With all the sad news last night I forgot to post about Hunter's last game of the season. He plays Rec league so the games are more like scrimages, but to him it was a huge game. In the first inning he was playing second base. With one out he caugt a pop fly and tagged second base to make a double play. He was so proud of himself. Because of his great outfielding the couches picked him to be up first. He had a good hit and made it to second base. He scored the first run for his team. 2nd inning he had a nice play at short stop. They reversed the batting order so he was up last. Another nice hit and he drove in a run. Third inning. His best friend was at bat and he hit a line drive to Hunter at third base. He fielded it and tagged 3rd base to get the last out of the inning. He was up first again and made it to second, then scored another run. We don't really keep score, but I know that Hunter's team killed the other team. Hunter's team batted through their order all 3 innings and the other team got 3 outs before batting through their batting order. ;) :cool1: My parents were both there and Chris's Mom, boyfriend and aunt came too. He was so happy, a very nice ending to a short season. He was floating on :cloud9: Next year they will play against neighboring towns, although we may put him in lacrosse instead.

Deb

Congratulations on a wonderful evening. I know it makes me so happy when my boys are excited about having a good game!!! Way to go Hunter :cheer2:

My sister had her baby at 9:05 PM, June 13. I got to be there, and even cut the cord (my BIL didn't want to)! He is such a cutie!

She named him Sawyer (because it was the only boys name in the baby book her and her husband liked) Howard (after our grandpa).

7 pounds 1.1 ounce
21" long
4 hours of labor! (no typo, just four!)
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Cute, cute, cute, cute, cute!!!!!

What a handsome boy!!!

Congrats Aunt Teresa!!

Before I go back and catch up some more:

:cheer2: Yah!!! Clare!!!! Awesome job on the papers, I am sure your smarts had more to do with it than our pixie dust!!!

Yep Onsite disney is harder for larger families. If you can afford it I say go for it. :thumbsup2 I would love to stay at a Deluxe but we have way too many medical bills between DH's ongoing medical condition, Zachary's problem and Caleb's Kidney problems. Still, I'm looking forward to POR. After all it's Disney. Still I'm holding out hope for our 10th anniversary trip in DEC 2007. Your report on the GF has me dreaming. :cloud9: Maybe DH's company will make a huge profit next year and we'll get some of it. :teeth: When do you leave for your beach trip? I hope your family has a wonderful time. :goodvibes
Just a thought but might want to check your ADR's after switching back to make sure they didn't drop any (not sure if they're connected to hotel room :confused3 )

My anniversary is in December of 2007 too!!! What day did you get married?

I always feel so bad for you up posting alone late at night!!! I know to you it isn't late but we are all usually in bed by then!!

I think POR is really pretty!!!

JUNE –

THANK YOU

Nick loves his Mater and he goes perfectly with the Lightning McQueen he got yesterday!!!

Tammi – since she left $5 – She gets and A+ - I think the first tooth always deserves more!! Was he excited this morning?

Denise - If John wants CR – I would not argue!!!! I could not imagine losing one of my kids and I know it would just break the other one – I can’t imagine that happening with triplets! They will all be in my prayers this week1

Deb – I am sorry you are bummed about this weekend – can you ride your bikes somewhere else?

Steffy – I love October in WDW!!! I don’t know what to tell you

Clare – WTG!! We are proud of you too!!!! And I think your hard work had more to do with it than our prayers!!

Teresa – Sawyer is beautiful!!!!!

Vicki – seeing a baby born is AMAZING! I have been at the birth of two (besides mine ;))– and cried during both!! Maybe Dawn or Amy would let you in!!! :teeth:

Robyn – could you send some cinnamon rolls my way?

Deb – Congrats on a great game Hunter!!!!

Wanted to give you all the "official" surgery update.

The surgeon called late Friday night with the pathology report. It came back showing "Chronic Cholecystitis" Cholecystitis is an inflammation of the gallbladder wall and nearby abdominal lining. Cholecystitis is usually caused by a gallstone in the cystic duct, the duct that connects the gallbladder to the hepatic duct. Other causes of cholecystitis may include gallbladder sludge which is what the surgeon saw on the abdominal ultrasound. Chronic just means it had been going on for a significant period of time.

Here is a link telling all about it. http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/uvahealth/adult_liver/chole.cfm

Rees has done so well this week. He never needed any pain meds and has been eating around the clock. He has a voracious appetite again. He is feeling very good and went swimming today and rode his new bike (for his 6th birthday on June 23rd) for about 30 minutes. You can barely even see 2 of the 4 incisions they have healed so nicely. He's a completely new child. We agree with the surgeon that this appears to have been the source of all his pain and GI problems. We are just so grateful that Dr. Wulkan figured out what was wrong.

John and I want to express our deep gratitude to you all for keeping Rees and our family in your prayers over the past 2 months. Your concern, emails, calls, and cards mean more to us than you can know.
yeah, I am so glad this seems to be the cure. So has he gained any of the weight back that he lost.
Your very welcome for all the prayers that went up from here.

:woohoo: way to go Hunter.

I have a question for everyone! I'm trying to be creative here, but I stole my MNSSHP costume idea from someone else. I emailed them to make sure we wern't going the same day (which would have actually been cool!) and since I stole their costumes I offered to pass along the trick or treat bags I'm making for us to them for their MNSSHP. (Phew, that's a long sentence!) So, we are going as some people from Trading Spaces complete with hats and "paint bucket" trick or treat bags from canvas bags. I thought on the front I'll put the words "PAINT" and then on the back I could put something along the lines of "Trading Spaces from Ohio to Indiana in Walt Disney World"....which is where we and they are from. Anyone else think of something catchy for the back? Or should I just not worry about it at all?

Good Morning DDA,

Just a quick post this morning as I have to get things in gear and finish up my projects, time is flying by.

Reading the posts this morning brought me to tears, it is so sad when little ones suffer. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and families.

Congrats to many for all the great accomplishments, talk about inflation, I remember getting a dime for a tooth! Guess that just proves that I really am getting old.

Have a Great Day,

Debbie

This is a vent and you do not need to read this, I am just up to my armpits in …..BLAH!!!

Yesterday it’s Katie has passed and today it’s mil SIL (the one in MI who has cervical cancer) has been given two weeks to two years. *** is going on!!!!

I know God has a plan and we have no clue what it is, but honestly! This is a bit much for two days. I had decided this morning that I would put my tears aside for Katie and make the day the best we could because you should live everyday to the fullest and then we get another crappy phone call. That’s it!!!! I am not answering the phone again today or tomorrow!!! Maybe I should just have the stupid thing disconnected, ok that’s not reality but wow am I done with sad news.

So here some my feelings as of now

:confused3 :grouphug: :badpc: :furious:   :sad1: :scared1: :headache: :worried:

Thank you for reading this and letting me vent.

Here is the link to my friend whose son Jacob (a BBB triplet) died yesterday. I am sobbing with tears pouring down my face. I am so heartbroken. I can't imagine losing one of my trio and how hard that must be for his brothers.

Here is the link to Jacob's page. He is only 3 weeks older than my kids. Heather and I were pg together.
