I'm surprised that there aren't thousands of us on here, considering we're so close to WDW. I grew up in Miami, went to school in Tallahassee, lived in Lauderdale and Vero for about a year each, then interned in Melbourne for two, finally settled in WPB, been here for 10 years now. Not where I expected to be, but, where I met the wife and had the kids, so I guess it's home now. So, are you over all this heat yet? I swear I can feel my skin melting when I step outside.

Yeah the heat is really ridiculous. We had that little "teaser" a couple of weeks ago but nothing since. Hopefully it will cool down for your trip. And it would be nice if it could be at least slightly chilly on Christmas! Some people are saying it has something to do with El Nino - and that the longer it is hot now, the colder it will be later on. We'll see.......

OK, so this year Memorial Day is coming later than normal (or so it seems) and with my wife being a school teacher, we have to wait until she gets finished with her work days. With that said, we are leaving for the World on May 28th and returning on June 8th. We are taking our time going down and will have our first day in the parks on May 30th (my DW and I anniversary) and our last day will be June 7th. Driving home on June 8th. Is SWW just going to be in May this year? My son loves it and wants to do it again, so we may need to change our plans. We were there last year for Memorial Day and crowds were not that bad, but have never been for early June. How does it seem that week. Waiting for June hours before we make our ADR's.

Hmmmm....lemme see what I can com up with for him...:wizard:

Uh Oh... this is going to be good... popcorn::

It's DisneyMommy-O's Birthday today!

Of course the conversation about whether or not to buy any gifts came up, I did get the "Don't get me anything" response, but I definately have learned that this does not mean what it sounds like.:confused3

Imagine if I actually respected her wishes on this one.:rotfl2:
Probably would make for an uncomfortable evening. :scared1:

If you happen to be snooping around here Mommy-O, at least act surprised.;)

BTW.....:bday:party::love:

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DisneyMommy-O :bday:

Hehe... "Don't get me anything" .. sounds like a challenge... :rotfl2:

After a few years of really well meaning, but completely useless gifts my DW has finally progressed to finding something she likes about a month before her BD and either buying it or telling me to buy it and give it to her for her birthday. This leave me with just having to get flowers and take her out for diner.

Her next birthday should be interesting since we will be at Animal Kingdom for it.

Daddy-O: you don't have to get me anything either.

Of course, my BD isn't until September, and I probably don't have the same clout with you as Mommy-O does. But it never hurts to let you know. :rotfl2:

Daddy-O-

Sorry you got the classic 'You don't need to get me anything' line. Get your DW a Disney gift card that she can use on your trip.;)

OH yea- Mrs. Daddy-O

Happy Birthday!
:bday:

You would probably die if you respected her wishes:lmao::lmao:

Happy Birthday!!

Oh, and ask here how it feels to be 25 again...that's what my wife claims every birthday:lmao::lmao:

Thanks for confirming what I already knew.:lmao::lmao:
She actually said 29 this morning.:rotfl2:

:bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DisneyMommy-O :bday:

Why does this all have to be so confusing.

You would think, after 12 years of marriage, I would have figured this out.:rotfl2::rolleyes1

Ahhhh, Plea Bargains:rolleyes:

What's really fun is to put in 100 hours the week before someone goes to trial (especially a Homicide Case) to have the bad guy walk in, get through Jury Selection, then decide they're guilty:headache: Like they didn't know beforehand--I swear sometimes they do it on purpose!!

Not only is the new Dad a Skins fan, he's a GAMECOCK as well..

WHAT?! Boy, you just saved my behind big-time. :lmao:

I learned so many things after I got married. I had no idea there was a right and a wrong way to hang a roll of toilet paper. It seemed to work just fine either way to me. :rotfl2:

I always find it easiest when there are two ways to do things around the house I should figure out what way it logically should be done, then do the opposite.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah, yeah, we hear that every year......:lmao::lmao:

Oh, and to all the guys who've expressed their apprecation, thank you for all your support. I get to work with heroes, and God Bless each and every kid out here working hard for the freedoms we enjoy. I am truly in the company of heroes, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with them. Every time I hear about how "bad" this next generation is...or how the country is "going to hell in a handbag with this new group of kids"...I look around to the young men around me, the guys sweating in the heat, dust, sand and conditions you could never imagine, and I say "nah, we're in good hands"......they might be a little rough around the edges, but this generation is just as dedicated as those who came before them.

Rant off.

I got my Master's from USC, so no worries, I pull for them every game except one;);)

We're Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Mostly Mr Hyde---I get it:confused3:confused3

Guys, Hungry Hungry is working on his photo journal, however, due to bandwidth issues, the actual posting may have to wait a couple of weeks until we get back to the Hilton...will keep you posted...:wizard:
