Thanks Shriva - what's the max I can have? I was wondering if I could have something a little bigger so not so pixelated... but then am I being vain and selfish as like you say the smaller our images the quicker the site runs and I am constantly getting told the server is too busy!!!

Took Nick to the doctor today after a sleepless night

he has croup - a HORRIBLE ear infection and possibly strep throat but she didn't do the test since she was putting him on antibiotics anyway

so much for our romantic weekend

So, so, sorry Kate. Maybe he'll be feeling better by tomorrow evening and the two of you could still go out for dinner if in-laws(?) are willing to watch them.

Yup. In fact, I never actually started them. I was in the process of starting them when I got ok'd for surgery. My surgeon told me to hold off on the meds for a while until I recovered and we'd take it from there. Do you know how liberating it is to shred a prescription?

Sounds awesome!

All right you guys... You really have made me feel welcome after a very rough week. I am testing the waters right now... but I will keep this handy in case I need it.

By the way, is that a new picture of your daughter? It's lovely!

Well, it is snack time here at our house. Leighanna is pulling me out of my chair right now. Hmmm... Graham crackers and milk sounds good to me too right now.

Also got a kick out of "going to the loo"
Oops, sorry, didn't mean to add potty humor ;)

:rotfl2: I laugh at potty - that's what we call the thing you potty-train children on. Small plastic thing...

We call the grown up version a toilet or loo (or other horrible words like bog)

Hi everyone :wave2: Thought I would jump in & join you on the new thread.

MAC - Sorry to hear about your dd, hugs to you & your family.

Obviously you are the host and judge - I was just trying to help.

Now moving back to my letter board (just being Vanna).

Well DH is home - wants to know why the tree is still up...

He just got the boxes out of the loft so I'm off to dismantle it :0(

Welcome back, Tom!!

Happy Un-Decorating!!

We took all the stuff down on the 1st- I couldn't bear to look at it any more since it had been up since the day after Thanksgving. DS2 (Kyle) still asks where "the houses" went (Referring to the Dickens Christmas Village I display on top of our entertainment center in the family room). I told him they would be back next year when Santa comes back and he wanted to know why Santa took them with him.... :rotfl:

rosiejo, your allowed 3 pics (yours is just 1 pic).
and a total for all pics is 50KB. (That's 51,200 bytes).

so the optimized one would be like half your allowed..

BTW, i like your pics.. the black and white one with just you and your husband colored is really cool!

I've been messing around with a new coloring tool.. and it can do awsome things with black and white photos..

This is Vanna White. She has been on "Wheel of Fortune" for a bazillion years. It is a game where you guess the letters to a puzzle (i.e. Hangman where you win money instead of dying). In the original days, she actually turned the letters of the puzzle. Now days, she just touches them. Totally useless, but eye-candy I guess.

By the way, we hold up or stockings with garters.

Glynis -- congrats on the news from your doctor. Rip! (your prescription for bp meds)

Kate -- so sorry to hear about Nick. I hope that he feels better soon and that he and Julia get better ASAP.

Jen -- have a great cruise!

Clare -- I'm guessing that loft is attic?

I took mine all down yesterday. It does look bare now :guilty:

All our christmas stuff has been down for a week now..its weird without all the christmas stuff!

My grandmother was told when she was young that you had to take down your Christmas decorations before the first of the year, or it is bad luck. So I have to get mine down or I hear it from my parents! There are those that believe that you can't take them down until AFTER, or it's bad luck. There are those who just don't care either way. Anyway, I decorate in a big way for Christmas, and have always had a hard time because the house does look bare when I put all the Christmas away. The last few years I have started adding to my Valentine's decorations, so now when I take down Christmas, I put up Valentine's. I don't have nearly as many things for V-day, but I've found that it adds a little cheer around the house.
