I'm so glad this was posted over on the Canada Board for us to take a look! What a great story!!!! What great detective work and sn't the power of the internet an amazing thing?! :wizard::lovestruc

WOW you guys! I was away most of the day and just saw this thread! I really would hope anyone would do what I did!
I did put them on my harddrive before sending it! I am actually in the process of putting some disney frames on a few to email her. She has 4 GORGEOUS children - like seriously some of the most gorgeous kids I have ever seen!
I didn't do it for any praise or to get on the news or Ellen (ok but going on Ellen would be cool... lol) -I really didn't!

So I go to the post office today with my little bubble envelope and ask for a couple of stamps and the woman SNAPS at me "WHAT IS IN THERE". Huh? I said 'ummm a gift for someone'....well WHAT is in there she demands again. I guess it had to go as a package with a customs sticker on it. I told her it was a camera card and she says 'A camera can't fit in that package DONT LIE TO ME - WHAT IS IN THERE?". Noooooo a DIGITAL CAMERA CARD.... and she says 'Oh did you sell it on ebay?' - ummm no... so I go into the story and she says 'How did you find her?' and I said there were clues in the photos, etc... and YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAYS? Dang those cards are worth a lot of money you should have just kept the card and sold it or something! OMG that thought didn't even enter my mind. I guess if it had been empty I would have just kept it, but why on earth would I keep it!?! So that answered my question that not all people would find the owner...
I was going to lose it with her and lose all my good karma, but I kept it together and paid for the package. LOL.

Wow. Glad you got it sent despite the crazy postal lady. :rotfl: How strange that she would think to just keep the card. That thought would have never crossed my mind either. And she must not get out too much because the memory cards aren't that expensive anymore.

I'm glad you found the card and not her! :goodvibes

 @ post office lady. Lollopop's Mom, I am sending you some lovely thoughts from over the oceans. Such a wonderful thing for you to do. I hope someone does something amazing for you today :thumbsup2

Thanks - and I could really USE those good thoughts and karma right now! Anyone had one of those years where anything that can wrong, does go wrong? Yah...thats my year - but we plod on :)

To go to such lengths to show kindness to a stranger surely will not go without its own rewards! Keep us posted, I hope to read something "magical" happens to you. :littleangel:

It's really great what you have done. I'm glad you found the family. Pictures are precious! Thank you for sharing the story.:goodvibes

Anybody here have contact with Disney brass? Lollipop's Mom deserves a free, all-expenses paid DL trip and a stay at GCH.

SERIOUSLY.

Make it so.

Just wow!! Stories like this are a reminder of all the good that is still out there!! I hope you believe in Karma because you have a huge batch of it coming back to you!:yay::cheer2:

I am a believer in Karma :)
If I wake up tomorrow and my car has fixed itself I will be a HUGE believer :) LMAO!

Ok...
It just clued into my - my photo printer can read this card!

Oh man this family must be crying - over 370 photos/videos from all kinds of stuff, including baby photos.

So there are tons of photos that look like they were taken before they came to Anaheim - at a military type event with families.

Then there are photos I believe were taken in a high school gym - most likely Anaheim, as there is a big A on the wall.
It appears to be a Native American family who attended some sort of event where they were competing with flag routines in a high school gym. It says Eagles Pride on the areas around the gym.
So with google searching -Eagles Pride seems to be some sort of event that happens around the country, but also I am thinking it could be a high school with their team mascot being the Eagles.

So I found an anaheim middle school that has the Eagles and phoned them and have sent them photos - it is not their gym, but she is seeing what she can do.

Then there are 2 days of disneyland photos - it looks like they went to DCA one day and DL the next, and seemed very 'tourist' type photos - they dont seem like locals because they have tons of photos that locals wouldn't bother with anymore.

Ok so here is one photo.... any idea of where this gym is? I can't get good clear ones yet because I have to take a photo of the photo on my photo printer....

That was a winterguard competition.

Amazing story! I'm at a loss for words worthy of expressing your kindness.

WOW!! What an amazing story! I just got goosebumps all over after I read about her reaction. What a wonderful thing you did for her!!! Sending lots of pixie dust your way! :wizard::wizard::wizard:

I can relate to how she must have felt - my mom moved to Colorado (we're in CA) a month or two after I graduated high school. She had a bunch of rolls of film developed right before she left (I'm dating myself here with the "rolls of film", it was 1996), which included photos from her honeymoon with my step-dad (their first trip to WDW), my 18th birthday, my prom & HS graduation, her going away party, and other family events. The night before she flew out someone broke into her house and stole everything that was left in there, including the photos. Of all the stuff they took, if they would have just left the pictures. I never even had a chance to see them. We were going to go through them all on that last night. :(
This family is truly lucky to have someone like you come into her life. :grouphug:

She just phoned me!
And OMG here is a tearjerker for you....

Their family is being relocated to Korea in June. The first photos were of a big send off type party for the military families. The 2nd photos were her kids very last drumline competitions (something they love and will dearly miss) and then the disneyland trip was their VERY first trip and probably ONLY trip. She just turned 40 and they did it for her 40th birthday as their last family vacation before they are all shipped off to Korea. They did it on a wing and a prayer and could only afford 2 days there.
She has been devastated over the loss of the card. She did report it to ART and their hotel, both of which I contacted and the run around that no one had reported anything.

She was over the moon excited and said she sat in shock when she got my facebook message!
I am so happy! Putting in the mail tomorrow! I feel like super detective or something!

Absolutely Amazing! I hope that some serious Pixie Dust finds its way your direction...in a world of some many "who cares" type people, you have been a shining example of all that is good in the word. Thanks for the smile and the hope that society hasn't completely gone mad! :)
