We didn't do any of the Christmas shows. We did ride Space Mountain in "test" mode. It's awesome! We also walked onto Soarin'. Serious. At 10:15 or so in the morning. I have pictures. See?

The pics look awesome! I've never been on Soarin yet since DS is not tall enough, hopefully next year he can get on.

How much different is Space Mountain from the original?:confused3

Hey there guys - it's been quite a while since I last posted - I can't even remember when. Wow, for so long it was daily or more, and now it's been several months I'm guessing. Lots to read back through, but no time right now. I hope you're all doing well. WELCOME to our newest dads (so many since I last posted!)

I am currently sitting in Pasadena, CA - headed to DL tomorrow after a breakfast meeting with an old friend from preschool all the way through high school. I'm out here for work all next week, but of course can't come to Southern California and not hit the land! I'll be staying tomorrow night at the Paradise Pier Hotel directly across the street from DCA, and then at the end of the week will be my first stay in the new Villas at the Grand Californian. I'm so excited to use my VGC points!

I'll be sure to get some good photos of the Christmas decorations, and yes, I'll be good and come back on here later in the week and actually post some for y'all to see. I'm so excited to get my Disney fix! :cool1: And then in just about 6 weeks we leave for WDW. :thumbsup2

TTFN...but I promise it won't be too long this time. I actually took a hiatus from the DIS entirely for a while, and have slowly been getting back into it. Been posting mainly on the DVC boards recently, but will pop back in here as well from time to time. I just joined the Facebook group page as well - so here or there, you'll see me.

From what I understand, the line is different in that you now can play a video game with the other people in line. I can't speak to that as much as my wife is in a wheelchair and we bypassed most of that line (read: all of it). The ride itself is a lot smoother (which is saying a lot) and the waiting area is a lot nicer.

Is lime green our official color? :confused3

I'm not a big fan of Lime Green but it is the official "DIS" color. I had tried other colors for a hat (sandstone, black) a few months back but no one seemed very interested at the time. I preferred the sandstone with Navy lettering, thinking it would work well in FL since it's a light color and would work well as an everyday hat to wear around town. Maybe I'll work up another design and post it.

We've had artificial for the last few years. Even the price of cutting your own had gotten outrageous. We got this one on clearance and have paid for it a few times over by not getting a new one each year. Once the kids are a bit older, we'll venture out into the wilderness to cut our own. It's a great family tradition that we did every year when I was growing up.

A big black Benz? Probably not a country singer. He would show up in an F-150 or Silverado! :rotfl2:

And great news about trennr!

:lmao: im not saying anything. (yeeehaaaaaaw):lmao:

Here's a hat in "almond" (I thought it was called sandstone but that was probably a different style hat). Again, the colors aren't real accurate here. The lettering is Navy.

mijo, at work this morning a huge black benz pulls into our parking lot. a guy gets out and walks into the office, asks me "could you tell me how to get to martin guitar?" so i explained the 3 blocks away and he left. being so close to martin guitar we get alot of celebs looking for the place. the guys ask me who was it? i have no clue but the girl over at 7-11 across the street tells me it was some country singer. :lmao: i told her hes driving a 100k car,and sams have garmins on sale for $130.:lmao:

Dave ~ If a big, desert camo'd Hummer pulls up, it might be FED! Get the beer ready! :lmao:

I agree with Mijo - I'm not a fan of the lime green. For a keychain or something, fine - but not to put on my head. It would be fine as a secondary or accent color, though.
I typically don't wear hats to the parks anyway. But I did a little poking around on threadsmith's site and some of the polo shirts had some potential...

A polo shirt would work, too. It would be pretty easy to add some type of graphic since there would be more room.

how many pages do they allow on a thread? is it 200 or 250. were getting close again. we should have someone ready to start disdad3 when it happens. chill did a good job the last time.

Pneumonia sucks no fun, glad to hear he is doing a little better, it takes a while to get your strength back.

I am going to DL in the spring so I shot him a message and he gave me the low down. He said he has not been on the boards much but he has been in both DL and WDW.

I also heard from minniekissedme (bob) on my take a ride on old band-aid thread a few weeks ago. I'm sure he is bummed by the Pitt loss last night.

chill, can you link up take a ride on old band-aid ?

I'm pretty sure it is a 250 page limit. Nice of you to nominate chili... I second the nomination! :thumbsup2

We could always go the bowling shirt route. Logo on the back and screen name on the front.

The DS6 kept commenting on the Christmas lights on the neighbor's houses but the DW told him that Dad doesn't like getting up on the ladder to put them up.

So tonight, I took the weatherman's queue on this being the last nice day before the cold fronts come in and climbed the ladder to start hanging lights. Everything went fine until it started raining halfway through. Man, that was some COLD rain!
