The Cafe on the lower level is one TS and is open for both lunch and dinner. The Dining Room on the upper level is only open for dinner and it is not on the dining plan.

We did book the dining room upstairs and will be trying it out in September.

There are two Wolfgang Puck table service restaurants in the same building. The downstairs area is Wolfgang Puck Cafe. That is one table service on the Disney dining plans. The upstairs area is Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room. That restaurant does not accept DDP at all. If you are on the dining plan you may want to make sure you book the Cafe and not the Dining Room.

And I would heartily recommend the Cafe downstairs. We ate there last year for the first time and are booked for a return visit in August. The carrot cake is particularily good.:thumbsup2

I'd love to hear if you liked the upstairs. My DH and I always sit at the sushi bar downstairs and have received EXCELLENT and quick service there.

I was thinking of trying the upstairs but I'd like to know about it first.

We ate at WPC 2 years ago and were very disappointed. The food was fine, not great; but not amazing. The service was horrible. We were seated and we sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came over to the table. When she did, there was no apology and she made us feel that we were intruding on her time. We gave her our drink and appy order. Another 15, we got our drinks and she took our order. Disappeared again for a while, our appys came delivered by someone else. Our entree came before our appy plates were removed, oh the first one brought the entree. We asked for bread, that never came, our drinks were never refilled and we requested water, which we never saw.

The place was not busy, and we seem to have been her only table at the time. We were not seated near other people; but that was because is was not crowded and it was fairly early. I asked DH if I stunk or something, he laughed and said, wait until she sees the tip. After sitting there for a while with emply plates, she finally appeared and we asked for the check. Suddenly she became very friendly. We told her we almost left without paying because she took so long. She just giggled and said I'm sorry with a shrug. She asked if we liked it and my DH said, another drink would have been nice; but you must have been busy. Another giggle and shrug.

Now we usually over-tip because I was a waitress for a long time and I know you rely on the tips; but I provided good, friendly service. We left her $5. I wanted to leave her a dime or penny to prove how awful she was but my DH was trying to be a little kinder.

I have heard much better reviews than this one; but this was our experience.

I've eaten at the upstairs dining room on my annual trips to WDW for the last 3 years, and we have always enjoyed it. It is not our favorite dinner place for our week long trips, but we do enjoy it enough to keep returning and will be there again this May. The menu is varied and has lots of options for everyone in our party with different tastes, and I love the view of DTD and the Characters in Flight balloon. It is also a welcome, quieter atmosphere from the craziness downstairs.

I ate lunch at the cafe downstairs for the first time in January, and while the food was good, I thought it was overpriced for what it was, especially the lunch size pasta entrees. For dinner, I would much rather spend a little more and enjoy a nicer dinner upstairs.
