Everything is inlcuded. You have your choice to either bait fish or fish with artificials. I let my son bait fish but I use the artificial baits.
I started taking my oldest son fishing when he was three. We would not go really long and I would always make sure that we were catching fish (blue gills). It kept him interested and wanting to come back for more.
Thanks for the info. My girls like playing with worms (got to keep them dirty to scare off those prom dates) but I'm not sure if they are ready to bait a hook. I wonder if they would mind if I bring a cooler full of beer - that helps me to fish.
LOL... When my oldest DS was born, I traded in the Blazer for a Minivan. It is at 65k so I am going to have it for a while still. And while I will never admit it to the DW, I have to admit it is convenient. But my minivan is Black, so that helps a little
Just to add to the numbers... 11 years active duty US Navy, but 10 of those were assigned to the US Marines so does that count as a 1/2 in both camps... or 1 in each
I think you guys went pretty light on the admission requirements, I not only tear up watching my guy having fun there, but tear up just thinking about him having fun on the next trip!
I moved down to Raleigh, NC from Canada in 2002 and we love it here. I was determined to take our son last year before he turned 3 (free) so in May we headed to POP Century for a week and when 2 months later the mouse sent us a "bounce back" offer we couldn't refuse. It did hurt that they didn't realize the little guy had turned 3 in the meantime so we headed back to All Star Sports in September. I think I realized we were hooked when we were on It's A Small World for what we determined to be the 20th time that trip and didn't even hesitate when my son asked to go on again. In April of this year we took the DVC plunge with AKV.
That's it in a nutshell, in 7 days we make the trip for the first time as a road trip for our comp stay at SSR. The best part is we haven't told him yet; I'm seriously thinking of waiting to see how far we are into the trip before he starts seeing billboards an putting two and two together.
Looking forward to many discussions with you guys! It's great to be among people who's first question isn't "Didn't you just go last year?"

First, to all who have sent me words of encouragement and prayers in the last little while, let me just again say thanks. It was a huge help to have somewhere to talk and get things off my chest.
A big welcome to all the new Dad's
A special to our new Canadian Dis Dad tutter99. Now I realize that he no longer lives in Canada, but I have to say he only moved away to be closer to the mouse!
Maybe a fellow Leafs fan? We can wallow in sorrow together
Well, there are 2 different clubs in play here. To be a Dad, you have to have the minivan (albeit grudgingly). To be a DIS dad, you put the sticker doo-hickeys on it.
