DIS Dads The Dis Dad's Club II

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

That's great! I had a similar experience when I took my wife (girlfriend at the time) to her first Flyers game. At one point in the third period, she announced, "I want to see a fight." I turned and said, "I love you." :lmao:

Well, wouldn't you know it...I walked out the door this morning and found a flat tire on my minivan! But hey...it's still a nice ride. :thumbsup2

Probably from all the negative minivan energy on this thread.

All this Flyers talk is starting to make me a little uncomfortable, but being a Leafs fan, I can't say too much right now!:lmao:

There was a time when the Leafs and the Flyers had some pretty fun playoff series.:thumbsup2

Yeah, you guys are much appreciated....don't EVER want to see a grunt with a scapel...:lmao::lmao:

And thanks for always providing a ride to the fight fellas...

LOL... Hey if it wasn't for the Navy giving the Marines a lift, you guys might have been late and then what would the Army do... I mean you know they don't hit the beach until the Marines have secured it :rolleyes1

Not quite true, we usually get dropped in behind the lines to make it easier for the Marines to secure the beach for the heavy stuff to be brought in by the Navy boys.

Just a few quick things.

1] I walked the Corn Field last night to familiarize myself with it...took about 30 minutes. :thumbsup2

2] I Hope to Start Day 6 on my trip report this afternoon.

3] I think Don is still on Day 4...and he had a head start. :lmao:

I'm looking forward to reading about Day 6, I think that other thread you are talking about was shut down, something about an infestation of crickets.:lmao::rotfl:

I always hated it when the Flyers had to play the Leafs in the playoffs, because no matter who won the series, you knew they were coming out battered and bruised and in no shape for the next one.

Air Force - "0"??

Just take a look at my avatar...

Alright! The Air Force has landed! Give the Air Force 1!!!!! :thumbsup2

What's your connection with K4NQV? I'm NQ3D and been licensed since 1972.

With all the mini-van talk and the thought of maybe flaming someone, I have a confession to make. My 1st vehicle purchase was a mini-van... 1995 Ford Windstar AKA money pit AKA glad it's gone! Yes I said it. I was the only 19 yr old who owned their own mini-van in CT.:rotfl: It worked out good for me because I was starting out in the DJ business and having a van was great for moving all that equipment around. I also didn't see any of my friends laughing when 7 of us piled in and drove 1200 miles to Panama City Beach for spring break. I had to put in a new tranny, replaced every sensor, exhaust, thermostat, plus a million other 'fixes'. Plus I loved seeing the check engine light on for about 3 years.. with no one able to figure out why it was on.

The day I went to trade it in (Aug 2006), I pulled it out of my driveway and started down the street. I went to hit the breaks coming up to a stop sign and the peddle went all the way to the floor.... I had NO breaks!!!:scared1: I pulled up the E-break and skidded across another street before I came to stop in someone's lawn. I hated that hunter green windstar (AKA Windy) and that was the icing on the cake.

I drove it back up the street to my driveway, parked it, got out, kicked it, and called our local BSA to donate it. Then I called my friend up, he drove me to the car dealer, and about an hour and 1/2 later had my 2004 Tahoe... which I love and still drive today!

I hope you all can understand my animosity toward the mini-van.:goodvibes

I can just immagine trennr walking up to the Pineapple Bar cart at 4:00 in the afternoon, grabbing a stool and telling the vendor "cut me off at 2. Ah, what the heck, make it 2:30."

The only thing worse than a lime green hat might be a lime green minivan! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

They don't have a lime green hat, fortunately, and the lime green stitching only seems to look half decent on a black or white hat. I guess white would be pretty good for Florida. I'll have to give it some thought.
