well, i'm not stalking anyone or anything..lol

I just got back from my WDW trip..

I live in PA, and we drove down to WDW and stayed at all-star music from the 17th-22nd of dec..
Was very nice, my first trip there (i had been to disneyland before though)

The parks are HUGE! lol
I was alittle upset i didn't see any shirts that looked made from here :( i had my camera with me the whole time and was just waiting to take a pic and post it up here..lol

One thing i thought was real cute..
On the bus to MK one morning there was a little girl about 5-6yr old.. with her mom and dad.
We were all sitting near the front of the bus..

As we rounded the corner and saw the castle she jumped up and down and said there was where cinderella lived..then she paused and said "where she lived if she would have been real."

her dad said "what do you mean she is real"

you should have seen her face! lol
her jaw dropped and she said "you mean she's really real? can we go see her?"

Dad quickly recovered and replied "well shes real busy and she and prince charming can't see everyone" and his daughter was like "He's real too??"

And what did dad reply?

"Of course he is.... your mother married him"

Even the bus driver laughed at that one..lol
That is so cute. How busy or crowded was it? We're looking at those same dates for our 10th anniversary trip in 2007. I wanted earlier but my sister didn't want her DD to miss too much school. Any advice for that time of year would be appreciated. Our first trip was before I found the boards and was not well planned. Hoping for a more magical trip this time. :wizard: I figure I have 2 years as opposed to 2 months this time to plan. :goodvibes
Of course now I'm juggling 3 families plans, Mine my DSis and her family (who doesn't even know what an ADR is :earseek: ) and my parents. Because I mentioned some ideas, I have now been put in charge of everything from figuring out best hotels for everyone's varying budgets to restaurants and reservations and touring plans :confused3 . Hopefully, I don't mess it up as I'm trying to convince DH on DVC and this trip could convince or not convince him.

I know this is totally off topic... But DD is sitting here singing "the Farmer in the Dell" She has a few of the words mixed up and I am trying to remember how it went. Is the order: Farmer takes a wife... wife takes a child... child takes a dog...dog takes a cat....cat takes a mouse...mouse takes a fish...fish takes a worm.... hi ho the merrio the farmer in the Dell? At least that is how I am remembering it.
O.K. enough of the afternoon sing-a-long. Back to your regularly scheduled programming. :rotfl:

Happy Un-Decorating!!

We took all the stuff down on the 1st- I couldn't bear to look at it any more since it had been up since the day after Thanksgving. DS2 (Kyle) still asks where "the houses" went (Referring to the Dickens Christmas Village I display on top of our entertainment center in the family room). I told him they would be back next year when Santa comes back and he wanted to know why Santa took them with him.... :rotfl:

:rotfl2: That's too cute!

Tree is gone :0( Nothing left but a big empty space and a carpet to vacuum.

tammi - was there at this time - you should really ask her - she and her husband bought into DVC on their trip

Hey Cinderumbrella I noticed from your signature that you stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in Oct. How did you like it? My family will be there 4 weeks from today.
I take it that you liked it because your going back in Dec. But I was just wondering.

We absolutely loved it!! We have always stayed deluxe before but decided to take our chance on a moderate this time. We stayed in Oak Manor and had a wonderful time. The boat to DTD is really fun- we did that a couple of nights to go to Ghiradellis. Boatwrights was a nice alternative to the food court for breakfast. Bus service was better than we anticipated. I highly recommend it to all you non-DVCers!

I've wondered how you are doing!!!!

I'm proud to say I still fit in my jeans, but that's not gonna last for long if I keep giving into my cravings!!! :rotfl:

My due date is July 14th. :goodvibes

Amy :)

First off yeah!! a July baby (I am a convenience store 7/11 is my birthday :rotfl: )

And you may be lucky I gave into all my cravings with both girls and nobody could tell I was pregnant until the end!!

But I say let the designing begin!!

Yeah, should ask tammi.. she most likely knows more.. My wife and her sister planned the whole thing..

all i did was pay for it and go along..lol

We had the dining plan and they planed out all the meals also.

wife said is was supposed to be less crowded at that time.. but i don't really like big crowds at all..so it still seemed like ALOT of people to me..

I'm sure tammi will help you out :)

Thats all for now folks- puppy is doing the pee-pee dance and Kyle wants me to come play choo-choo with him

See ya! :wave2:

rosiejo, your allowed 3 pics (yours is just 1 pic).
and a total for all pics is 50KB. (That's 51,200 bytes).

so the optimized one would be like half your allowed..

BTW, i like your pics.. the black and white one with just you and your husband colored is really cool!

I've been messing around with a new coloring tool.. and it can do awsome things with black and white photos..

Thanks :0) My photographer did them in photoshop - I'm just learning how to use it now and you can do some ace stuff :goodvibes

I subscribed to TGM and followed his advice for best parks/day and his touring plans. I was a master planner. The crowds were very managable, but I think that's because of TGM. It was wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to go that time of year again. I just wish the weather had been warmer, but that is hit or miss anytime. If you are going to go at a busy time of year, I would recommend TGM. But that is a whole other debate....

I had read up on DVC so I already knew what it was about, but DH was another story. We took the tour so he could hear it from the "expert" and we were hooked!

I gotta now also. Meeting some friends at Frontera for mexican and margaritas. Talk to DH and is taking the boys for hotwings.....so everyone is happy.

Talk to ya'll later tonight........everyone play nicely.

Tammi -

we knew NOTHING about DVC when we went - I was pg with J and Steve went on ToT and RNR and I chatted with the guides right by there - Steve says it was the most expensive ride he ever went on

we went the next day for our tour and that was it

BTW - our guide must be really good b/c he is the senior DVC guide now

Took Nick to the doctor today after a sleepless night

he has croup - a HORRIBLE ear infection and possibly strep throat but she didn't do the test since she was putting him on antibiotics anyway

so much for our romantic weekend
I'm sorry to hear that. :wizard: Hope he feels better soon. :wizard:
