybe start a new fad (would most likely look good on our resume)

I was working on a hat design, since that could be worn every day, but I never finished it. Threadsmith.com lets you custom design stuff like hats and shirts and they're pretty reasonably priced. And, there's no minimum order so an item with an individual member number or name is no problem! I just couldn't find a graphic with high enough resolution to add to it.

My DW actually printed a screen for a T-shirt for when we were down there a couple of weeks ago. Pics coming in the TBD trip report.

Happy Thanksgiving all. My wallet has experienced more that a pain - it flatlined. We thought we would beat the Black Friday rush and already did shopping for our two girls ($). Then, DW's car battery dies ($$), refrigerator goes out ($$$), and washer went out last night ($$$$). It was a costly November. Then, I get to look forward to property taxes in December ($$$$$) and DVC Dues in January ($$$$$$$).

But, I get to put the tree up tomorrow, so hopefully, I will regain some of that Christmas magic.

i forgot about dvc dues. that sounds like my october. everytime we come home from vacation, i have to buy 3 major household items, roofs dishwasher,dryer,you would think i would be caught up ny now.

We have a similar day in Canada, we call it Boxing Day. It is the day after Christmas and all the stores have huge sales. I for one, lock my door and stay in the house for the day. The mall or a Big Box store on that day is just not in my vocabulary.

I got an email from threadsmith.com. They have 40% off everything through Nov 30. You can design the hat/shirt right on their site, if interested. They do have limited logos available but it looks like you can use your own if the resolution is high enough.

Anyone heard from Trennr? I shot him an email to the address he had listed on Facebook a few days ago but haven't gotten anything back. Hopefully it will turn out to be he was feeling better and they went away for Thanksgiving.

My wife wants to do a live tree this year (haven't had a live one since I was small) Any Tips?

When you water it, use hot water. It will open up the pores at the base at the stump and allow more water to be absorbed and keep the tree fresher longer.
I actually rigged up a watering tool to avoid crawling under the tree every few days with a pitcher of water. Get a piece of 3/4" (or whatever you have laying around) pipe, about 4 feet long. Use a pipe clamp to attach a funnel to the top. Now you can thread the pipe through the branches into the base and pour the water in through the funnel - all from a standing position.
A warning to this tale - try to avoid copper pipes. It conducts heat quite well. If you're holding it with one hand, and pouring hot water through it with the other, that pipe will heat up very quickly.
And invest in a disposal bag to keep hidden under your tree skirt. Makes for far fewer needles to pick up in January.
