We have a trip planned for Dec. My DH and I have decided we really can't afford it this year and want to go in the Spring. I got a great rate on airline tickets with SW for $35 each way. They say non refundable, but does anyone know if I can get credit to fly next Spring?

Here's my recent experience w/SW- I had "unused travel funds" that were supposed to be used within one year of the orig. purchase date which would have been Oct 15, 2005 but we are not travelling again until Jan. 2006. I called/wrote SW customer service a letter stating that I had unused funds that I needed to use for Jan 2006 and they responded by sending vouchers for the unused funds that will expire in Apr. 2006. The only problem is that vouchers cannot be used to purchase internet airfares. So I called SW customer service again & explained situation & they told me to book the flights on the internet, pay the full price with my cc, then once the travel has been completed in Jan 2006 to mail the vouchers (via registered mail) along with my completed itinerary to the CS dept. & they would then credit the amount of my vouchers back to my credit card....its been really confusing..I hope it works. Good luck to you!

You will get a credit that is good for air travel for 1 year from the time that you booked your original trip. It is very easy to cancel and then later use the credit. Just look under Travel Center on their web page.

My experience has been that they give you "Ticketless Travel Funds"--pretty much they keep your money, but you have a "credit" you can use within a year. Too bad I can't use them....we are going in Dec and judging from your signature we probably both fly out of the same place!!! I'm not happy with my current flight times, but can't get the right ones!!!

You need to have completed any travel booked with SWA credits within one year of original purchase.

Thanks everyone. I called and found out the same info. Thanks for posting! :sunny:
