I know this is totally off topic... But DD is sitting here singing "the Farmer in the Dell" She has a few of the words mixed up and I am trying to remember how it went. Is the order: Farmer takes a wife... wife takes a child... child takes a dog...dog takes a cat....cat takes a mouse...mouse takes a fish...fish takes a worm.... hi ho the merrio the farmer in the Dell? At least that is how I am remembering it.
O.K. enough of the afternoon sing-a-long. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Since we are all Disney addicts, I have an old Disney's Children's Favorites Songbook from an old record (vinyl, album) that I bought years ago. Of course, many of you might not be old enough to remember those.

It says:

The farmer in the dell.

Hi guys I am home!!! I went and had margaritas and cheese dip with some girlfriends. Now I am home in my PJ's all by myself. My DH still has the boys out at basketball practice. Just thought I would check in before I curled up in front of the TV before the rest of the crew gets here.

Hey Cinderumbrella I noticed from your signature that you stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in Oct. How did you like it? My family will be there 4 weeks from today.
I take it that you liked it because your going back in Dec. But I was just wondering.

My DH, DD17, DD20, and I will be at POR the 1st week of March (57 days and counting) for the third straight year. We love POR. We keep adding an extra day to the trip. We stay in the Alligator Bayou section. My DH isn't one for crowds and likes the way that POR is spread out. It gives us some privacy once we leave the parks. From everything I've read, people either love it or hate it. We love being able to take the boat to downtown Disney in the evening. We have never waited very long for the bus system. I hope that you have a great experience there too.

BTW - our guide must be really good b/c he is the senior DVC guide now

Is that Bernard? That is who sent my DVC packet and his title says "Senior Vacation Club Guide. I was wondering if someone had a DVC guide that they liked working with so that I could ask for them. It sounds like some are better than others as far as keeping in touch. I like the personal touch.

DH just called on the way home from work. He's arranged for a sitter for the kids, and is taking me out to dinner and to see King Kong. I'm excited. An actual date with my hubby! I love those evenings. I don't even care that dinner will be pretty lame for me. Oh well, it's all about being with hubby and enjoying time together, right? We haven't been on a date for a long time. We always end up taking the kids with us. This will really be a treat!

Guess I'd better go get ready! Talk to you all tomorrow.

Thanks. How much is TGM and how far in advance can I order it? I already know from Denise's report that we want to do MVMCP. So I have that much figured out. Does he give advice on how to pick a hotel? I want the GF, Denise's report had me sold on that 1, but DH likes the look from pics of the WL and of course the kids like the AKL just from hearing about it on TV. My parents are looking at mods. and sister is not sure between values and mods based on budget.

I have used TGM for the last 2 trips and have already purchased for next August.

You can buy whenever you want. He doesn't have the dates up for December, but you can review last December and go from there.

I, for one, think it is well worth the money. Some people find the website hard to navigate, but if you follow through the steps he outlines, it helps.

I printed off the touring plans for all the parks and used his best day to go to parks chart and never waited.
