The did we do anything but eat on this trip deluxe dining report! Aug 12-21

So we knew it was coming ...the dreaded last day. Who dosent hate these, you plan and plan you get there and BAM last day....sigh....
We started out the trip with weather like this......
disneytripwithbrad276.jpg

a sunny first day view of the Haunted Mansion from a ride on the Liberty Belle Riverboat, to a cloudy last day view of the beloved Cinderellas Castle!

So our last day I had scheduled the 1900 Park Fare as a late Breakfast but with the rain and us being running behind, I called Disney Dining and cancelled our ADR.:sad2:
So I asked about a lunch opening and took the Kona Cafe for 12:40, great! I thought, until we got to the Magic Kingdom and my boys wanted to run from ride to ride and get all there favorites in before time to leave. So we came up with getting a reservation OR doing a Counter Service around 2pm before we had to leave.:sad1:

So again I called Disney Dining cancelled Kona Cafe and got The Plaza at 2:15 Perfect! They could ride and we could get in a last meal before leaving to catch our Magical Express to the airport!:guilty:

What a nice surprise!:thumbsup2
We had never been here before and really was never even a thought before today, we had a really nice lunch! Our waitress was a very nice gal who we never had to ask for anything, she brought before we needed it, and we all enjoyed our meals! Here is what we had

My Ds had the Child Turkey Sandwich(shaped likea Mickey head) with salad and fries

Some us had the Tomato Bisque and other had the Tossed Salad, both yummy! The soup thick and creamy & the salad crisp, cold and fresh!

My DH had the Chicken Sandwich with fries. He like this

Now I know my SIL had the Grilled Reuben (shocking huh?) she liked it as well but for some reason I cant find a pic of it :confused3

Then we had to have dessert of course!:rotfl:

We really liked our surprise lunch here, good service and good food works for us! Plus I was so happy to be leaving on an up note!:goodvibes

One more to come...The Summery.....Our Family's Hit & Misses!

I love your reviews!
It looks like the ESPN Club's menu has changed since we were last there. Any chance you have a copy of the menu you can post?
Or, did you happen to notice the hot wings? not the teriyaki ones, or the boneless ones, but the actual buffalo wings? I want to make sure they are the sam that they used to be!

Thanks!

excellent food reports, it's a real shame that pluto was so naughty.

My son said last night 'i'm still made at pluto from that place, not all Pluto's just that one"!:rotfl:

I know when I looked on allearsnet.com the menu was slightly diferent than the one we had. Sorry I dont have a picture on the menu, now I am thinking out loud here, but I think there was Hot Wings. When my DN ordered the Teriyaki ones I believe she asked him what type of wing he wanted, I would think hot Wings would be on that list. My hubby had the Hot Buffalo Bite, but I will ask those guys and see if they remember!

Great reviews and the food looked yummy!popcorn:: Thanks for the Plaza report; coincidentally I was just wondering to make an ADR there for our next trip.

you did an amazing job with all the reviews and photos......thanks so much for doing this.......
Marie

I loved all your reviews from start to finish!

The travel days home are so hard, though. Even if you have a half day in the parks, the trip home weighs on the whole day. Glad you got to have a nice "good-bye" meal at the Plaza. I haven't been there in years, but did enjoy the place for a nice quiet lunch.

Thank You Guys :flower3:

My family really was into it as well so we had alot of fun with it!

luvpooh- My hubby said that he did think buffalo wings were still on the ESPN menu~

We had a great time and have been even planning out next years Christmas trip already, my son is a planner like his momma! So we have picked out our faves and left some behind...but all in all we had wonderful time and cant wait til we get to do it again!

Here was our High & Low lights
Worst Service - 50's Primetime Cafe in the Studios the food wasnt bad but the service just put a damper on things!
Best Service- ESPN the whole staff was great!:thumbsup2

Everyone's Favorite- There were so many, Yachtsman, Boma but Cinderella's Royal Table won, I think it being really good coupled with the fact that it was the Castle just wowed us all! :lovestruc
Yachtsman was a really close second, and in "just the food" department it won!:goodvibes
Least Favorite- The Garden Grill from the food to the service it was just kinda blah.:sad2:

Dinner Show- We all liked the Luau but the Hoop De Doo is still our Favorite!:thumbsup2

We were on the DDDP and nobody seemed to mind, and out of 16 places we ate at only 4 of them was the service from "not so good" to "bad". All the others were either good or excellent.;)
and Yes we would do the Dining Plan again!:thumbsup2

Tipping wasnt a problem, since we were on 2 seperate cards we chose to leave cash, again not a problem.:)

My son did get tired of the kids menu quick, most places had the same choices, a few had there own but he shared alot with us so all worked out fine there.:cool2:

So again thanks to all for reading and enjoying! :grouphug:

Just found your reviews - they were great!

I've not been too tempted to do any of the signature restaurants until I read your review of Yachtsman Steakhouse - now that's on my list for next time.

I've enjoyed your reviews so much and your pictures were great. Thanks.

Thanks for the great reviews! I think we might be there at the same time next year!

Just got all caught up - I think the Plaza is a real hidden treasure, easily one of the best TS places inside the parks.
