We are headed to Tuscon on Saturday. I am flying Sat. at 6am with my 2 girls by myself. DH has to go on Fri night. 2 and 1/2 hour layover in Atlanta which should be fun because my DDs like to play on the moving sidewalks. We look like we are crazy but they have so much fun! We always say that we will have to go through Atlanta to get to heaven because we always have to change planes there.

Does anybody have any advice about Tuscon? We are going down for the day to Nogales, Mexico. I am a little nervous about taking my DD there. Wondering what the city is like? :confused3

You weren't long-winded at all - you were perfect! I know what you mean, though - I sometimes give too much info., too. But when you're talking about something you love...

It was funny - when we walked down Main Street the 1st time, DH (who had never been to DL) turned to me and said "that can't be the castle!" When I assured him it was (what else would it be?), he said "it looks like a caketopper compared to Cinderella's!" :rotfl2: I thought Sleeping Beauty's was charming, but it does take some getting used to - not being able to see the castle from anywhere in the park.

We also found ourselves when making comparisons between DL and WDW just using "home" when referring to WDW - it was easier than spelling things out! I wish I could live in WDW, so your DD and I could be kindred spirits! :teeth:

I really want to read a trip report. I love to read comparisons between WDW and DL. I'm so glad you had a good time.

What time is your layover in Atlanta?? I am dropping my DH off at the Atlanta airport around 7:30am. I wouldn't be able to get thru to the concourse though since I am not a ticketed passenger.

Wow, I went past my due date with my last 3. The last one we were trying "creative" ideas we found on the internet to get labor started.

I got progressively earlier with each pregnancy. DD#1 came 1 week early,
DS came 2 weeks early, and the twins came 4 weeks early. However, my dr. told me she would induce me on my due date if I hadn't gone into labor early. I really liked that about her.

on the regular - it is 7 days for a DVC AP

10 day park hopper no expire 410 regular AP - 441
7 day park hopper no expire 329 DVC AP 335

Tammi - this is assuming that you would want park hopper and no expiration - I don't think you can buy more than 10 days on a ticket

if you did not add an expiration option - you would probably be better buying the tickets - but I would assume if you are buying an AP you plan on using them on more than one trip
Thanks. I think the DVC AP is the best deal for what we have planned coming up.

I need advice:

Julia has lost her voice - she seems fine otherwise - she tells me it hurts to talk

her breathing is fine and her energy level seems normal

she is on antibiotics and has been for 6 days now - would you send her to school?

the lost voice seems to be the only problem -

I know it seems ridiculous to ask you all what you think - she hasn't been to school in over a week but I can't bear the thought of sending her back and getting sick again!!

how do you make the decision that your child is ready to go back to school?

Have you checked her throat? Is it swollen and red? I think I'd probably keep her home today. I'm a little paranoid, though, and don't want my kids out of my sight if they're sick. Good luck and I'm sending lots of
:flower2: for Julia and for you, too.

Hi everyone!

I haven't been feeling well lately and reading too much makes it worse so it's been almost impossible to keep up with this thread. I've read back a few pages and just wanted to say:

Deb - I'm so glad to hear about your dad. He is so lucky!

I hope all of the sick kiddos and kids having surgery get well soon :wizard:

Kristine, your Grandson is adorable! Congratulations on the new addition :goodvibes

Amy, hope you're feeling better today and enjoy your visit with Grandma :goodvibes

Lindsey - YEAH on the win :cheer2: I'm glad you were able to have so much fun while you were there.

I'm sure I've missed lots of important things and I hope to catch up soon. Won't be tonight though, Lost is finally back on  I need my Sawyer fix :lovestruc

DAWN!!!!
so sorry you haven't felt well - we have missed you!!!!

Take care of yourself!!!!! Enjoy lost!!!

I was trying to put on a bracelet this morning I got for Christmas. Stephanie asked what I was doing so I told her. Then I said, darn, it doesn't fit. So then a few minutes later she says, I know why it doesn't fit! You ate too much food! Gee, um, thanks kid! :rotfl:

One more thing...

Do any of you know where I can find children's gloves or mittens super cheap? I need about 20 pair for 5 year olds for DS's birthday party in February. I've checked EBay and that may be an option, but I'm looking for other ideas as well.

Thanks!

Yep got the VCR set up for Lost. I am partial to Jack--Matthew Fox--really liked him on Party of Five :faint:

I am more of a reader than a poster but I thoroughly enjoy reading this thread daily, I think you guys are a great bunch of people and I could defiantly use some of your prayers and pixie dust this week, my 5 year old son, Blake is having his tonsils and adenoids taken out on Thursday, I know that he will be much better off in the long run but right now I am terrified of him having to be put out.

Libby
 I know that it can be scary, but it will go alright. My now 4YO was born with a kidney defect and had to be put under a couple times when he was 1. Everything went fine but I was a wreck during. If you're still nervous when you get there talk to 1 of the nurses, they can be a great help. One even came out and told me what was going on halfway through. Prayers and :wizard: .

OK, I promise that I did read every post, but was using the computer in the bedroom with no paper nearby so I didn't take notes. I know that several people needed pixie dust :wizard: :wizard: and there were a few congrats. I saw some wonderful new designs too.

For all of you that were there for me during the Train Incident with my Dad, he had a CT Scan yesterday and everything is back to normal. He has been medically cleared.

Colby's face has healed, but he is left with a 3/4 " scar on his left cheek, actually between the cheek and mouth kind of following the laugh/smile line. Hopefully that will get better over time.

It looks like we are climbing out of the illnesses that we've had lately too.

Thank you all for your support during these difficult times. I really cannot find words to express how much you all helped me.

Deb
I'm gald to hear your dad is done with all that. You must be so releived. There are some meds. that help with scars. Maybe you can ask your Dr. about it?
