I'm waiting on the podcast - someone is heading on the Sum of All Thrills this week for a review.

And now, to ruin everyone's day - here's a piece of software I found last night:

LEGO Digital Designer

It's a free LEGO CAD program! My son is in a LEGO class in our home school CO-OP (simple engineering) and he needed something to help him build a trebuchet (his assigned project). I found this at 11:30 last night just before bed and the next thing I know it was 1:00 AM. This is a REALLY cool piece of software. It works on both MAC and Windows and it even will build instructions for you as you design and it will let you buy it as a completed project in a box that you design from LEGO. Of course, we're just using it for designing and we'll pick up the extra pieces we need from Lego Pick A Brick (PAB) or somewhere on BrickLink.

Anyway, if you're into LEGO, check it out. This is SO COOL! The only bad thing is that I'm stuck at work! BAAAH!

:lmao:

We'll you just killed any plans DW had for me doing anything productive this weekend...THANKS:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I've still got every set from when I was a kid and Rubbermaid tubs full of it that I stocked up on whenever Target or the Lego site was clearing them out. At last count I think it was well over a hundred sets.
Of course I'm only getting it to put away for my son:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Ian...I think we may be related???

I think we've had this conversation before. lol

My evil plans are working! I've still not told my son about it yet. We've got a family job we do a few weekends each year and we won't be home tonight until 9 or so and tomorrow we're busy from 8a until 7p.

I gave up most of my LEGO sets for my son. Seriously - they cost too much anymore. We've finally got a LEGO store here in town (we had an awesome LEGO store in Denver) and it's hard to walk in there. Of course, I've still got $35 on the LEGO gift card in my pocket...

Oh, btw, the software makes that cool *click* sound when you put the LEGOs in place and when you grab the LEGOs from the panel on the left it sounds like you're rummaging through a bin of LEGOs. This is so much fun...

i see snow!!!:scared1: its 90 here!! and, if you havnt heard, its global change now, not global warming.:hippie: we leave sat. morning, hopefully we can get home in one day with all the snow in the northeast. aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, its only going to 85 today!

Hey, Dave! Take your time getting back. It's supposed to warm up again next week. It's 44 and threatening rain here right now.......rain and wet snow mix yesterday afternoon! Nothing like this kinda weather with leaves on the roads. Is it really October?!

Hey guys. It's been cold here as well. High today was 44 :scared1:

We're 3 weeks out. Or as some tickers would reference 10 days less than a month.

Can't wait to head south for some warm weather and some WDW fun. :cool1:

Hope you all have a good weekend!

I know what you mean about the cost. Luckily we are in the Super Target by Triangle Town Center a couple of times a week so we always seem to snag it when they put it 50 or 70% off. I was really excited when I heard we were getting that Lego store but putting it across from the Disney store is just plan cruel, its like the two companies are plotting against me. Hopefully once the lego store has been open a while they will start having more clearance stuff like the other ones i've been to.

Guest Assistants Pass or a GAC pass for those individuals with unapparent medical conditions. Basically if you have a medical condition that makes it uncomfortable to wait in long lines, confined spaces, or various other issues that aren't visible. I'm not really sure but I think it kind of works like if you have someone in your party in a wheelchair or scooter.
If you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, you will find a list of questions and answers about Guest Assistance Cards in post #6.

Someone with a wheelchair or scooter doesn't normally need a GAC unless they have needs for things besides being able to bring their wheelchair/scooter in line with them (CMs can figure out from seeing the wheelchair that they need accessibility).

Yeah - we tend to watch the sales pretty close. It's hard to find good deals on LEGOs though. I live right next to Briar Creek so we've got the new Super Walmart across the street from our house, and the Target right near us so we get a lot of the deals. I totally agree on the Disney Store vs the LEGO store. Unfortunately, there's also an Apple store there too... Crabtree Valley Mall intends to suck every dollar out of our budget whenever we go. LOL

We have a few places like that...:lmao::lmao:

One place we go has a BabiesRus-ToysRus combination, Anne Taylor Loft, and BASS PRO SHOPS!!!!

Our Check Card is melted when we come out of that place.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Lego site looks really cool, I just can't get it to work on my .gov computer:mad: Stupid Gobernment, I don't know why the expect me to actually work:lmao::lmao:

big green tree frogs hang out ontop of our door. were home.:sad1: we departed okw at 3:30 am and got home 8:15pm. fed, exit 1-3-6 are still there. we stopped at the welcoming center sat. morning. it was 74 when we pulled out and it was 52 when we hit the rest stop. no propblems, not much traffic. it rained when we hit int66 off of 17 but other than that, we had about 15min. of rain total the entire trip.

If you get this before you head out, check out the new exhibit at Innoventions, The Sum of All Thrills, and let us know what it's like :thumbsup2 This sounds like a must-do for our next trip.

Hmmmmm... let's fire up the DDMEB (DIS Dad's Magical Express Bus) and pick up all the dads and head on down! OH... and you guys experiencing "the white stuff" can pack some of it in a cooler so we can have snowball fights on the way :rotfl2::rotfl2:
sorry don, i didnt check this before we went to epcot. we didnt go into inno.

Thanks man, I owe ya one!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Exit 1 used to be THE place to stop for fuel---until they caught the guy that ran the big filling station rigging the pumps to give you 3/4 of a gallon instead of a gallon, yet still charging you:headache::mad::mad:

My wife says it's gotten colder, but supposed to warm up again..

I must've missed the earlier frog conversation---we get overrun by those things certain times a year.....looks like popcorn with all the baby tree frogs jumping out of the grass when you walk across---:lmao:

Edited to add:

Exactly 4.5 more weeks, and I'll be relaxing at the Hilton Kuwaiti Resort. Wow, how long can 32 days drag on? LOL

Oh wow. It was still 90 while you were there? I thought it cooled down at the end of the week. The projected high in Orlando today is 68!
