DIS Dads The Dis Dad's Club II

ha fed!!! i was excused! its crim. week this week. they only called one set of jur. my number didnt come up.there was about 45 people remaining in the waiting room, they said after lunch they will be calling another jury. im in the wrong profesion. lunch, 11:15-1:00. my tax money at work!stayed in the courthouse because you walk outside you need another body cavity search to get back in. the clerk said at 2 that they settled and they wouldnt need us anymore. the clerk said that only 5 percent of the cases ever go before a jury in our county. of course i was there early and the second one in the room and out of 200 seats,mr.chatterbox has to sit next to me.some lady didnt like what was on tv so she had it change to another show with 3 hens cackling about nothing. than she gets up and sat in the hall doing work.leaving the rest of us to watch her show. it was fun!

Yeah, this year there is no comparison. We have let three teams without wins beat us. I hang my head in shame.

sounds like a fun morning, with the cavity search and all..... Lucky if I get to not answer the phone durning lunch, let alone 1:45 minute break. wow

Welcome to the Club! I'm just about 30 mins south of you (Coconut Creek) -- nice to have another South Floridian on board!

I'm surprised that there aren't thousands of us on here, considering we're so close to WDW. I grew up in Miami, went to school in Tallahassee, lived in Lauderdale and Vero for about a year each, then interned in Melbourne for two, finally settled in WPB, been here for 10 years now. Not where I expected to be, but, where I met the wife and had the kids, so I guess it's home now. So, are you over all this heat yet? I swear I can feel my skin melting when I step outside.

Are you going to be there during the Christmas - new year's week? If so, be prepared for lots of crowds and lots of people. I've never done it, but mother in law and father in law have. They reported 60-90 minute waits for almost everything.
I've been there during the first week of December, and agree with Mijo. t's absolutely amazing how the resorts and parks a decorated for the Holidays.

We are going Dec 19-27.

Alright I'm in!! Finally, a place to talk to other Men about this. I get made fun of all the time, because I am always talking about my next trip. In fact, everytime I plan this my Team Members make fun and say oh great 5 months of hearing about Disney.
Anyway, I am a 30 yr. old dad and husband. My DD is 5 years old, and I have passed on the DIS gene. I took my wife to Disney for her first time. I then took her mom, sister, cousin, and step dad for their first trip. I love sharing the DIS love.

Even though you are a Skins fan, I know exactly what you mean about next trips. (I'm an Eagles fan.) I was real glad to find this site. Us guys need a place to talk about our upcoming plans.

You know one of my Gamecocks was the majority of your offense for a while. You know who I am talking about, that's right good old #22 Duce Staley. You know he was probably one of the most well rounded runningbacks in Eagles history. And yes, I absolutely love having some other Dads to talk to about our Disney plans.

Ahhhh, Plea Bargains

What's really fun is to put in 100 hours the week before someone goes to trial (especially a Homicide Case) to have the bad guy walk in, get through Jury Selection, then decide they're guilty Like they didn't know beforehand--I swear sometimes they do it on purpose!!
